I have 2013 es350. As I am hearing voice from front tire in the pickup time seems traction control system is not working. Also no difference between trc on and off in both case,you will hear the voice which means the system can not control tire spinning.
View 12 RepliesI have a squeaking noise coming from my rear driver side tire. I changed my brake pads and one was missing. All it had on there is what looks like a shim. ( pics below )
After finishing the job I drove my car and the noise continues. It's mainly when I'm in reverse. Has any one else had this problem? My car is at 50k miles.
Have a noise coming from the front tire, kind of sounds like the tire has a high spot or something. You can't feel anything but you can just hear like a whoop noise like one part of the tire has a sticky spot it keeps going over. Hope that makes sense. Is it the tire that needs to be replaced because of the uneven wear that's causing this noise or suspension?
View 14 RepliesThe last couple of days I've noticed a metal clinking noise coming from the right front wheel area when I go over bumps. The best way I can describe it is what it sounds like when there's a loose washer and nut on a bolt. A metal on metal sort of thing. Tonight I was able to replicate the sound I heard by pounding on the tire and got it on video and posted it below. Watch in HD to hear the sound I'm referencing clearly.

1. Just had spacers installed a few days ago

I have an appointment with Lexus tomorrow morning to have the brake clicking fixed under the TSB and several other issues addressed. Mostly rattles...
I've been having a lot of noise coming from the front left tire, and I finally had it diagnosed as a bad wheel bearing today.
I noticed that the front wheel bearings are sold individually while the rear wheel bearings are sold as hub assemblies. Is there a certain way that the front wheel bearings have to be removed and pressed on? I'm trying to see if this is a DIY repair.
Any 1 have their tire that have uneven tire wear? Mines is Dunlop and my front right tire has uneven wear on the outer thread. All other tire don't have uneven wear. I'm getting new tire for all 4 rims and check my alignment. My gs is a f sport rwd.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2013 GS350 thats lowered on Tanabe Springs and 20s. It looks nice but the only problem i have is rubbing against the plastic (that what it sounds like) lining in the fender well. This only happens when I make a quick left turn or U turn. The tire size is 245/35/20.
View 5 RepliesI have 2012 Tiguan, I just did a tire rotation as part of my 10k oil change. Afterward I started to hear a weird noise from front tires, especially when I was driving slow on smooth roads, I can hear tires make a noise every spin. The noise speed up with the tire speed. I do the oil change and tire rotation every 3k for my previous car, never had any problem.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2002 Nissan Xterra SE (Silver). I have just a couple miles over 200K on her too! recently, I have had a chirping noise coming from the front left tire. It chirps upon rotating, as well as when i turn the wheel to the left. I only hear the chirp at slower speeds. Also, the breaks have been starting to screech, not a lot, but occasionally. Do I have bad ball bearings? Need new brakes? Both? Or is there a chance a rock is stuck up in there? The chirp goes away when it's wet outside, like after a rain!
View 3 RepliesI have a 06' Ranger 2WD with General Grabber tires that have about 30,000 miles on them and still show significant tread remaining.
Within the last 2 months, I have experienced excessive tire noise - like I am driving a Humvee or something. Also, when I turned right or left the tires would make even MORE noise - it seemed to be coming from the right front tire mostly. 2 weeks ago I had the tires rotated and the sound seems to have reduced while turning but I still have the howling Humvee noise while driving down the road. There is no vibration coming from the wheel, so I don't think it's a balancing issue. Could it be the bearings?
I also checked the PSI all around and one tire does have a slow leak but I try to keep to topped off.
I recently had new front oem rotors and pads installed on my 13 GS F Sport rwd and after a few hours of driving the loud squeal coming from the front was very embarrassing. I'm ready to pull whatever hairs on my head I have left. When I'm coming to a stop I hear it. If I'm braking lightly I hear it. If I reverse I hear it. I had the same problem prior to replacing the rotors and pads and felt that it was being caused by not having my rotors resurfaced prior to installing the last set of pads. Now, I have new everything and I have the same problem. I've already spent so much on the front brakes and I can't stand having an expensive car that sounds like a cheap car.
View 14 RepliesAnother 5k miles and the maintenance required light has come on. The 300h wants its tires rotated. I don't want to take it into the dealer just for that. Which tire goes where in a Lexus rotation? Also how to make sure the tire monitoring system knows the tire location has changed? I can move the tires around myself but don't know how to reset the tire monitoring system to the new tire location.

