As my es350 2013 makes too much noise in pick up time seems traction control is not working.

View 11 RepliesSo I've noticed that when I am stopped and press the brake pedal all the way the traction control light comes on.
View 4 RepliesI'm just under 1,000 miles on my 2015 GS350 F Sport RWD and starting to get on it a bit more now that I feel it's broken in. Tonight I put it Sport + mode and got on it from a 1st gear roll. The traction control light came on and I shifted to second and it still spun a bit more, after shifting to third and fourth I down shifted because I was turning into the neighborhood. Once I down shifted a bit more I got a few quick beeps. My wife and I were like what was that? Was it a warning that it's cold out or that I lost traction or something? When I downshifted it revved up to around 4K rpm but nothing crazy. Just wondering what these beeps were? Seem to come from the cluster area behind the steering wheel. Temps were around 38 degrees at the time.
View 2 Replies2015 AWD. How do you fully turn off the traction control?
Seems like i can press the button and it comes back in a minute. I tried holding it down.
Also, the seat belt chime. I take off my belt once I get in a parking lot, and the chime is annoying as hell.
My college son's 2014 Charger V6 has developed three issues since he purchased it used in late May. The cruise control has stopped working and the anti lock brake and traction control lights are constantly on. Any possible cause?
View 15 RepliesI have just purchased a 2013 Passat, SEL Premium. In my GTI, I could disable traction control with the "ESR off" button. I do not see anything like that on the display. Is this a menu function somewhere? While I do not need it all the time, when we do get deep snow, the traction control needs to be disabled.
View 2 Replies2013 Prius is there any way to disable the traction control. Trying the push start button 2 times and push gas pedal 2 times etc. method wont work on this year.
View 6 RepliesWhile driving home from work today all my control functions stops working. All the steering wheel buttons, radio functions, and the center display screen all froze up. It wasn't until I restarted to car for everything to work again. What all that components have in common?
View 10 Repliesok.. I have an 05 1.8t. I just got a Forge Diverter Valve to replace the stock one. Changing out the Valve was pretty easy however after i was all done I started the car up and my Traction Control is not working. I just got the car from a VW Dealership, its not dogged out or anything. Could I have unhooked or moved something without knowing it? or is it just a coincidence that this popped up at the same time?
View 2 Replies2012 Golf R ; only mod is APR software with launch control and no lift shift. When i shift hard into second power is cut like traction control is being activated. To be clear the instrument cluster indicates ASR is off. I have two codes that pop up in VCDS (no check engine light) these codes have popped up at least twice now. They are below.
005634 - Power Supply Terminal 30
P1602 - 002 - Voltage too Low - Intermittent
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 00100010
Fault Priority: 2

So yesterday we did a lot of work on my car. We accidentally pulled one of the ABS sensor wires out of place. I wasn't too surprised when the light was on, also with the traction control light on. (permanently) Going around a few turns this morning, I noticed a bit of under steer, which I thought was due to breaking in the new tires. But now that I think about it more, I don't believe my haldex is engaging at ALL! If I just replace or get the wire back in correctly (we tried, but may be in wrong...) will the haldex re-engage?
I want to get it scanned but I just started spring break and am flying back home to Minnesota on Monday. A friend (experience VW owner) will be holding her til then. I've searched and some people think the brake switch can cause the ABS light to come on with the CEL. Couldn't find anything about the Traction control light always on with the ABS light. My dash is just getting more and more lit up... The airbag fault light is because of the selt buckle resistance and the brake pad light is from the new porterfield's I put on... (i put ECS' brake loop on too but not working-do I need to get it cleared?)
I have 2002 Ford Taurus SES. Currently the brake light is on and the ABS and traction control are not working. The brakes have been checked and are ok and it has been hooked up to a code reader and no codes come up. Occasionally the light will go off and the abs and traction control work for awhile.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2014 IS 350 F Sport AWD. Can the traction control be truely turned off? You can push the Trac-off button but at 32 mph it is disabled and traction control is back in the game. The manual is of no dice and I've looked at numerous forums with no luck.
View 14 RepliesI've noticed when driving our 06 GX this winter, that after the traction control engages on ice for example, it leaves the car with about 20% of it's normal power when you hit the gas, like it acts as a fuel shut off or something. It's been potentially dangerous if you aren't ready for it.
