Lexus ES 2013+ :: How To Raise Front Spoiler
Jun 18, 2016
I cannot get my new 2013 ES350 into the garage over the threshold because of the low front spoiler. It doesn't have air suspension. How can I raise it an inch?

View 13 RepliesI have a 2013 5.0 and every time I change the oil filter the oil runs out the front and back of the cross member. That welded on oil catch plate doesn't work. The suspension is stock and I'm wondering if I lift the rear of the truck with a floor jack will it get the oil from the filter all run out the front of that catch plate?
View 9 RepliesNoticed water droplets or heavy condensation in their high stop brake light (2015 model)?
I've noticed a small crack. The crack seems internal and not completely through so I don't think that is the reason. There also seems to be a vent around the water washer nozzle which should allow the light to dry out. It just seems to be taking days! Do that gap around the washer nozzle is intact a vent or are theses lights sealed. My one is the LED version.
The air suspension is auto adjusting in comfort mode....The front end will drop and raise occasionally, and the "comfort mode" ride seems stiffer than it should be sometimes....
View 6 RepliesWhen I was leaving for work, I noticed that the driver side of my front spoiler popped out (where it meets the wheel well). I tried to push it in but it wouldn't stay. I saw that there are 2 slits that look like a point for something from the spoiler to clip onto the bumper but I see nothing on the spoiler that will clip to them. I have a 2007 SE.
View 1 RepliesWas talking to a cab company running over a hundred Prius, they like the gas mileage.
Biggest problem running a hundred plus Prius in LA is the skirt front bumper is so low to the ground (for better aerodynamics) ... less than 5 inches ground clearance when loaded ... it hits the ground and bows the side moldings of the bumper.
Having problem running straps from the top of the lift gate, over the spoiler, and down to underneath the car for either a non-trailer hitch bike carrier or one of those bag type cargo carriers that rides on the back of the car. The spoiler doesn't seem to be strong enough to take much weight.
View 1 RepliesReplace rear hatch struts? Mine don't raise the hatch all the way up and sometimes hit my head so would like to replace struts.
View 11 RepliesI have a 2012 accent. Left front window rapidly clicks when I try to raise and lower glass and glass won't move.
View 2 RepliesLike the title says, I want to raise the front of my 07 F350 about 2.5 inches to get it closer to level with the rear with out throwing the alignment out of wack if that's possible. Maybe some blocks to go on the front coils? or will I need new front coils that are a bit longer?
'm talking about the FRONT of my F350.
I bought my first vehicle last October, a '99 F-250 with a 6.8 V10. I later found out (AFTER hauling a big load of rocks in a dump trailer) that one of the bottom leaf springs was broken. So this winter I have been thinking on what I want to do about it when it warms up. This is pretty much on top of the "to do" list for my truck. I did make a thread about putting 1 ton springs under it, but I think I'll just stick with the regular 3/4 ton springs. So now this is where I have another question, and I think this pic will tell some of it:
Now I'm not sure if those rear springs are stock, but that rear end is way the heck up there! The truck itself is not level, the front looks to be correct height, but not the back. A buddy at school and I were talking about a leveling kit for the front. But the more I look at it, I think the rear end should come down. I don't want to get bigger tires, as I just put brand new Transforce AT's on the back and plan to put new ones on the front in the near future.
Another question of mine is, would this have been a truck ordered just for pulling a camper? It has holes for a fifth wheel hitch in the bed, the rear end sits high, and it didn't come with a tow package. The PO told me that he put the receiver hitch on it. I'm fixing up stuff on it one thing at a time. Springs just happen to be next on the list.
I've noticed that when I open the trunk from inside the car, the trunk lid opens and raises up. When I open the trunk using the key fob, it only unlocks the trunk, but doesn't raise the lid. It's odd, is it just my car? Or can this be changed so the trunk lid raises when using the key fob. I didn't see this covered in the manual.

moonroof makes a slight "ratcheting" sound when I raise or lower it,though Roof slides open and closed perfectly.
My 2013 gs 350 f sport sounds like a school bus. I already replace the front pads with a new set of oem pads and had them resurface the disk too. after a couple of hours the noise came back! seems like my lexus dealer can't solve my issue.
View 14 RepliesI just recently dropped my car on BC racing coilovers 16k fronk and 14k rear. I am having slight rubbing issues in the Front only. For everyone that's dropped on coils, if you were rubbing what did you do? I currently have my dampening set on 16/32. The rubbing is actually only on my front fender liners. I love the comfort with 16/32 and don't want to turn it up stiffer and I don't want to raise it up too much. I was told to raise it, turn up stiffness or heat up fender liner and push it up or in a bit. Also for the rear since its 2 piece suspension, to raise or lower the rear 1/2 inch would you adjust the height on the BC struts or the BC springs (the one that's sitting in the bucket)? A shop installed mine and I've only owned 1pc rear suspension for my other cars.
View 5 RepliesI have 2013 es350. As I am hearing voice from front tire in the pickup time seems traction control system is not working. Also no difference between trc on and off in both case, you will hear the voice which means the system can not control tire spinning.
View 12 RepliesI heard that 13,14 had this issue my 15 GS is having this issue as well. Clicking noise is coming from front wheels It's like few clicks in a row when turning the wheel left / right.
Is there a DYI fix. Don't want to take to dealer they might duplicate the problem. It's not such an issue but when window is down I hear it kind of makes me wonder why a $60k car is making those noises.
I recently had new front oem rotors and pads installed on my 13 GS F Sport rwd and after a few hours of driving the loud squeal coming from the front was very embarrassing. I'm ready to pull whatever hairs on my head I have left. When I'm coming to a stop I hear it. If I'm braking lightly I hear it. If I reverse I hear it. I had the same problem prior to replacing the rotors and pads and felt that it was being caused by not having my rotors resurfaced prior to installing the last set of pads. Now, I have new everything and I have the same problem. I've already spent so much on the front brakes and I can't stand having an expensive car that sounds like a cheap car.
View 14 Repliesmy ES300h was hit on the front bumper while parked in a parking lot. It's now been at the dealer for 6 weeks trying to find the cause of the "brake" light coming on with three quick beeps for NO apparent reason. This has been happening since the collision, and with each trip to the dealer they think they have it fixed..... I can't find a common denominator for what causes the light to come on, and cannot replicate it.
View 6 RepliesWhere the parking assist sensor is in the front. I placed my license plate too far on the left I am assuming and the sensor is going off. For now I have just turned off the PA until after work. (is the PA a small visible circle?).
