View 1 RepliesWhen turning a corner the back end of the car hopes over. 2012 Elantra, 6000 km.
View 21 RepliesOur 2013 RX350 makes an annoying thunking noise, coming somewhere from the rear underside of the car, every time you come to a complete s stop, e.g. at a traffic light. I had a test drive with a mechanic from our Lexus dealership, and he told me that every 2013 RX350 he ever drove made that noise. Is that true?
View 14 RepliesI have an 08 RAV4 that has an issue when turning left and right and sometimes when taking off from a rolling stop. It seems that the body and engine want to move but the tires do not. I have taken the vehicle to 4 mechanics including dealership and everyone says the transmission is fine, axles and joints are supposed to be fine as well as drive train. I currently have about 25000 miles left on a warranty and don't want to lose the use of the warranty.
View 9 RepliesI just purchased a 2013 ES 350, and I love the car!
Whenever I startup the car (engine hot or cold) and put it in drive or reverse, and lightly step on the gas to get the car moving, there is a weird stutter. Sort of like when your driving stick in the same scenario, but you let out the clutch a bit to fast and the engine wants to bog out, but your able to hit the gas just a bit more to keep it from stalling. If this were a manual transmission, I would disregard as we all know that can be a normal characteristic of manual transmission.
This being an automatic, I am worried that something could be off with the tranny or the engine.
Is there a simple, inexpensive, right now fix to stop the rubbing on the rear tires? I'm running 265/30/22 tires and get tire scraping on dips and some turns with a half tank of gas and two small passengers.
View 14 RepliesI recently had my 2013 Lexus RX 350 15,000 mile service which included tire rotation and balance. The service was performed at the dealership where I bought the car. Less than two weeks later, both tires on the left side went COMPLETELY flat. The front tire so flat that it was actually coming off the rim when I stopped the car because it was driving funny. The distance was out of my garage and down the driveway. The serviceman initially said it was a slit on the outer edge of the tire. Now they are saying it was a pinhole in both tires. Is it possible something could have gone wrong during the servicing to cause the tires on my brand new car to go flat?
View 18 RepliesES300h, 17" rims, Dunlop SP Sports, and I'm getting a lumpy and uncomfortable ride first thing in the morning. Outside temps are 10C or lower and tire pressure is 210 kPa or 30 psi, although the tires warm up to 230 kPa or 33 psi after a few minutes.
Is it normal for all season tires to feel lumpy when cold? I don't want to pump it up higher because the tires would probably hit 36 psi when warm.
I have been having issues with the tires rubbing even on a slight dip on the freeway specially when running at about 70 mph . I have a 20x9 front offset 32 tires 245/35/20 and 20x10 rear offset 35 tires 275/30/20. I also installed tanabe nf210 springs. Is it bec of the offset? What can I do to get rid of it?
View 14 RepliesI was driving my 2004 VW Phaeton V8 (USDM) and stopped at a corner in the neighborhood. I then started going around the corner, when the steering just locked up for no reason and the battery light came on. I then shut down the engine and restarted it, making everything ok. What happened?!?
View 4 RepliesOften as I slow down and start turning a corner, mostly to the right, my 1998 Lincoln Town Car stalls. I have to pull off to the side of the road, put it in park and then restart it, which it does every time.
View 2 RepliesHaving trouble with the EV system? Its suppose to shut down at 25 MPH. Mine on a regular bases shuts down at 10 MPH. Also shuts down when turning corners. Getting the run around with the Toyota Dealer.
View 7 RepliesI'd been suspecting that the fuel pump on the car was going bad recently, and yesterday when turning a corner the engine shut off and it won't start back up. At first it would turn over a couple times, but now there's nothing at all. I've checked the timing belt, which is good, and I'm almost positive that there's no fuel getting to the engine. The problem is that I can't figure out where the fuel pump / relay is located.
View 1 RepliesMy backup camera stopped turning on when I put the car in reverse. Why? I'm thinking it might be a fuse issue, but I can seem to figure out which fuse from the information in the manual.
View 9 RepliesMy car stall in the cold weather especially whenever I let up on the gas like when I am going around a corner or come to a stop.
View 5 RepliesAs the topic says, I get a slight stutter in the car when I'm say parking into a parking spot. As I get closer to 0 mph i feel the car kinda jerk a little bit.
It's done this since we bought it off a used car lot, and I figured it was the tranny fluid being burned or low. I did a drain/fill twice over the last weekend, and noticed while it has worked forthe issue, it's not fully rectified.
I also notice that 60-80% of the time when LIGHTLY accelerating, going from 1st to 2nd is kinda rough. If i floor it, it's actually pretty smooth.
It doesn't feel like anything "BAD" is happening - no grinding, doesn't feel like slippage...
To start out with, Leaky rear window.
It is definitely a leak around my back window, passenger corner. I have personally watched water run in and not run out the back, but in my cab. My Issue is that I cannot find any info as to how to lower my back seats to access the screws required to remove the window.
My truck is a 2011 XLT Supercrew/Cab, whichever is 2 door. Full backrest and 60/40 seat split. below is a picture of my seat and behind the headrests where people say to dig around for a "pin" to pull up and then lower the seat, but it appears I don't have that option.

So I recently traded in my '09 GTI for a 2012...and noticed that the same door 'creaking/rattling' sound is on the new one as was on the older model. This happens if I am turning a corner, entering a parking lot, etc. Not a huge deal, but annoying nonetheless.
View 5 RepliesIt's kind of weird, when I turn into a corner that is packed with snow - my traction control light kicks on like it does, but it feels like the brakes are being applied.
View 3 RepliesI have noticed that if I push gas pedal while turning the corner, especially if starting to go uphill, there is significant vibration felt in the gas pedal. It happens every time, as I use the same road each day, for 6 months now. I recently had a rental prius for a weeks, and had the same experience, although not as pronounced as my car.
View 9 Replies2013 ES350 silver for my wife - bought 3 months ago and drove 600 miles.
About one month ago, I could hear a humming sound at the back of the car (somewhere around backseat or in the trunk). At that time, car was parked in the garage. This sound is similar to having several honey bee in that area and humming at the same time. The sound disappeared by itself after several hours.
Yesterday, it happened again. We parked the car in the garage around 4pm and did not hear this sound at that time. At around 10pm, when I went to garage to get some tools, I heard this humming sound again. This morning, as soon as I woke up, I checked the car and the sound is gone.
I am not sure if there are any other reports of similar issue for 2013 ES350, or maybe this issue is just for my particular car? And this humming sound is not always there, so I am not sure how to repeat it in the repair department. Maybe I need to bring it to delaership and just let service technician take a look.
