I just got my 2016 ES300 and I noticed that every time I start the car, the default view goes straight to the navigation screen. Is there a way to change it to something else or to the last screen it was before I turn off the car?
I ask is because in my previous car (Avalon), if I was on the radio screen and I turn off the car and turn it back on again, the radio screen would come up.
I read that I can change the start up pics on my GS nav screen when starting the car. I like the default ones but would like to try something new. When I went to transfer my images in the directory, it asked if I really wanted to delete the existing ones. I was under the impression that what is default remains and that I can install new ones also. Does the default ones will be removed from car nav system?
View 5 RepliesDon't know how to change the default screen setting so that it stays in either radio or Media screen. It automatically reverts to map after pressing the radio or media button.

Other cars I have seen will allow you to use the remote and close all windows and moon roof. Looking at the LS460 manual it looks like the dealer can program our remote to open the windows and moon roof with the remote. But it does not say anything about closing.
Also a question on the Navigation. Can you change the default screen to the Information screen? Mine always goes straight to the map when I start up. Could not find a place to change it.
Just traded in our 2010 Prius (III with nav) for a Prius v (Five) with display audio. Love it, and glad we made the switch.
On our old Prius, the display would simply change back to the map view after ~5-10 seconds. The new car does not seem to do this. No luck searching the manuals or the Internet. Is it possible?
I can't seem to keep the radio on the screen as a default it stays on Nav all the time. Its a rx350 2010

View 14 RepliesI have a 1995 Lexus ES300 with 130,000 miles. This car is basically a rebadged Camry of the same vintage. Occasionally, when the car sits for extended periods (overnight or while I'm at work) and I try to start it, I get nothing. Not a click--nothing. This will never happen if I pop into a grocery store or other errands that are an hour or less.I've tried jiggling the floor shifter to see if it was the neutral safety switch and no luck. I've also tried putting the car in neutral with no results. I can also move the steering wheel rapidly left-right and push hard down onto the brake pedal with no obvious results. Eventually after 10 tries or so the starter motor will engage and it just starts. Could it be the ignition (where I put the key in)?

#2. Is the analog clock really the only clock? Can I get a digital clock on the home screen/console?
I have ES 350 2016 with navigation. When you start a car, the screen always defaults to navigation mode. You must press HOME button to get home screen. Is there any way to change the default, so it always starts with the home screen ?

I am wondering why does my car default to 4th gear even at a stop when put into Selectable Gear Mode; I would think it should be in '1'. Is this a faulty vehicle requiring some fix?
In other brand vehicles I have driven, shifting into S-mode at standstill puts it in '1'. At highway speeds, it would be '6' and at intermediate speeds it will be some number in between. I can then upshift and downshift from that number as I would change gears in a manual drive car.
Is that kind of "manual simulated" driving feasible or advisable in the RX350 with the default 4th gear behavior? I have not dared to try starting from the '4th gear' for fear of ruining anything.
I bought a 2011 F250 with nav and backup camera. the backup camera only shows in the rear view mirror and NOT in the nav screen. How to program it to show in the nav screen also?

View 4 RepliesI noticed the other day that when i shift to R... the left and right rear view mirror pan out about 5 degrees in their respective direction. Normally when you shift to reverse the mirrors should tilt down. I have looked through all the settings and cannot find any customization options. How you can adjust the rear view mirrors to tilt down? I do not understand why they would pan out as it does nothing to assist you as you reverse.

Had the car about a week now and I've noticed every time I turn on the car, it defaults to recirculated in-cabin air, even when I've last turned off the car with it set to fresh outside air. Is it possible to change this default, either from recirculated to "last setting", or from recirculated to outside?
