My trunk no longer unlock when I press on my remote, on the button inside the car or the button on the trunk. I have to open it with the key. My doors still works fine. What the problem could be?
View 4 RepliesI just picked up 2007 LS460. I used the remote to open the trunk, but can't use it to close the trunk. Can only close by pressing the button on the trunk to close. When i press close on the remote, it beeps, but does not do anything.

Once I press trunk close button on back of trunk, it seems have to wait until it closes before I can lock he entire car and walk away?
If I press the lock button too early, I get the alarm.
I am the new owner of a 2015 ES350 and I've found that my trunk can be opened using the button under the trunk lip even when I don't have the key fob in my possession (my 2014 Dodge Charger does the same thing). How to prevent anybody without the key fob in their possession from accessing my trunk?
View 14 RepliesOther than checking the fuse and the valet switch, anything else to look for when the trunk will not open via the key or the dash switch? The car does make the beep when the key remote is pressed, but no open. Also, the top works fine. Gas door works fine. Manual release of trunk also works.
View 9 RepliesHere is what is happening, if I press the unlock and lock button on remote or from any switch in the car , the front passenger door will not unlock! all of the doors will lock and unlock, except the front passenger dorr will not unlock only, it does lock,just not unlock, i think it may be a bad motor or actuator, I am sure it will be covered under the CPO warranty, especially since its only been less than 1 week since i had it.

View 4 RepliesFor 2015 we had the ability to use our key fob to start our cars. I did this nearly everyday, doing the 1 press pause 2 press pause 3 press and hold.. this used to work, suddenly it no longer works.
Since this featured was not even featured in our manuals, I doubt I'd find a solution there. Did Lexus zap my car and ability to start it, remote app from phone works fine.
Just bought a 2013 ES300H. My question is there a setting that will keep the trunk unlocked when the car doors are unlocked when I do not have my key fob. I am all the time in the garage and will try to open the trunk and it is locked. My previous car an Acura RL was set liked this.
View 6 RepliesI have a 1992 Aerostar. My power locks wont unlock when the red button is pressed. Locks fine though. The problem exists in both door controls. I replaced both controls and the problem remains. What else could it be that allows me to lock but not to unlock the doors?

I did replace a battery a ways back ... I can't remember if this started happening right after that or not ... I've lived with it for a while now and am annoyed enough at this point to fix it ... View 6 RepliesWhen I went to unlock my trunk hatch last night the remote did not work. I then attempted to unlock the doors....still no joy. I attempted to lock the doors....nothing. I then manually opened the door, fearing my battery was dead (after reading the numerous battery threads) and the put the key in the ignition and it started right up? I then took the key out and locked the door using the reote. I unlocked the door and opened the back hatch with the remote. The only thing I could think was my step mother had unlocked her Dodge Durango that was parked next to mine...and maybe this confused my poor touareg!?

To Unlock: Push the unlock switch once to unlock the driver's door alone. Pushing the switch twice within 3 seconds unlocks all the doors simultaneously ... This double switch operation to unlock all the side doors and back door can be changed to a single switch operation. For details, contact your Toyota dealer.Click to expand...

I'm interested in having all the doors unlock with just a single press of the remote unlock button. How to achieve this setting?
Strange problem. 2006 4 door Camry. Only the drivers door unlocks when using remote or the unlock button on the door panel. The three other door have to unlocked manually. All 4 doors lock with the remote or the button on the drivers door normally. Not sure if this is a door switch problem or a remote problems or how to further isolate this?
View 8 RepliesI've been having an issue with my hatch not opening the first several times I press the unlock button on the remote. For reference it's the car door unlock button I'm pressing, not the hatch one as that one has never done anything when I've pressed it.
I thought it was due to the faulty rear view camera I had installed (the emblem pops out) but I just got a new one installed 2 days ago and it's doing the same thing. It's gotten so bad I've had to go open the drivers door and press unlock from inside there to get it open.
I'm wondering if there is a problem with the latch getting stuck or something. I've never had it not close all the way or anything like that which I hear is more common than the issue I'm having. I will take a pic of the pin in the trunk that I'm talking about.
Remotes suddenly will not lock/unlock doors or open trunk.Background - guy left key in ignition in 'on' position overnight. Also thunderstorm with very near lightning strike during that time.Battery dead in am, though after jump start it was not necessary to reset radio, clock, etc.Neither remote works.Checked the door lock fuse - looks OK, but did not replace it as there were no spares in the spare slots.Where else to look for the problem?

When I hit the open button on the remote control, sometimes the trunk door doesn't fully un-hitche and it remains locked. I can completely close the door again and try again and it still won't open.
View 6 RepliesI did a search and read the manual but I can't seem to figure it out. Is there a way to unlock all of the doors by pushing the unlock button on the key fob once? I see in the manual it can be done I think by turning "remote 2 - press unlock" on in the car settings but it doesn't seem to work. Also am I reading correctly that there are no door unlock sensors on the rear doors? With my LS and my old IS I could touch the rear doors and all of the doors would unlock but this can't be done on the GX?
View 3 RepliesTonight the wife when she got home set the car's alarm off and after she turned it off none of our remote starter fobs will function (lock, unlock, alarm..)
The factory fobs still work fine.
Am I stuck going back to Hyundai to get the remote starter fobs fixed ?
