Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Different Engine Oil Capacity For AWD Vs RWD

Noticed that the engine oil volume for the GS350 AWD is larger than for the RWD car.
I am guessing this extra oil goes to the front diff, as Lexus tells me the front diff oil cannot be replaced.

The gas tank on my 2006 Honda CRV is identified in the manual as holding 14 gallons (US). When I fill it to the auto-stop of the pump nozzle, I get about 270 miles until the low fuel light comes on (indicating about 30 miles to go). I have recently discovered that if I continue to very slowly and carefully continue to fill the tank, I can add as much as another 3 1/2 gallons up to 15 1/2 gallons total added on top of the residual gas (between 1 and 2 gallons) in the tank. This gives me as much as 350 miles until the light comes on. Are there any negative issues in doing this?

So got out of my car this afternoon, dropped something, and saw this for the first time since I bought the car three months ago. What it is that reduced the towing capacity?
In reading it closer, I guess it is 'carrying capacity' that has been reduced, not towing.

The specs says 23gl in total capacity. However, the last couple times I filled up gas, it was 19+ gl I put in with about 20+miles indicated on screen before filling up. So it means ~21gl in total capacity? I assume with 20+ miles left = ~2 gl of gasoline. I know the calculation is rough?

The manual for the 450H does not agree with what I am experiencing.
1. The Manual says the fuel capacity is 17 gal, but with an empty tank the most I can put the tank is around 14 gallons. What is the real capacity, and why does the manual say 1y7 gallons.
2. For my 450H with 19 inch wheels the manual says tire pressure should be 33 psi. However, when delivered from the factory the tire were 39 psi. What should the tire capacity be?
There seems to examples throughout the manual of conflicting information.

We have a 2013 Camry with the 2.5l engine.
I just changed the oil and filter for the first time. The good book says the capacity is 4.6 qt. I did that, started the engine, let it circulate then shut it off for a half hour. The dip stick shows about half way between the full and add markers. So, seems like the capacity to the fill line is more like 5 qt.

I decided to check my engine's oil and do an oil change. I decided to also check out how my zip ties were holding up too. then i noticed this. This is right next to the oil pan Here"s a farther shot. Not sure where the leak is coming from.

On the left side of the engine bay towards the bottom, under the intake kind of in between the engine and fan there is a black box with wires running to it. What is this box?
Mine has some sort of short and I can't get to it because it is dark.

I have a 2006 GS300, just took it to the dealer as the VSC light came on and had engine hesitation. After checking them out, I was told that the engine needs to be rebuilt. I was informed that due to carbon built up on the manifold is causing the problem. How is it possible for a car with just 88K miles to have this problem? Should I had them recheck? Perhaps a sensor?

I bought in my 2006 GS300 to Lexus dealer 2 weeks ago for the engine misfire issue and were told to call corporate 'cuz it's over the 9 yr period for 1 month. Called and told me to bring it back for inspection on the issue. Dealer performed the test and found the misfire, but got a call from dealer that they won't cover it because I missed it by 1 month. I had explained to the rep that we moved around quite a bit and found out about this not too long ago.

I have a 06 gs300 that I just got a few months ago. Ive been having issues with idling and I got code reading which was Po300. After doing some research I found there was a recall on the engine for misfires. I called the lexus dealer and they had no idea what I was talking about.

My 08 GS keep showing low engine oil light on every 2 months after oil change. And I can't see any oil leaking mark under the car and ground. I'm wondering if there is any issue relate with the last recall.

I've got a friend who had a leak repaired on his '98 Chevy S-10 pickup but didn't have the system recharged. I have a vacuum pump and gauges and told him I would pull a vacuum and recharge it for him, but he doesn't know the refrigerant capacity and I don't have manuals on this model. What is the capacity? I'm figuring 1.5-2 lbs but would like to know exactly what's recommended by GM before starting on it so I can tell him how much refrigerant to buy.

Engine ticking not there when its cold but when it warms up, it gets louder.
I took a 3 hour drive to Memphis, TN and when I got there, the ticking was gone. it sounded like it brand new with 0 miles. I opened up the hood to see maybe it just quieted down but no, it was gone. if you put your ear to the engine cover you can hear the direct injection but faintly.

Engine oil smells like gas when I pulled the dipstick today. I wiped it off and smelled the towel and yup... Its the smell of gas.
My '10 is 44,000 miles would warranty fix this?

Recently traded in a 2004 ES330 for a Lexus Certified Pre-owned 2009 GS 350 AWD with 32,000 miles. Wasn't in the market for a GS but with such low miles and it being a CPO and the price was in my budget so went for it. Once I got it home, I am starting to notice the engine noise, like its kinda loud.
For some reason didn't notice it while doing the test drive but now, its like when I am driving, I get conscious about it so much so that I have to turn the radio on to take my mind off of it.
So was just curious if its the case with every GS. My 2004 ES had less of an engine noise, and I am thinking the GS is a CPO so it shouldn't be something out of the norm but still wanted to get some perspective here for peace of mind.

The problem appears only when pulling hard from cold start i.e., up hill, as the car warms after about a mile the problem goes away not to return until next cold start. The problem is an engine noise that sounds like a low note knock similar to a big end noise, it sounds to heavy to be tappets or piston slap.
What I can not understand is if it was any of the above it would not go away as the car warmed. Revving the engine at a standstill from cold does not produce the noise, only under load.
The car is a 2006 GS300 with 133000miles on the clock ....

About a year ago i notice this vibration and took it to my local lexus shop they stated that my engine mount is bad. bought the mount from lexus and change and vibration is still there...,my question is am i the only one that is having this engine vibration problem or this a common problem for the 06-11 awd.?

I just wondering is that normal that my 2006 gS450H not increasing engine RPM when in P or N accelerator pedal is like dead when driving all OK....
I have tech stream software 2 errors are about solar sensor circuit that's it (did full health check). In live data it show accelerator position if I press more down it show accelerator position change but no increase in RPM??? I tested other GS450H and then RPMs increased somehow in P position. Also 2 days ago did MOT then also RPMs increased they tested emissions.
