Jan 1, 2013
Passenger seat rattles when not occupied, the upper section seems to shake with every bump and produces a dull rattle.

View 14 RepliesFirst trip with the new '14ES and the wife noticed the passenger seat heater seemed to stop working after a while. Checked the on-line owners manual and no mention of a timer there (just the steering wheel timer). Searching the ES forum did not bring up the answer either but some other models apparently have seat timers.
View 6 RepliesThe plastic piece that forms around the passenger seat, where the level is to adjust the seat back, has broken. It looks as though the area where the screws are that hold this piece in are not very sturdy. I have only had this vehicle for 10 months now and I am hoping that this is something that is covered by warranty.
View 6 Replies135 plus pound passenger with seat belt on. Was intermittent on/off with passenger but now seems always off (off light 'on' ) meaning the passenger airbag is disabled.
I know the es350 was so bad like this that there was a threat of class action. I've read the weight sensor is in the passenger seat rail and you can also do a calibration with a scan tool.
I just purchased a new 2013 Camry SE and I was wondering if it's possible to lower the passenger seat (no power).
My boyfriend and I are both pretty tall. I've got the driver's seat lowered as far as it will go, but the passenger seat seems really high now...
My '13 GLS has recently developed a rattle in the passenger seat. I know that's what it is, because if someone is sitting in the seat, or I press against the seatback, the rattle stops.
I'm sure this is being magnified by the absolutely horrible roads left behind by the "winter wonderland" we've had, but I'm not sure I can continue to drive 46 miles twice a day without thinking about running the car into a telephone pole.
The freeways and roads in general around where I live are garbage, rough with a lot of potholes.
Having issues with headliner or seat belt mounts on the B pillar vibrating? Or the passenger seat rattling?
Most of mine happens when I'm on the freeway in 6th gear around 65-70mph (where I usually sit) or when the RPMs are between 2700-3k
The headliner is particularly bad in various spots near the front sun visors.
The seat belt mounts vibrate at random times. I've tried clicking it into different positions to see if that work.
My passenger seat will rattle after going over bumps at low speed. If I stop the car and move the seat up or back one click it seems to go away, it's like it's being shaken loose.
Have a 2010 GX 460 with dual dvds in the head rests. They are OEM not aftermarket. Both worked great until I had the car detailed a few days ago. Now the one behind the driver's seat works but the one behind the passenger seat does not. The screen changes from a dark color to a slightly lighter color but never gets a picture.
View 13 RepliesI drive a GS450h. Now I am experiencing some rattles that irritates. It is a "tock" sound that comes from around the driver seat. It is impossible for me to isolate, but it sounds like its from either of these locations:
- Driversdoor
- Roof
- A pillar driver side
- Dashboard
It doesn't matter where if the road is bumpy or not, actually it seems to be more present on smooth roads. I removed the covers of the door and looked for anything that moved in there, but it all seemed ok. How can I check for the rest? Is there a DIY for removing the roof and A-style panels/cover?
My new-to-me 2013 LS has a squeaking driver's seat... it's especially evident if the car's been parked for a week.
When I purchased the car it had this problem, the dealership "took care of it", but it came back a month later... when I lean back in the seat it squeaks annoyingly...
I purchased my car second hand. I don't know if the previous owner was a big, sweaty dude who didn't take showers but....after driving in my car for certain periods, I get a funky body odor from the seat.
I sprayed vinegar/water onto the seat, let it stay and wiped up. I wonder if there's bacteria forming on the seat heat/cooling source?
Just got my RX330: passenger heated seat button lights up, but no heat. Any clues where to look to trouble shoot this seat??
View 2 RepliesHad this issue when the car is driven over rough roads. The rattle is suppressed if I lean over and hold the seat.
View 4 RepliesIs there a way to disable the audible portion of the seat belt warning?
View 5 RepliesThe car is 3 months old, and I looked over the other day to see a bluish tint on the edge closest to the door of the front passenger seat. When I bought the car the finance lady warned me that blue jeans could leach into the seats but I thought she was just trying to scare me into buying a coating for the seats, which I didn't buy. I haven't tried to clean it yet.
View 6 RepliesI need to get my front driver seat and passenger seat replaced because they look so beaten down. The cushion is almost gone and looks very wrinkly.
I really need to come up with the excuse because i doubt they will let me change it if i tell them that its getting wrinkly and the cushion is gone.
The passenger seat belts on my 2011 do not 'give' a little. When someone shifts in their seat, the belt tightens up (allowing little to no movement)...almost to the point of being uncomfortable. Is this normal/expected behavior? Or do I need to have them looked at?
View 1 RepliesI have noticed that the passenger seat has a vibration that can not be felt anywhere else in the truck. You can actually see/feel it from the drivers seat when no one is sitting in it. However, you can not feel this vibration through the steering wheel, gas peddle, door panels, etc. It increases with speed with is present at low and high speeds. My thought is that perhaps the seat is loose? When sitting in it it feels like the back right wheel is out of balance but I know it isn't (recent road force balance and feeling in all other seats confirms this). Could it be I just need to tighten the seat/tracks?
View 4 RepliesI picked up our ("our" means my wifes) GX last Friday. I'm a sports car and sports sedan guy. But I love buying vehicles, and I a huge car nut. It's a heck of a nice Luxury SUV with a lot of nice features.
One question so far. The web site specifically says the passenger seat position can be saved to the memory, but for the life of me I don't see how. Can it?
The back of my passenger seat rattles, resonating when going over bumps (and not weighted with a passenger). I've lifted my back on the driver's seat and it doesn't seem to rattle over the same bumps. How to tighten it up?
View 4 RepliesMy passenger chair seat won't fold back? Passengers can't get in the back seat. The manual (pull up) lever is jammed?
