I just got new es300h 2015, first day i already noticed noise from hood when driver side door opened, after door closed then opened, noise is gone.
Noise usually happened when car cooled down. I brought this issue to dealer they response its normal in hybrid car. I really doubt explanation.
The navigation screen keeps rebooting - Shows Lexus logo then warning message, waits a few seconds and then repeats. So radio, navigation and all others functions are not working any more....

View 1 RepliesI can't find in the owners manual where It explains about the bells with exiting our 2013 SE V6. Sometimes I hold the brake pedal and hit the start/stop button to shut off the engine, sometimes I don't hold the brake pedal and hit the start/stop button to shut off the engine. Sometimes I do either of those methods and the Wife opens the passenger door, sometimes she isn't with me and just the driver door opens. What happens is sometimes when I open the driver door a bell chimes.........ding, ding, ding. Sometimes it doesn't chime. I'm just trying to figure out what this intermittent chiming is all about?????? Is it a warning, a notification and if a notification what is it notifying us about?
View 14 RepliesWhile I was driving home tonight, i rolled over something essentially ripped off part of the inner fender on the front driver's side. I think it might be a two or three piece set for the inner fender. the front section that protects some fluid tank and the headlight stuff is now gone. the top and rear pieces are damaged. I will post photos/videos tomorrow during daytime when I remove the remaining pieces (can't drive with them in). I don't know if there are any differences between the various years, but I do have a 2015.
View 14 RepliesLately when I first start up and all the lights on the dash come on I see the triangle with the exclamation point (I don't remember seeing this before). It goes off when the rest of the warning lights go off. Today I backed the car out of the garage and put it in park and turned it off. When I opened the dirver door it beeped, beeped, beeped (like it was backing up). I shut the door and opened it again and it beeped again. I got out and locked it and went in the house. I went back out and unlocked it and opened the passenger door and it didn't beep anymore. I haven't tried the driver door yet.

View 24 RepliesDriver's door can't be opened. This 2005 Kia Optima EX has power door locks. It does NOT have rods that you can manually pull up to open it or push down to lock it. There are two ways to lock on unlock all the doors....with rocker switch on the driver's armrest or by pushing or pulling a small "button" located under the inside door latch to lock or unlock the door. When the driver's door gets stuck in the locked position I can hear the electric "actuator" inside the door panel as they lock or unlock the doors.
Using the "button" under the inside door handle doesn't work but if I rock the rocker switch from lock to unlock while my wife pulls on the outside door handle the door will eventually come open. The driver's lock/unlock button is operating incorrectly. When the rocker switch is pressed down to open the door, the button moves all the way back but then moves about about an eighth of an inch forward. The right side door buttons don't do this....they move all the way back or to the open door position and stay there. So, is the actuator in the door bad, is the rocker switch bad, or does= some electrical device, (a solenoid?) etc, bad that is not even located in the door?
I have had a rattle in my driver's side door since I picked up my car that was driving me crazy so when I took my ES300h into local Lexus dealer (Cool Springs in Franklin, TN) for my 1000 mile checkup, I asked them to fix it. As has happened to numerous others on the forum, they couldn't hear the rattle and did nothing.
When I got the car home, my wife and I went for a ride with her sitting behind me. We figured out it was the window rattling. When we moved the window down just slightly, so it's still sealed, the rattle went away.
When I turned off the car a light came on for open window but it still locked.
Annoyed by the wheezing noise on 2014 ES300H? It only happens when I let go off the gas pedal or breaking. Is there a way to rid of it?
View 5 RepliesI am 3 weeks into my 2014 ES300h, my first Lexus and first hybrid. I am hearing this odd rattling noise from the center console, it's almost like two wires touching. The noise comes mainly at low speeds and mostly what it seems like on the hybrid train.
I took it to the dealer who is saying they hear no noise or normal hybrid noise. Since this car is supposed to have a super quite cabin I am wondering if I am being taken for a ride (figuratively) .
I started my car this morning around 12:00pm (noon) for the first time of the day. It's about 21 degrees outside and very windy. My engine started but it really sounded like a jackhammer and was shaking. It ran for maybe 15 seconds then I shut it off. Started it back up again with my phone ready to record and it happened again.
Went back inside to call roadside assistance to bring it to a service center. Went back out to move it in the street while in neutral. Got it into place and attempted to start it again, it started and drove normally.
I'm still bringing it to Lexus on Monday so my issue can be documented especially since I have it on video.
Please check the video (more for the sound). I'm thinking it was just due to the really cold weather? Everyone kept saying with such confidence that it's the battery. I hardly think this is a battery issue.

For over a month I was having a slight rattle coming from the driver's side.
Today I found that my door panel on one end is coming off. I can literally bend it and look inside
Not sure how to take the top half (where the wood trim is) off without breaking any remaining clips.
After weeks of receiving an alert about my battery being low on my key fob I finally replaced the battery. But the drivers side door won't lock. The car does start, and even after you put it in reverse the doors still won't lock.

I'll take my car to the body shop next week, but I'm wondering what is causing this problem. Basically, I want to know how the door touch lock operates. Does it have any sensors attached to the door handle?

View 10 RepliesStrangely today my drivers side rear power door lock stopped working. Very annoying, can't unlock it electronically, and if its unlocked the rest of the car won't lock and the headlights won't go off.
I have to put it in anyways for the airbag seat rail TSB, but I was going to wait until my 40k service was due. This is too annoying to wait on since I put my briefcase and hang up my suit jacket in that seat...
Two Issues....
1.My rear dome lights work when manually turned on. They do not come on when the door is opened. However, the front dome lights do.
2.The lights on my side mirrors turn blink when using the turn signal, and when hitting the lock/unlock/remote start buttons. They do not work when driving around with my head lights on.
I purchased a brand new 2014 SFS 2.4L Luxury just a week ago. I have noticed rattling/ticking noise coming from the driver side door. If I press againt the door with my elbow, the noise stops.
And here is the weird thing, I can hear the noise in the morning when the car is cooled overnight (parked in underground garage). But it does not happen when the car has been parked under the sun for a long period of time (in 25C/77F). So basically, I hear it on my way to work and it disappears on my way home.
why does it shut off radio before you open door? Can this be programmed so that when u turn engine off, radio stays on till driver door is opened? My wives Audi does this and is great for waiting at bank drive-up, or picking up someone.
