So My 16 ES starts remotely but shuts off every time I open the doors or unlock the doors with the key fob?
So I have to re-start it every time I get in? Whats the point? I can maybe see the heater for winter or ac for summer but my car is garaged.
I have a problem with one of my key fobs. It does not lock/unlock the doors or open the hatch but it still starts the car. The red LED light flashes for an extended period of time too. The other Key Fob is working fine.

Purchased new fob, did the chicken dance, fob will now start car... but will not open/lock doors remotely. Took battery from working fob and put in new fob, no difference. New fob light blinks like the old working one when buttons are pressed. I do not have the "fob" button under the steering column, just a tire pressure set button there. In another thread someone wrote that with the new fob in the slot, start the car, and open and close the door, and function the locks to set new fob to be able to operated the locks... no luck.
View 4 RepliesJust bought a 2013 ES300H. My question is there a setting that will keep the trunk unlocked when the car doors are unlocked when I do not have my key fob. I am all the time in the garage and will try to open the trunk and it is locked. My previous car an Acura RL was set liked this.
View 6 RepliesI've looked in the owner's manual, but only find that they exist, no instructions on turning them on. I know I can unlock the doors with the key fob at night and the lights will come on, including the puddle lights on the bottoms of the rear view mirrors. If I touch the door handles instead of using the key fob (my preferred method of unlocking the vehicle), the doors unlock, but the puddle lights do not come on.
I would also like to be able to turn them on when I am getting ready to exit the car, especially so the wife does not step in a puddle.
I did a search and read the manual but I can't seem to figure it out. Is there a way to unlock all of the doors by pushing the unlock button on the key fob once? I see in the manual it can be done I think by turning "remote 2 - press unlock" on in the car settings but it doesn't seem to work. Also am I reading correctly that there are no door unlock sensors on the rear doors? With my LS and my old IS I could touch the rear doors and all of the doors would unlock but this can't be done on the GX?
View 3 RepliesPrius sat in my garage for about a month without moving went to start it up had 0 power, the unlock button on the keys wouldn't even open the doors. So I tried to jump start the car which would kind of work. The car would turn on for a few secs maybe 5 sec then turn right back off. So had the battery tested and came back as bad battery.
View 13 RepliesWhen I open the doors on my touareg, the rear hatch does not unlock. When I try to program it as an option to open the rear hatch when I unlock the doors, it works for awhile. But, it always goes back to not opening. I recall a few months ago a similar question or post about a solution, like reprogramming something else first or at the same time.

View 8 RepliesI have a 1997 Astro van and recently I shut the back doors (two door version) and now they will not open/unlock. I tried the power locks as well as the key. I read where you can take off the speaker cover in the door and reach thru and unlock/release from there. That did not work either. Not sure WHY Chevy decided not to put interior release handles. Any trick to opening the doors so I can see what the problem is?

When I use my key to unlock the car door, I can turn the key and get all the dash lights but I don't hear a sound.
When I use the remote unlock, and try the same thing, my car starts. Is this a problem with the security system?
Basically what the title says, my brothers 2002 accent front doors won't open from the inside when you pull on the handle, no matter how many times, both sides before it was just the rear doors doing this, and I can't seem to find the child safety switch, but now the same thing is happening on the front doors, and since everything is electric this is pretty bad if the electrical system dies and you have to get out of the car, what the heck is going on?

Second locking question. I can't seem to unlock my hatch while the car is running. So if I go to the airport to pick someone up, I have to turn the car off to get the hatch to unlock.
My son used my Santa Fe this afternoon, and when he came home the fob would not lock or unlock doors. Additionally, the door lock button in the car will not work-I had to manually lock all the doors. Car starts. Am I missing something?

These frigid WI temps are horrible. I did end up washing my car last weekend because it was full of salt. This morning I pressed the lock on my remote 2 times, nothing happened. Normally the horn sounds off once and the lights flash. I seen the lights flash, but there was no sound coming from the horn..........frozen locks? I came home after work and tried it again. Works fine now.

Neither the proximity key near the car and pressing the liftgate release, nor hitting the fob's "trunk open" button, NOR hitting the "unlock" button on the inside door panel will unlock the liftgate! If I hit the fob or press the outside release, the parking lights flash twice, but that's IT! No "unlock" and I can't open the lift gate. (I can't see them if I hit the inside the cabin button). All other locks work as they are supposed to.
View 3 RepliesI have had my TREG for 5 weeks now. It has 650 miles on it. I left it over the weekend and it was dead this morning. The key didn't even unlock the door remotely. This vehicle has no NAV and is 2006. I have read other posts, but they all seem to be for 2008. it is going to to the dealer this afternoon.
