View 3 RepliesI have very recently purchased a 2011 GX. Everything seems to be in working order, aside from the "multi-information display" in the gauge cluster. While the electronics options screen functions as described in the manual, pressing the menu button results in a blank screen instead of switching to the customization and/or driver information screens.
View 3 RepliesMy wife on her way home from work called me to say that the MID screen was blank - not working. I asked if she could drive the car, she could, but the energy monitor screen that she has on usually was not coming on. Her concern while driving was that she could not tell how fast she was going.
Fortunately, just a week ago I had installed Scangauge II in her car and had her convert one of existing gauge to MPH. This is a new 2012 Prius IV that is about 2 months old. I'm pretty sure that MID can't be turned off.
Big navigation screen it totally blank. Not able to turn on radio. When you start the car you see Lexus logo, then you get warning text after this text its completely black. Backups camera is working and small screen is working. I looked at Navigation fuse, TV fuse they all look good.
View 2 RepliesMy navigation traffic stopped showing before it would've showed on freeways mainly orange line if slow traffic and red line if heavy traffic or green if no traffic. No lines what so ever noticed this been few weeks its not showing even when I am in heavy traffic, I also checked the option is turned on to show traffic. Is there something wrong that I'm not aware of? Regarding 15 GS
View 8 RepliesIs it possible to turn off the freeway exit info on the nav? This is the info that shows up when you are in a long stretch and it shows POIs in between your current location and the exit that you will take. I do not like that it takes up half of the screen to display info I do not need.
View 9 RepliesI have my home screen set to show audio on the left side, weather upper right and climate lower right. Even though the audio section is the whole left side of the screen, it does not display the artist or song information for radio stations. If I click on audio, though, then in the full audio screen (with presets, etc.), it does show the artist and song information. How to get the info to display on the home screen?
View 9 RepliesI noticed just recently my 15 IS350 F- Sport doesn't have elapsed time in the multi information display. Instead it has 2 different average fuel economy spots under Driver info 1.
I remember seeing it on a 14 IS base, is this something different 15 or F-sport? Is there a setting to get it back?
Only had my 2011 LS about a month now.
Other cars I have seen will allow you to use the remote and close all windows and moon roof. Looking at the LS460 manual it looks like the dealer can program our remote to open the windows and moon roof with the remote. But it does not say anything about closing.
Also a question on the Navigation. Can you change the default screen to the Information screen? Mine always goes straight to the map when I start up. Could not find a place to change it.
2007 GX470
Display screen blank- radio and AC work but cant control on touch screen (its blacked out), tried a few tricks that others had suggested
like hold info and cycle lights 4x
removed positive battery cable and replaced
held menu for a minute
etc etc
Gave up. Went to dealer expecting a unpleasant $$ (buy a new nav screen) type of surprise. nope! service writer pulled it in to the shop and ....
Disconnected the NEGATIVE battery cable. Fixed it right away and didn't charge me a thing (shouldn't have anyway) He said that sometimes the computer just gets scrambled and shuts itself off as a precaution. So if you nav screen is blacked out and unresponsive give that a try.
BackUp Camera just stopped working! I got into my car today and unbeknownst to me, when I went to park my backup cam just completely went blank. After a few few hours and two short trips, I tried again. Same thing, nada on the screen.
I will post video of the issue, I'm going to Lexus in the am to see what they say. I saw some people have had issues with their music amp clipping. It has happened to me too, but only for a few seconds. I'm starting to think its an electrical issue. We'll see
We decided to take a chance on Hyundai (never owned one before) and get an Elantra. Anyway, the car has 2,000 miles on it. My husband was in stop and go traffic today on the interstate and said the car just randomly turned itself off, out of nowhere. He started it back up and had no problems after that, but I am very concerned. It makes me question the reliability of the car to be honest. We've only had it 6 weeks! I am wondering about whether to take it immediately to the dealership or wait to see if it happens again. I don't want my husband going down a hill or something and the car randomly shuts off, so I guess safety is an issue. What would you do?
View 55 RepliesI have a Elantra GT 2014 with about 7000 miles on it. It has been running great, pretty good gas mileage, about 28.5mpg combined. However, I do have a small irratation with it. Sometimes, during my drives, if I stop at a Red light and put my car in neutral gear, I felt the engines does a strong vibration for a few seconds sometimes. It's kinda annoying. Is that a sign of a problem for the engine in the future? or am I just being too picky?
View 9 RepliesI have a 2016 LX570 with 5,000 miles on the odometer. This morning the navigation screen is blank and the radio does not work. Took the truck to the dealer, they said Lexus is aware of the problem but does not have a solution. They will call me back when Lexus figures out what is wrong. No offer to give me a loner with a functional navigation unit.
View 3 RepliesRecently, i just bought an multi-information display panel (with touch screen support) to integrate into my RX330 which is a non touch screen NAV display panel.
The 2nd hand multi-information display panel is from a 2004 RX330 and what are the socket behind the display panel meant for.
what is the 4 socket connectors as indicated in the red circle in the image should be connected to?
I just got a 2009 570 with rear entertainment, It opens and closes on command when prompted from the front screen and when i use the remote control, it also tilts at various angles but that's all I get from it. it is completely blank. No display whatsoever just tilts, opens and closes. I have a DVD loaded in front. Its a Mark Levinson system the DVD plays fine on the dash screen when I put the parking brakes on but the rear screen remains blank I would call it dead if not for the fact that it opens and closes.
View 1 RepliesTwo random times I put the car in reverse and the back up camera showed a blank black screen. I have to turn the car off and restart It for it to work.
View 6 RepliesChanged the battery in my 2003 GX 470 today and all hell has broken loose. I have been able to reset my windows and moon roof but my Nav has a mind of its own.
MAP, DEST and MENU screens are all blank. However CLIMATE, AUDIO, DISPLAY works perfectly.
Is it possible to get real time traffic on the RX NAV without Satellite radio? My BMW (2008) gets traffic free from terrestrial radio. I think clear channel makes it available (not positive). Is there a setting I am missing or is the Lexus restricted to XM only?
I have a 2013 RX350.
The BMW does not have HD radio or satellite radio receivers just good old AM FM.
I have all functions turned on inside menu options. I have Sirius xm subscription and they told me it's not a service they provide for Lexus. So I'm thinking its a service from Lexus, is this true ?
View 14 RepliesAfter 4k miles, I'm beginning to really like the NAV in my 450h. The lockout in motion is a pain, but the traffic alert and detour routing is wonderful. Only yesterday it sent me around a wreck on the bridge in Cincinnati, and I really enjoyed watching the masses stewing as I crossed the Ohio River on an adjacent bridge and popped up on the first exit after the traffic jam.
Making peace with the NAV seems to be mostly a matter of getting beyond the Garmin.
Anyway, now I like the Lexus NAV.
