06 GS300 Drove all day in freezing rain, but when I went to leave the store, the drivers side windshield wiper decided to stop working. I was able to make it back to the parking lot. The passenger side is working fine, but that was not working for me at the time. What could have caused this issue?

View 4 RepliesI have a 2006 Camry LE. It seems as if the wipers on my Camry are not wiping as far as they should/could. Specifically, the driver's side wiper only wipes to about 4" from the edge of the driver's/left side edge of the windshield.
This wasn't so much a problem in the rain, but in heavy snow, it leaves a pretty severe blindspot in the driver's left side of the windshiled. It seems as if the wiper should wipe at least another 2-3" further to remove more rain/snow from the windshield and give the driver a better line of view.
Further, when the wipers come back down, they come to a "clunk" as if they were coming down too far. Is there an adjustment for the wiper arms/wiper motor to allow them to wipe more of the windshield?
I recently purchased a '09 LS460 SWB. I noticed the driver side windshield wiper arm sitting up high enough to be in my field of vision.
I'm aware that there is a "winter mode" that allows you to raise the arm up a few inches, but from everything I've read....usually the driver and passenger side arm raise together.
In my case, my passenger side arm sits nice and low near the hood, while the dirver is sitting an inch or two higher.
I tried pushing the driver arm down (with success), but after cycling the windshield wipers once, the driver side arm goes back to the higher position.
My Driver side wiper arm does not seem to work well. If there is a little bit of snow, it won;t move. If it does move, it is not in sync with the passenger side. It will even go off the window.
What may be the issue? This started when my wife move the arm manual over some snow.
Bought new wipers (Michelin) a few weeks ago. For the first two weeks, there was a nice, smooth, noise-free wipe.
Now the driver's side wiper has developed a very annoying chatter. What I noticed is that there were a bunch of very thin lines on the driver's side windshield, almost as though the rubber had rubbed off and left the lines (which ran in the exact same direction as the wiper). I've tried a special glass cleaner, wd-40 on the wiper. I clay barred the windshield this morning as a last resort but haven't tested it out yet.
Last night while driving in the ice and snow storm we had in the north east my passenger side wiper started acting funny was hitting the driver side wiper and not going full cycle. I think there is something wrong with the linkage,the driver side works fine bringing it in for service Monday.

The Prius that I bought brand new last October has developed a crack just above the driver's side windshield wiper. I noticed it today while washing the car. At that time it was about eight or nine inches long, and relatively hard to see due to being so low on the windshield. I inspected the crack very carefully and could not see ANY type of impact damage. After driving it around for the day, the crack has now splintered off and is going in a few different directions now. In a couple of places along the crack a few small chips have also broken off.
View 10 Replies2002 Nissan Maxima w/ 134,000 mi. Driver side wiper blade squeaks mercilessly when windshield wet. I've: changed blades twice; cleaned blades & windshield thoroughly with alcohol; w/ ammonia; with vinegar, for each using paper towels and also tried with newspaper; cleaned windshield dry with baking soda. Baking soda seemed to work at first but soon returned to previous squeakiness. It's driving me nuts and the wet weather is around the corner!

I stopped to get gas and turned off the wipers( it was raining), got gas and went to turn on the wipers, they are not working. I don't even hear the motor run. When I was trying to research online, one of the solutions I came across was spraying WD-40 on the motor to dry up the water and try to fix the problem.here are my questions. 1. does this work? 2. do I need a new motor? 3. If I decide to spray WD-40, do I need to take the wiper arms and the plastic guard on the front to access the motor or can I spray through the grill on the plastic cover?
View 1 RepliesI have a 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring Wagon. I've only had it for 3 months. Right after I got it, I noticed that the wiper on the driver side left streaks when used. I replaced both wipers with Trico Exact Fit, but the problem persisted. I just changed the driver's side one [b]again. This time with a $21 Teflon top-of-the-line blade (24"). It now streaks less, but the top 6" or so (outer edge of the wiper) still streaks.
Having ruled out the blades, could this be a wiper arm tension issue or am I using a blade that's too long?
I recently purchased a 2006 GS 300 AWD from a friend with about 90k miles. After getting accustomed to this vehicle, I began to notice that the driver's side door handle does not automatically unlock the door as I know it should.
I've troubleshooted and changed the settings for each door handle through the key fob to unlock every door instead of just the drivers door. Every other door handle sensor works, besides the drivers door. I can lock and unlock doors with every other door handle but can not lock or unlock from the drivers side door sensor or the button on the door handle.
I've changed my key fob battery as I read that that might have something to do with it, but alas, no luck and I doubt that was the problem since the other doors have worked fine since I've gotten the car.
Do the sensors on these door handles go bad? Is there a way to replace them and are parts/labor expensive?
I bought replacement blades for Drivers side and rear window.
I'm half-way mechanical... OK , maybe 1/4. It appears that the blades themselves are not replaceable; only the refill (squeegee) portion is. is this correct?
Front-drivers-side actually looks like the complete blade may come off, but it's not obvious how it releases.
The rear appears to have no way to easily remove the complete blade.
My passanger side blade has been hitting the side of my windshield randomly since the car was new. Wasn't able to replicate the issue at the dealer so I was pulling the blade off last night to investigate and broke the small square retaining clip (Red arrow). Do the clip assembly (Blue arrow) can be purchased separately or if I have to buy a whole new wiper.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2007 Toyota Camry. The wiper arm on the driver side is not moving while the one on the passenger side is working fine. I thought the wipers went bad and changed to new ones but the problem is still there. Is there something wrong with a motor?
View 3 RepliesI have no windshield wipers. Since i bought the truck ive fixed other issues but cannot figure out the issue with the wipers. Tested for power not sure if it's accurate but seems like there is power to the harness to the motor but not 100% positive.... Can it be the switch? Blinkers and rest on same switch still work but no ww. I also dont hear clicking from a solenoid like ive read on some research.. Fuses are all good pulled everyone out since they arent labeled with numbers next to them...im at such a stand still and cant drive the truck was screwed the other day when we got sun showers for nor reason and i was on a major highway.

View 2 RepliesI recently bought a used 2010 Prius and I've noticed that the Windshield wiper position on the passenger side stops below the windshield. This causes a slight "thunking" sound when the wipers are going. I'm trying to see if this is something that is relatively easy to fix myself. Judging by the position if I move the passenger side up I'll also have to move the driver side.

View 2 RepliesI'm working on a 2003 that the front wiper and sprayer quit working on. The rear wiper and sprayer still work fine. We replaced the multifunction switch and no change. I would like to test the motor before we keep throwing parts at it.
View 5 Replies6.7L ... Just traded in my F250 on a 2011 F350 Lariat. Love it. Period. Except that my windshield wiper sprayers will not work. I don't hear anything when I hit the button. No click or motor running. I can't figure out what fuse it is because I don't have an owners manual.
