Audio levels significantly lower while playing CDs versus the radio? The audio system sounds great except for that. I have to set the volume to 59 to get reasonable levels vs. 38 or 39 on the radio.
View 5 RepliesI recently leased a new 13RX350. Something I find really annoying is switching the radio between FM/AM/XM. When I press "mode" on the steering wheel to change from one frequency to the next, the pre-set stations do not follow. What is I mean is if i am listening to XM Radio, and then I press "mode" to switch to FM and want to press the up/down to change the channel, I still get the XM Radio channel. The pre-set list does not change to FM and its such a hassle having to use the control console and scroll up 6 lists of pre-sets to get to FM. I'm wondering why Lexus did not make this more intuitive?
View 6 RepliesMy audio volume does not decrease when the navigation talks. Rather, I have to keep the navigation voice level high and it simply talks over the music/audio. Is this supposed to happen or do I have something set wrong? I can't believe the audio doesn't lower automatically the same way it does for a phone call.

View 10 RepliesI have a '13 GS with the Luxury Package that has the rear seat climate & radio controls. I'm not sure if there is an issue or if the system is locked....Of the rear controls everything related to audio portion works correctly...Now if I try to turn on the heated seats, or change the temperature, or blower speed none of those work as they should.

View 14 RepliesWell, after a trip to the dealer, they don't make decisions easier. Offering a 'new' 2015 LS (only with Levinson and Comfort) msrp around 84k for 67k plus taxes. Nice discount, but on a car about to be a year old and new style coming soon,. OR 2016 ES with UL (all options) msrp 50k for 45k plus taxes.
Style on the ES fresher, but an LS is...well..an LS! Love an isolated ride, but LS is kinda large for my family. Will be hard decision. Pointers?
I have a 2008 ES that I'm thinking of trading in for a 300H. However, a couple of things bug me about the ES 300H - primarily the small size of the trunk - meaning that our suitcases would not fit in the trunk - and if you can't take a nice new car on a trip, then you start questioning what it is that you're doing.
So, I've been looking online at the 2016 Avalon Hybrid Limited, and I'm extremely impressed with what is being offered on that Limited model. It's priced in the mid $40,000's, but it comes with the complete list of options that the Lexus offers - including a larger trunk.
The feedback I'm looking for are comparisons, advantages, and disadvantages between the Lexus 300H and the Avalon Limited.
The display in the stereo in my crown vic died a while ago. It is the same single disc CD player used in the 99-03 superduty trucks.

View 1 RepliesI have a 2015 XSE w/ JBL sound system. 14k miles. ALL sound from the radio (even the beep when you press the touch screen) will intermittently cut out - usually after I hit a small bump in the road. Once the sound is off it stays off for several minutes, then it might turn back on again or might stay off for the entire ride.
The dealer replaced the radio communication box - didn't fix it. Now the dealer is ordering a new radio head unit and will replace that. I'm concerned because this will be my 3rd time going to the dealer for this repair and I'm not sure they've really root caused the problem. I would have thought that the dealer would be able to track down exactly what was failing (either a system or wiring problem) before starting to attempt repairs.
I just bought 2009 with the jbl system and I see sat on the radio but when I try it I can't get to it. I do have nav and it works great but do I have traffic? I have seen people have that too! and if I do not have it what can I do to get it?

My 06 Superduty had a plain jane AM/FM stereo. I got a 6CD MP3 replacement from a pick-a-part. I don't know the vehicle it came from, all I can say is that it was an SUV. The radio didn't look the greatest, but it worked. I went back to the junkyard to see if I could get the plug for the AUX line-in. I found a 2007 Fusion that had it so I grabbed the radio, cut the plug that goes into the back and grabbed that too. The line-in was in the center console so I cut that out too. There were seven wires coming out of the radio plug and four coming out of the line-in jack. I connected the four wires because they were the same color on both ends. One was a black wire that ran to a foil shield that encased part of the harness. I guess the other two go to the CAN bus? I don't know, there is no provision for them in my truck. The fusion radio takes a different antennae plug and the face doesn't work. When I plug in the line-in plug that I wired up, it only works on one channel. When I plug it into the radio from the SUV and hit the AUX button, it says NO AUX. Do I need one of those PIE connectors, or is there a way to make my pigtail work?
View 2 RepliesOur 6CD Radio indicates all the CD Slots are full and there are no CD's in it. It will not "load", just says "CD Error". I purchased another USED radio same exact Model # and it does the same thing. Do I have (2) bad radio's which do the exact same thing? Or is there something else in the vehicle which would make the radio's indicate this? Like rear controls?

View 3 RepliesI just bought a new JCV radio and i want to replace it with the oem radio in my truck. My truck is a 1996 Ford F250 XLT. I bought the wire harness and one connects to my radio and the other connect to the grey and red wire coming out of my dash, now there is another connector coming out of the dash that is black and i believe it is for the speaker but, i can't find an adapter to fit it . Is there a male or female adapter that i can plug it to it and the splice the other end to the harness that i bought?
View 2 RepliesIn June my Grandfather picked up a used 2010 Prius (not exactly sure what trim package it is? I think it's IV? It has heated front seats, voice activation, bluetooth, navigation, XM radio, NO sunroof though)
He honestly doesn't like the car that much, I don't think he knew about the "PWR" button that would make the gas pedal behave more like a standard throttle, but he is away on a trip right now so I am borrowing the car. I love it, and I'm going to show him the "PWR" mode when he gets back and see if that changes his opinion of the car.
ANYWAY I noticed when driving it that pressing the MAP button doesn't actually make the map display and instead changes the radio station? I did some searching and found that this may actually be a known flaw although from my searching it doesn't look like Toyota has addressed this?
I'm guessing the car is probably out of the original manufacturers warranty? Not sure if there might have been some sort of warranty from when he purchased the car pre-owned? I definitely plan to talk to him about this when he gets back because it is very annoying to not be able to switch back to the map easily. The only ways I have figured out to work around this is use the voice activation and say "show map" or to press the "DEST" button, choose a destination, and then delete that destination and then it shows the map.
