Having issues with brake noise when only in reverse? I have extremely loud break noise only when I reverse out. Could this just mean I need to get a break change?
View 14 RepliesI just got a 2009 lexus gs 350 everything is perfect except when i go into reverse and back up slowly the brakes make a loud squeaking noise!! Its really annoying and embarrassing. I got the rotors resurfaced and nothing.
View 3 RepliesI'm having issues with very loud screeching noises on my 08 awd. Sounds like a garbage truck. Lexus said its $625 to replace brake pads and rotors to stop the noise. I'm not really a fan of DIY so is that a fair price for the parts and labor or should I bring it somewhere else?
View 14 RepliesI have a 2010 Elantra Touring, manual transmission. At about 30,000 miles it developed an odd feature which continues through the present time with just under 50,000 miles. At any speed and on any road from time to time I suddenly get a loud interior noise like driving right next to a train running on a track. There is no vibration, just a very loud rumbling sound drowning out the radio. Goes away after a few minutes, does not recur on the same piece of road, same temperature, or same time of day. When it first occurred the dealer inspected it and though they could not hear it they divined that the aftermarket cruise control mounting bracket had become loose and was vibrating. They tightened it and the sound went away for a year but is now back louder than ever. I checked the bracket and it is tight and the dealer can find nothing loose. The bumper to bumper warranty is about to expire. I am thinking a crack in a steel bearing surface or a bad weld causing a vibration running through the body. Again I feel no actual vibration through the steering wheel.

View 3 RepliesI recently leased a 2013 RX 350 and started hearing a weird loud noise almost in the first week itself. It seems to happen whenever I shift the gears from Reverse to Drive. The loud noise comes from the back of the car and anyone sitting in the car (speakers turned off) can hear/feel it. It seems to be worse in the morning (or when the engine is cold).
I took it to the lexus service center and the person told me something about differential pressure, which I really didn't understand:-). However, he said nothing can be done and its not a safety issue and sent me back home without any fix. I have driven many cars in my life so far and never ever came across something like this. Is it something normal at all?
Have mechanical issues with my Lexus, I own an 07- es350. Everytime i put the Lexus in reverse/drive sounds like i have a huge bird under my hood chirping very loud. View 1 RepliesI have a 2008 GS350. Been having brake clicking when I move from reverse to drive and lately been happening more when driving regularly. Brought it in to Lexus to get the complimentary 19-point inspection and they said I needed new brake pads and rotors. I did do a search and found it can be issues with front spindles, sway bar, bushings.
View 5 RepliesI just took my wifes 2013 S to the dealer over a very loud ticking noise that I suspected was the fuel injectors. It ticks at all speeds, idle, etc. The dealer called and said that it was a completely normal sound. I have an identical model except it's a 2012 and it makes absolutely no noise. Her car has only 5000 miles on it. I was wondering if this is a common problem or if the sound truly is normal. This wouldn't be the first time that a stealership has given me the run around.

View 12 RepliesOur 2013 RX350 has a brake pedal that makes a pretty loud noise when it snaps back after you depress it a little harder and take your foot off. I complained to my SA, and they told me it's normal. It's not a big deal, but any other car I have owned, I have never noticed such a thing.
View 12 RepliesAccent 2006. When I start the car and start to drive, the car rock on the driver's side. I think it's the driver's rear. Then the feeling of a flat tire is felt but the tire seems to be ok. Occasionally hear a loud noise like from the exhaust and when I stop at a stop sign or stop lights and release the brake the car does not move till the accelerator is pressed and it rocks again and moves. It has 99000 km on it.

View 10 RepliesI recently noticed that when I release the parking brake on our new 15 F-Sport it make a loud noise. It's hard to explain, but it kind of sounds like a spring being released with a clunking sound. (Sorry for the weird description).
When I press the brake to set it I am not pushing it all the way to the floor or forcing it at all. I am just using normal pressure to apply it.
Just picked up a new 2014 rx fsport and 75% of the time I release the e-brake it has a loud clunk as if metal smashing metal. I tried releasing it really slow and it still does the same. The vehicle is parked on flat pavement. It is not a low click noise that I am used to but a loud clunk.
View 6 RepliesWhat is this metal on metal noise...you hear it the best around the 7-12 second mark...it is especially loud on cold start in the morning when you put the car in "drive" but don't move the car forward. It also is prevalent on hot days when you park the car outside and just start the car. The sound gets louder when you turn on the a/c during the hot day.

I have a '07 GS350 RWD with 121k miles. I had my transmission fluid drained and refilled at 90k miles.
Every time I go into reverse, there's a clunk noise. But all my gears shift smoothly.
Recently traded in a 2004 ES330 for a Lexus Certified Pre-owned 2009 GS 350 AWD with 32,000 miles. Wasn't in the market for a GS but with such low miles and it being a CPO and the price was in my budget so went for it. Once I got it home, I am starting to notice the engine noise, like its kinda loud.
For some reason didn't notice it while doing the test drive but now, its like when I am driving, I get conscious about it so much so that I have to turn the radio on to take my mind off of it.
So was just curious if its the case with every GS. My 2004 ES had less of an engine noise, and I am thinking the GS is a CPO so it shouldn't be something out of the norm but still wanted to get some perspective here for peace of mind.
My GS 430 2006 has a noise in the front like a rrrrrrrrrrr its constantly and loud every 30 seconds i could said. The same noise I had hear it since I bought it , but not like now .

The location sounds like it is coming from the glove box area but not really behind it, more below and behind it..
I am running into issues with my 3GS recently I am hearing loud ticking noise coming from the left side on the front of my car and from what most of people have told me is it might be my Axle or my wheel bearing so was wondering what the part number was for both of them and what is the best place to order these two parts from.
