Got this weird vibration I noticed today. Car is in D. Stopped in place. Close all windows, and hold the window switches for an extra second.
I hear something in the engine compartment get a little louder, and the car vibrates a little..... until I let go of the window switch. What is it?
I have 06 gs300, it vibrates a little bit when i hold on to brake and gear in drive, I did take it to dealership and they want $1300 for this job to be done. Replacement of Motor Mount on 2006 GS300 AWD
View 13 RepliesI've been having some troubles with my 2009 Hyundai sonata GLS 100k 4 cyl. Its quite an odd issue I've been having with my power windows. It seems that the switches or relays stop working intermittently however it does it in an odd fashion. First the drivers master switch works for all but sometimes not for the front passenger up nor down . The front passenger switch/relay does not work at times, up nor down, the rear passenger does not go up at all and the rear driver switch does not go down at all. I can't for the life of me fathom what might actually be the issue other than, all the switches breaking at the same time(due to power surge ?) Another theory I have is that is that my passengers and I sometimes place cellphones in the door handle and may have somehow damaged the switch ? I know these are some whacky conjectures but that I can think of.
View 9 RepliesThe other day I got out of the car and forgot to close the windows. So I tried to hold the key fob LOCK button to close them. Nothing. Yet holding the UNLOCK will OPEN them? Now how often will someone want to OPEN windows with the FOB versus close? Put another way, I am assuming that there IS a definitive way to use the FOB to CLOSE the windows/roof but I can't figure it out.
As an aside, I guess I a bit "slow". I JUST figured out, after almost 2 years of ownership, that the CD player will read MP3 files...hundreds on 1 disc versus about 20 song on an old style CD.
On my is, I can remotely open and close the windows and sunroof with my key, by holding the buttons for several seconds.
I seem to remember that this function was engaged by my dealership. however i do not like this function, as I always carry my key in my pocket, and have several times opened the windows by accident because the key button have been pressed while i have the key inside my pocket.
I want disengage this function, preferably without visiting my dealership. Any step by step manual or how to do instruction? Does not say anything about how to do this in the cars manual.
Got really cold this morning, around 26F, went ahead and opened the trunk, put some stuff in, and then ... tried to close it and the latch wouldn't hold. It would just bounce off ... tried it a couple of times (4-5) and it finally closed. It's the second time it happens ...
View 14 RepliesSE with Nav & Sunroof, when opening & closing Tilt the motor vibrates and the hinges squeak, after the dealer apparently lubricated the s/roof the squeaking etc is still happening..
The service manager says it's the rubber water seals closing or pulling apart! he says that after lubrication just 1car wash will enable the squeaking to return!!!!!
He also says that the trunk on my wife's 2012 Jetta should not fully pop open when using the keyfob, buy it popped fully open for 2 months - now it's just lifts a little..did VW reprogram via the internet? or whats the story...........
Having bought an 06 GS450h in December.
Recently I have been getting an intermittent problem with my audio system where all radio channels are getting interference, then after a short, random amount of time, the audio system switches itself off and ejects one of the 6 CDs. If I turn it on again, it turns off (again after a random amount of time) and ejects another of the remaining CDs.
This problem is not constant, and happens maybe once or twice a week and does not stop until the car has been at rest for a little while.
I have an '03 Passat 1.8T. The windows will not operate off any of the door switches. I have swapped out the driver's door switch, and still to no avail, the windows will not operate. The windows DO however, operate off of the key when hold it in the lock and unlock position. I checked the fuses, those are good.
View 2 RepliesI had some work done on a door at a body shop, battery died, when I got car back all the switches on the master control were flashing, and the right rear door that was taken off and worked on,but all windows worked, now the swiches dont flash but the master control wont work with rear passenger door. I read you have to program all window switched again, I tried that in the online description here but its not working?
View 1 RepliesI recently purchased a GS350 from auction, thought it ran and drove, got it home, the car had a blown motor. it was an insurance scam from what i gathered. well, car is running and driving now, everything works great not a single warning light on the dash, but i do have a problem with the power windows.
The pass side front and rear windows wont go down, the seat memory doesn't work, and the window switches are flashing... i tried reprogramming them as one of the posts said by lowering the window half way etc that's fine but my pass side window wont go down at all. all fuses check out. and my sunroof works like it should. does this sound like a Module inside the door issue?
Had the remote windows mod done last night...now when I lock my car, well use the remote to close the windows, it beeps...I had turned it off on my MFD, is there another VAG COM code I gotta do to shut it off completely?
View 2 RepliesRecently I was driving down the road in my 99 B5 1.8T AUTO and my power windows stopped working from all the interior switches. First thing I did was get out of the car and use the key to roll them down, which worked fine. Here is what I have tried/looked into so far:
- All fuses are fine except #14 which i replaced
- Swapped the master control switch in the drivers door
- Checked the wire harness under driver carpet and the ground wire for frays or breaks
- Checked the CCM connectors and board for anything burnt or damaged
I will also add that the locks work from the door switches and the power mirrors don't work as well.
My 08 gs350 makes a clicking noise when you open the doors really wide and again as you close it. I've tightened all the screws around the door check... Also lubed it as good as possible.
Could it be something to do with the door check pin? How do you replace it?
So the window switches and hatch release switch have decided they want to stop working. Along with actually locking my car from the inside or keyfob. I have checked all the fuses and the wiring looks to be intact. The hatch release switch doesn't work but the fuel door switch Does work. The passenger side window switch also isn't working and of course both Windows are down.
View 6 RepliesI just recently replaced the driver side 4-button window switch with one from AARodriguez (FixmyVW.com) on my 2001 MKIV Golf. The new switch had been working fine, but over the last few months, the back windows intermittently wouldn't roll down. It was a gradual process that started when I realized that the windows would actually start to roll back DOWN when I was rolling them UP, or was it vice versa... regardless, it was backwards, and I would have to do it a few times to get it to work properly.
Now, the windows won't roll down at all using the driver's switch, but I do hear a click in the back doors as though some connection is being made. The windows just won't budge. The switches on the back doors work flawlessly, so I don't think it's the motors. The switches for the front windows on the new 4-button switch work fine. There's always a possibility I got a bum switch, or that this one went out, I suppose.
I have a 2007 Lexus GS 350 AWD. I've noticed that when I am at a light that the car has a little bit of a vibration, not bad but I notice it. I have put it in D and R and the car does the small vibration. When I put it into N it completely stops and is still. What the heck would that be from?
Also my steering wheel has a bit of a vibration when driving. I've especially noticed it at 20 - 25 MPH. It doesn't do it more when I brake, it is just something that happens and I can feel the whole time. What do you all think that could be?
I found this issue today after using my PIP for about a month. Front driver side's windows switch can not open/close the rear windows ( With un-lock button depressed), It can control front passenger side windows.

View 1 RepliesMy passenger and back door windows won't open with the use of their switches. I can open all three with the master control. I thought the master switch was bad and replaced it. The problem persists. Are these individual switches for the passenger and back doors in series, where one goes out and none work ?
View 4 RepliesOdd thing happened this evening, I took the truck for a short drive, rolled down the drivers power window, and then needed to turn on the map light, but realized it didn't work, same with the radio. The clock on the radio works, and now none of the window switches do anything.. I tested every fuse under the dash, even swapped around all of the relays that have the same part number, to no avail.. Is there something simple I'm missing that is a common problem with these trucks? I'd hate to have to leave my window down for awhile till I figure it out on my own..
