Lexus ES 2013+ :: Nav Map Suddenly Turned Black And White - Radio Sound With Echo

Haven't driven the 2013 ES 350 very much yet but my Nav map has suddenly turned to black and white instead of the initial multiple colors, even during the day. What happened ... can't seem to find on the system how to revert back without going thru 900+ page book. Also, the map is showing some roads/hwys. with tiny circles (attached to each other) instead of the previous thick lines?
Radio, don't have the XM service but when listening to std. issue radio, sometimes and lasting maybe for 8-10 seconds or so, the radio suddenly sounds very "echoey" and more emphasized, it seems, from the back speakers. Then it reverts back to "normal" - only to do it again within the same 20 min. drive-time.

Just had my 2015 ES350 for a week. Today when I was driving on the highway, all the sudden the audio display screen (no navigation) was turned off by itself, but I still hear the sounds from the speakers. all the buttons were not working. after few minutes, the display system seems reboot itself, then it was frozen at start screen with only shows the Lexus logo on it. until I pulled over and restarted the car, it was back to normal.

i have a 03 GX with 53000 plus miles on it. four days ago, i turn on the radio and there's no sound coming out of it. i tried also the tape player and the disc and it is the same thing. i can see from the nav screen that the radio is working for i can change the station and same thing with regards to the changer i can change the any of the six cd's on it. yesterday on my way home i turn on the radio and the sound is back. today it is out again.

On the drive home today I noticed a new sound on my 14 300h. On quiet subdivision streets, every time I press the brakes I hear a 'click', almost like a relay engaging, before the brakes start slowing down the car. I think it may be a relay but I never noticed this before. The sound is definitely from inside the engine compartment. Noticed this sound on 300h? It is very faint but repeatable with the brakes. I only hear it with the radio off.

I never noticed that the back up camera screen is purely black and white? or is there a setting somewhere to have the screen displayed in full color?

Right now it doesn't chance background shade when at night time, it always stays white.
How to change so that it automatically changes to black when in night time ?

My monsoon radio is beeping on my 2011.5 VW Passat. As soon as I turn the radio on the is a beeping sound. About 1 beep/second. Only beeps when radio is on. This is heard over the radio stations (ie. I can still hear the radio "behind" the beeping sound). This will start when I try to put a FM station in memory, turn the volume all the way down or when the battery dies. The radio is otherwise functioning normally (no SAFE being displayed). The beeping usually eventually goes away after several days to a week.

I have a problem with my dash on a 13 ES. There was a shiny spot in the middle of the dash, so I took some Dawn dish washing liquid and a micro fiber towel and gently tried to remove the shiny spot. Well, after I wiped it with clean water, it dried as a whitish spot now, as if some of the dye came off! Any remedy for this mistake I did?

what are some methods to have the original chrome pieces such as the front grill and window trims painted into glossy black. I called my paint guy and he told me chrome pieces are not 'paintable' and that I shouldn't go that route.

I'm having an intermittent problem with my radio. I have an '05 GX with Nav and I have installed the VAIS tech SLS. Everything works fine with the radio, but sometimes when I start the car the radio is turned off, even though the radio was left on when the truck was turned off. This is an intermittent problem and is possibly related to the VAIS unit. Is this a sign of a larger future problem with the Nav unit?

Today as I was driving on the freeway my radio randomly shut down and turned back on. it was a complete power down as if I was turning the car on. I believe I seen the dash also do a system check. I also think I felt the power steering turn on and off for a split second. very odd. I almost feel the entire car shut down for a split second.

Sitting in my living room I noticed that suddenly my headlights on my 97 Subaru ob turned on. First thought was someone was stealing my pos. Knife in hand I went to investigate. No one there. The keys were in the car, in the off position. The headlights all of a sudden turned off. I noticed that the dash lights were flickering on and off. I removed the keys yet the dash lights remained on. Not wanting my battery drained I disconnected the positive cable, which obviously corrected the issue for the time being. When I was disconnecting the battery I heard a mechanical whirring noise coming from the passenger side of the car just behind the headlight. Have never heard this noise before. NOT the intake fan or the AC. Did not investigate extensively due to darkness, wind and rain.

Sometimes the little arrow on the nav is white, and sometimes it is black. I can not determine why it changes back and forth. The black is very hard to see against the black background in "night mode".

I'm a new Lexus owner and bought a new 2013 ES300h a month ago. I've noticing that when I start the car everyday, it shakes a little bit (along the body direction) when the engine suddenly starts. You could hear the engine sound clearly as well.

For 2015 we had the ability to use our key fob to start our cars. I did this nearly everyday, doing the 1 press pause 2 press pause 3 press and hold.. this used to work, suddenly it no longer works.
Since this featured was not even featured in our manuals, I doubt I'd find a solution there. Did Lexus zap my car and ability to start it, remote app from phone works fine.

why does it shut off radio before you open door? Can this be programmed so that when u turn engine off, radio stays on till driver door is opened? My wives Audi does this and is great for waiting at bank drive-up, or picking up someone.

I have a 2013 XLT with a sirius enabled radio. my display works (time,date, shows bluetooth connected) but no sound is coming out of the system. What this could be? i tried replacing the cd player/motherboard but that did nothing... could it be a fuse?

Running lights: OK
Headlight mode, the running light stay illuminated but the head lights don't come on and the high beam light illuminates.
It feels like a relay but I don't know where to start. Had to drive home in the dark with the moon light my way home. I'd prefer to not do that again.
Found two 10A fuses under the hood. Both blown
The connectors to the lights are corroded and strangely, covered in oil. I could not find an oil leak (Problem with previous owner?)

2 years ago I had the transmission and clutch replaced on my 2002 Echo. it has driven fine since then but three days ago we were on the highway and the clutch suddenly disengaged..I don't know if that's the right terminology but it was as if I had pushed the clutch in (I hadn't) and the engine was just revving but not accelerating...I tried all the gears with the same result...eventually my car slowed to a stop.
A day later I had it towed to the mechanic...when he drove it it was fine, and did not exhibit the problem at all. He checked out the clutch and said it looked fine, and said my description of the problem made it sound as if the clutch had overheated....but he said that usually happens with city driving, not on the highway. So he is stumped..the car seems to be fine now, though I haven't had it out on the highway yet.