View 6 RepliesThe last issue I have to tackle with the GS450h is a knocking sound coming from what seems the front wheels and mostly the right wheel. This is when driving over a ditch or uneven road like a cobblestone road.
This issue was present before the RSR down sus springs were installed (i.e. in factory setup) but has since gotten more obvious, probably due to the more rigid suspension. Initially I thought it may have been the brake pads, however when braking harder (beyond regenerative braking system) it remains present. So I think the brakes can be ruled out.
The suspension and wheel setup have been checked by the Lexus dealer three times now and by a suspension specialist. None of them could find a thing wrong with it. What it may be?
I recently started getting a light tapping noise coming from the front passenger side tire wheel area. It almost sound like a nail stuck in the tire, but lighter in sound and there is nothing stuck in the tire........
Here's the kicker: It only happens when I turn LEFT!!!! I checked and there is nothing obvious that sticks out to touch the tire when it turns...
I have had a Clicking noise on my 2000 x 4x4 since 6 months coming from the front right side tire noticeable over rough roads or over bumps and I went on a journey starting with ford dealer to almost all well recognized service centers and every body says your front suspension is ok and no one seems to know where it is coming from. I thought it was my hub bearing since it fails almost every year but when I was changing the bearing, I noticed a big Excessive play in axle.

Also I noticed oil mixed with grease the grease is prawny with a reddish sort of color or that is some thing else.

Any way after replacing the hub Bearing with a used one and butting every thing together I went on a test drive. Noticed that the vehicle drive line is not right the car seems to wonder and the noise still there so i didn't get far i came right back and park my x then a funny burned oil smell was present.
Is it some thing i did wrong or is it bad situation gone worst ?

2011 Hyundai Elantra, 42k miles. The car is my girlfriends which I drive once every few weeks. Yesterday I noticed a rumbling noise coming from the right front tire area. The noise only comes about when turning a fairly sharp left while above 20 mph. Taking a left onto a side street etc doesn't cause any noise, but taking one while going through a big intersection etc. Where the speed is up a little bit causes the noise. The tires are original, obviously not new, but they still have a decent amount of tread left on them, they're Continental Pro Contacts.
Tire, ball-joint, brake pad rubbings? I'm going to take it to get looked at tomorrow, I did spray the area with a hose in case there was something caught in there, but that didn't change anything. The tire looks fine, no abnormal wear or bulges, the car is in alignment and makes no other noise except in the circumstance noted.
Take a look at the video I recorded with my phone and you can hear a thumping or clunking noise coming from the rear driver side tire. The phone was held upside down sorry!. I'm thinking it's either the brake pads or wheel bearing?
Please try to ignore the wind noises. = Just want some idea so when I take it to a mechanic it would be easier to identify the problem. [URL] ....
I drive a 2013 4 door gti. Car has 4k miles. Just last weekend myself and my buddies threw my coils in. FK Silverline X plus'. I am not sure on the measurement from fender to ground but I am a finger gap in the front, and fingertips in the rear. After throwing my coils in on saturday, I had an alignment and the rear camber adjusted. Just today, sunday, while driving home I heard a weird clunking/knocking noise. Previously I drove a mk4 and I know the sound of sway bar on axle and this is not the sound. Its coming from the passenger side front.. and I can sort of feel it through my clutch and brake. After pulling the car over I checked everything I could. wheels are all tight, struts seem fine. The noise occurs continuously even on smooth roads. The knocking/popping is pretty loud and can be heard in cabin. My buddy had mentioned the guys the aligned my car might have forgot to tighten something so I am heading back to the shop first thing in the morning.
