I just purchase my 2013 ES 350. Now got home and now I realized I don't know how do I turn on the navigation system without starting the car engine. I am sure there is a way to do that but I don't know how.
View 1 RepliesI have had my 2013 Santa Fe Sport exactly one month. Before I drove it off the dealer's lot the Navigation system was dead and would not turn on. The salesman could not get it turned on either. So he drove the car into the service bay, shut off the engine, opened the door and had a service writer come to the car. They got in the car and the unit worked. The same thing happened again 30 days later. I pulled off the road, turned off the engine. Waited a few moments and restarted the engine. Still dead. I turned off the engine again, opened the door and waited 30 seconds. Got back in and started the car and it worked fine. I talked to the dealer about this and they have no knowledge of the issue.
View 16 RepliesI have recently decided to not renew any XM services on my 13 GS. One unintended consequence of that decision seems to be a surprise. My slow start of the navigation system is gone. The system starts up instantly every time. I have observed it for 4 days now, and not a single slow start. Not sure if the problem is in the XM receiver, or the way the navigation tries to consume the XM data services, but it's definitely related to XM.
View 7 RepliesI just realized that I should be hearing the nav system giving me audible turn notifications. And I haven't been getting them. I have a destination entered, and am in the middle of being guided.
Having the audio system on/off makes no difference
I have the voice guides turned on (via Menu screen)
I have the voice volume set at 7 (via Menu screen)
Turning the speed-adaptive volume on/off makes no difference (via Menu screen)
I am on what seems to be the original DVD disc (v3.0?) that came with the car
I have what appears to be a dealer/aftermarket installed rear entertainment system (not OEM)
So:Does the nav system audio have it's own speaker and dedicated channel in the ML amplifier? Or perhaps it's own amplifier
Is it possible to turn off the display screen for the Nav system? I mean turn it completely off, so the screen is dark.
View 3 RepliesBig navigation screen it totally blank. Not able to turn on radio. When you start the car you see Lexus logo, then you get warning text after this text its completely black. Backups camera is working and small screen is working. I looked at Navigation fuse, TV fuse they all look good.

View 3 RepliesI'm finding the nav. system on my o7 limited tribeca hard to use. First of all, I can't figure out how to turn it off. It seems to always require a destination, and the only thing I can do to avoid it binging and trying to redirect me is to turn the sound off. Any way to tell the computer "I don't need direction to this trip"? Also the only time I've tried to use it, thr route it took me on used only surface streets, even though the freeway and a tollroad were nearby and I had entered "allow tollroads".
View 30 RepliesI've got a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid with Navigation. This morning, the navigation system did not turn on, and the screen- which is also the screen for the radio- does not work. I can still listen to the radio, but I have to use the steering wheel controls to operate, and I have to use the voice command to turn the radio on and off... the navigation screen is completely inoperable. To be honest, the only idea I have is that the fuse needs replacing?
View 4 RepliesOver the past few months my '13 350 occasionally seems to hesitate when starting from a light, in a parking spot, in general no/low speed maneuvers. It doesn't do it every time, and it's not a hesitation with engine bucking, backfire, or noise. It just feels like the power takes a few seconds to come on when I hit the pedal. Sometimes. It has been interesting a few times on highway on-ramps...
At first I thought it was my accelerator technique, using the wrong foot angle, but I've been careful to apply the pedal correctly. Since it doesn't feel like the classic engine miss I was wondering if there are any other things to consider, such as transmission (hopefully a software update or something else simple) or anything else.
How you turn up the volume on the navigation system? Unlike my wife the ladies voice telling me where to turn is hard to hear.
View 3 RepliesMy navigation out of no where has been restarting on its own meaning screen goes black and warning comes up again. I have had car since November and it only started happening last week and I have 6k on car. It will actually restart on its own twice and this has occurred 3 times so far.
Now not sure if I am dreaming this but if I shut the car off with NAV screen split with home screen I always remembered it staying that way even when I restarted car. Now however regardless of what I leave it when I restart car always shows full map. I am thinking did they push an update to NAV which is also causing the glitch in it restarting? I haven't brought it dealer since new so I know no one updated manually but I can swear home screen would stay split if I left it that way.
Having issue with NAV restart while driving, I see it was occurring in IS forum but no fix. Also it is very cold but car is garaged and every time I been driving already for a bit, another thing maybe it's my iPhone because it always plugged in when it has occurred.

View 14 RepliesI was recently in a rear-end crash. The body-shop presumably disconnected the battery, fixed the rear door, and then re-connected the battery.
Now, however, the Navigation screen just flickers.
If I press Info, Audio, or Climate, the screen is just fine
If I press Menu, Dest or Display it flickers.
(Curiously, if I press Info, Audio, or Climate AND THEN press Display, the DISPLAY is fine)
Took it to the dealer, who said it was a coincidental to the body-shop repair.
I accidently press on the suspend route and not it doesn't navigate for me. I know its just as simple as pressing the option but its "frozen". So lost without the navigation system.
