Jun 7, 2016
I see trunk leak has been an issue for while and Nav has been an issue for IS models.

View 4 RepliesThe navigation screen keeps rebooting - Shows Lexus logo then warning message, waits a few seconds and then repeats. So radio, navigation and all others functions are not working any more....
View 5 RepliesI am the new owner of a 2015 ES350 and I've found that my trunk can be opened using the button under the trunk lip even when I don't have the key fob in my possession (my 2014 Dodge Charger does the same thing). How to prevent anybody without the key fob in their possession from accessing my trunk?
View 14 RepliesPicked up a 2016 GS 350 F Sport without the 1 touch power trunk and the wife is dying to have that trunk.
Is it at all possible to have it installed aftermarket if we didn't buy a GS350 with it?
On the 4th Gen GS 350s, I'm not sure if it had a cover or intended to be left as-is with the key cylinder open?
I never noticed it until I read the manual to learn more and the trunk seems to have an indent groove where something should cover it?
Looking for pictures (parts number) ...
I was installing better lighting in the trunk today and i realized there is no trim on the roof of the trunk - is this normal?
View 14 RepliesPicked up F sports black on black in Dallas Getting some work done like darker tint, front clear bra (Already has rock chip)thinking abt the Fog lamps but looking at the forum seems like it's a pain to do and coming from Bmw 535 want to stay away from pain from sometime. Also it's missing the F badge on the trunk have ordered oem and wanna know what is the exact location on the trunk.
View 7 RepliesI would like to convert my "regular" trunk on my Luxury ES to an automatic, open-all-the-way trunk.
View 12 RepliesJust bought a 2013 ES300H. My question is there a setting that will keep the trunk unlocked when the car doors are unlocked when I do not have my key fob. I am all the time in the garage and will try to open the trunk and it is locked. My previous car an Acura RL was set liked this.
View 6 RepliesMy trunk no longer unlock when I press on my remote, on the button inside the car or the button on the trunk. I have to open it with the key. My doors still works fine. What the problem could be?
View 4 RepliesIf I transport my bicycle in the trunk of my 2014 ES350 with the lid tied down but not closed the alarm sounds continuously. Can I defeat the door open alarm for the trunk lid?
View 5 RepliesI have a 2014 ES300H that I just purchased. After driving around for a while I parked it in the garage. After it had been sitting in the garage for around 6 hours, I hear a motor or fan type noise coming from the trunk area. It lasted for several minutes and then stopped. Is that normal and what the noise might be.
View 2 Repliesi got a screw in my tire with a slow leak. is this covered under warranty or should i have it done locally ?
View 14 RepliesMy radio displays the word "Safe" when the car starts and will not work. I am guessing that the electric system failed at some point and I now have to put a code in the radio to get it to work. My question is: exactly what buttons do I push to do this?
View 1 RepliesToday my Media system rebooted twice while playing a CD...
The first time it happened was right on start of the car. Was stuck at the confirm "you know how to drive" screen then it rebooted and came up fine.
The next time was at the end of my drive went to lower the volume. The volume bar updated, but the actual volume of the system didn't change. The system then rebooted and came back up fine.
About 2 weeks ago I was driving along and my entertainment/control center began to reboot itself about every 2 minutes or so. When it reset itself it would often times be unable to be used meaning that say if I had the climate control up I could not adjust anything with the knob or button and could not control any of the stereo controls along the bottom either. Is this an issue of needing my battery replaced or is this a faulty and malfunctioning infotainment center?
View 7 RepliesHad to leave my Passat in front of Target after spending hours trying to figure out how to get in the trunk from the backseat. I couldn't believe I was dumb enough to place the key in the trunk while putting all the bags in there!
Now we were able to use one of those door airbag tools to fish a wire in and get the driver door open by pulling on the door handle. The door unlock switch did nothing when pressed. Once I got the door open I thought all I had to do was press the trunk release button, but it was not popping the trunk as it always did before.
I went into the backseat to try and pull the seats down, but cannot find anyway to fold down the back seats. My friend said you can only release the latch from inside the trunk, but there has to be a way. I only have the one key and I'm sure it will cost an arm and a leg to get a new one made. How to get those back seats down?
On Tuesday evening we had some torrential downpours in my area. Yesterday when I went to open my trunk after work yesterday to collect my bag from work there was water coming from behind the plastic cover inside the trunk lid. I think I narrowed it down to the two tail lights that are installed in the trunk lid. The gasket on the passenger side looks deformed. Mine is a 2013 SE.
View 2 Replies=I have a Passat TSI 2.0 08 (48.000 Km) and since the begining of the raining season I have noticed that the basis of the lining of the lateral is soaked after rain. In order to investigate it bertter, I have removed the lining and did some tests with water. I came across a problem with the gasket and that hose that drains the water. It looks like the gasket is a little bit loose to press the hose in such a way it insulates its base avoiding water leaking into the trunk. Thus the water rolls outside the hose down to the trunk sides.
View 12 RepliesI have a 2013 XLE V6 and the trunk no longer sits evenly. Where the lights meet at the back of the car the trunk lights stick out about 1/2 inch further than the quarter panel lights and the gap on the right side is much bigger than the left.
I swear I have not had any accidents or issues hauling anything that would have torqued this out of whack.
Happened with both my 2012 and 2014 Elantras. Tried to solve it by removing one remote fob (I carry two complete sets of keys at all times), with only partial success.
Tried another suggested solution: wrapping the remaining fob in a silicone slip-over wrapping to mitigate accidental contact with the release.
Finally resolved it by removing the fuse that allows remote release of the trunk.
The accidental releases were becoming very inconvenient and problematic and I'm willing to manually pop it with the lever near the driver seat.