We have a had a lot of ice in upper Illinois this winter and I've been blind sided by what happens a few times. The worst is trying to make a left hand turn from an icy street. A lot of our side streets don't get the attention from salt trucks like the main roads do. For example, when making a turn off of an Icy side street, onto a street that has no ice. Wheels slip a bit initially, you hear the Trac kick in, then gimpy mode. After making it off the ice, the car has almost no power to accelerate, even after it's on dry pavement for as long as 10 second or so. Really dangerous when turning into a busy highway. The car just won't go. Then all of a sudden, boom and it's off again like normal. I would think that things should go back to normal on dry pavement pretty quick but the delay is pretty long.
Is this normal? Is there any way to disable the traction control in this situation? It's like the truck shuts the fuel off ( I know some Trac systems work this way). I'm definitely not one that hammers on the gas either, as soon as the tires sense a little slip it seems to go into this gimpy mode. Otherwise, everything else functions as normal.
Is there anyway to turn off the traction control on my car? I want to have some fun in the snow, but the car is to damn smart ..
It will only keep me going straight. 2009 AWD LS460 ..
My LS460 is in the shop for the valve spring recall. When I dropped off the car they gave me a 2011 RX350. That evening I went out to dinner with my wife, daughter, mother in law, and father in law. While heading to dinner we had to stop hard at a red light. The strange thing is when the RX came to a complete stop the traction control light came on for about 10 seconds. During this time when I took my foot off of the brake, the car wouldn't move. I don't know why it did that.
View 10 RepliesI need to troubleshoot a problem with the ABS & Traction control lights on a 2006 Mountaineer Premium with 126,000 miles. During the year that I have owned the vehicle this problem has occurred every time it is driven on a long trip. The previous owner never drove on longer trips so has no experience with this problem.
When you drive the vehicle around town and on shorter trips (less than an hour) there are no indications of problems. The ABS and Traction control lights come on as part of the start-up check cycle and go off. The ABS and Traction control work in low traction conditions and the lights function correctly when either one is activated.
The unusual behavior occurs on trips longer than an hour. Typically after about 1 1/2 hours at highway speed both the ABS and Traction control lights come on as well as the Wrench symbol in the message panel. It you hit "Reset" the Wrench symbol goes away but the ABS and Traction control lights stay on. The brakes work normally. I do not know if the ABS and Traction Control will work. I have never been in a low traction condition when the lights are on.
Both lights stay on until you stop the vehicle and turn off the ignition. When you restart the vehicle the ABS light is on but not the Traction Control light. When you start to drive the vehicle the ABS light goes out immediately.
After about 1/2 hour of driving both lights come on and the Wrench symbol displays in the message panel. Whenever you stop the vehicle and restart during the trip the cycle repeats. The day after you finish the long trip everything is normal for driving around town and on short trips.
2014 es350 with a bit over 5000 miles, today suddenly my malfunction indicator lamp and TRAC OFF lights both came on at once... What the causes may be since I can't get to the dealer until Monday. And is it still safe to drive the car???
View 11 RepliesI've been driving a 2014 base model GX for a little over year now. I noticed that when the vehicle is in drive and is stopped at a stop sign/light on a steep incline (i.e. front of vehicle is at significantly higher than rear), when accelerating away from the stop, the traction control system (?) will beep and make some noise for a second or two if the car rolls backward from the stop when the brake is released.
View 4 RepliesRX350 AWD 2007 ...
I recently starting hearing a beeping noise coming from the inside of my car and then i noticed the traction control symbol on my dash. I looked up the symbol in my manual and found it to be the traction control. However, I am not sliding when this is happening. I am just going around a corner, or in 1 case just merging on the highway. I have had this car for several years and it didn't operate this way, so something is definitely wrong.
One additional piece of information - My rack and pinion steering just got replaced in the last couple weeks. However, I called that shop and they told me the two are not related. I'm not sure, so I just thought I would add that piece of information in case it matters.
Evertime I turn left the brake light, traction control and stability control lights come on and the car starts dinging. Mechanic says it could be front wheel bearings because they are tied to the ABS system??? But I have been seeing alot about wheel speed sensors?
Second, everytime I brake suddenly, a cloud of smoke comes from the front end and there is a burning oil smell. The oil is fine and no leaks. Again mechanic says it could be a cracked CV boot throwing grease?
Lastly everytime I put in reverse or when I lightly put pressure on the brakes when driving I get this noise like a humming (errrrrrr) noise. Its not the grinding/squealing noise you would get when brake pads needs replaced. I only have 60k miles on this.
