I have a 2013 Lexus ES 350 with navigation. Is it possible to stop the drivers seat from moving back when I turn the car on? It also moves forward to the position I had it when I start the car.
View 8 RepliesMy RX350 is over 4yrs old with 105k km on it. I notice lately when I drive off the seat moves back a bit and when braking hard it moves forwards. It is about quarter of an inch movement but it is noticeable. I guess it is not under warranty now. I looked under the seat but can not find where this is coming from, I am assuming it must be a loose bolt that needs to be tightened.

View 8 RepliesMy drivers seat feels like it moves slightly after applying the brakes and then back on the gas like when you almost come to a full stop. The car is CPO with 22k and new to me so I can't say how long it's been happening. I feel like I remember a similar problem and TSB with the 2 gen IS but I'm not sure. I'm just trying to get some info before taking it to the dealer.
View 14 RepliesWhen you have the key in the ignition and have it so the steering wheels moves up and outta the way too? My seats sounds like 3-5 seconds of some serious farting action. Not good when on the phone and someone asks, "whats was that?" I am sure its the leather rubbing on the side of the console, but god damn will it ever stop!? Only 5K on the touareg, so maybe it will go away sooner or later...

View 1 RepliesThere is 68F outside and I wanted to heat up inside to 78F inside. But the climate control shows me the AC is ON as soon as I turn the fan ON. Why is that? Is the AC really turning on and stays on?
I noticed, because the air from the center vent wasn't particularly warm and the cabin didn't get warm as fast as I would expect. In other cars I would just turn the heat ON max and gradually turn it back, but it is not what I am observing here. I feel the hot air coming from the left vent only - the one next to driver door, but the center vents are barely warm. So I have 2 question here really.
1. Why is the AC indicator on climate control window showing the AC is ON when I am using the heater?
2. Is the AC turning ON always with that indicator turning ON?
I am looking to buy 2013 or 2014 ES 350. After looking at one of them, while checking the spare tire, I accidentally discovered water in the truck on the driver's side, all the way on the bottom. After that, when I look at the cars, I check this spot for water/liquid. Last weekend, I looked at three cars, and two out of three have water/liquid in the very same spot. The sales people give different explanations, and one sale person just said that he does not know why water is there. What causes it and how to repair it.

We have two kids in car seats in the back and it gives them no room to get out.
I have a 2001 Chevrolet 2500 HD crew cab truck and the drivers power seat will move in every direction but back. The motor hums when every button is pushed but when I push back the motor just clicks once and then nothing. Nothing is in the tracks or otherwise impeding the seat from moving backwards.
View 6 RepliesI have the 18-way adjustable drivers seat and it moves just about 2 inches. The height does not work. This happened a few months ago.
Now the passenger seat does the same. I do not see anything jamming the seats or something that is lodged in the tracks.
I have a question as to the sc430 reclining position.. my Sc430 will not recline far back as I would like for my normal driving position.. My GS300 reclines far back as I want.

View 1 RepliesI understand that when s-flow is on and the front passenger seat is occupied, it will detect that person and turn on their air. Turns it off when that seat is unoccupied. Does the same go for the passengers in the back of a luxury package GS? I had people back there and they said me turning on s-flow turned off their AC. I normally have s-flow on so the back seat passengers disengaged it when they turned on their AC. Then I turned it off by engaging s-flow again.
View 8 RepliesI drive a GS450h. Now I am experiencing some rattles that irritates. It is a "tock" sound that comes from around the driver seat. It is impossible for me to isolate, but it sounds like its from either of these locations:
- Driversdoor
- Roof
- A pillar driver side
- Dashboard
It doesn't matter where if the road is bumpy or not, actually it seems to be more present on smooth roads. I removed the covers of the door and looked for anything that moved in there, but it all seemed ok. How can I check for the rest? Is there a DIY for removing the roof and A-style panels/cover?
My new-to-me 2013 LS has a squeaking driver's seat... it's especially evident if the car's been parked for a week.
When I purchased the car it had this problem, the dealership "took care of it", but it came back a month later... when I lean back in the seat it squeaks annoyingly...
I purchased my car second hand. I don't know if the previous owner was a big, sweaty dude who didn't take showers but....after driving in my car for certain periods, I get a funky body odor from the seat.
I sprayed vinegar/water onto the seat, let it stay and wiped up. I wonder if there's bacteria forming on the seat heat/cooling source?
I own a 2010 Toyota Corolla LE. I've noticed recently that the driver's seat moves either forwards or backwards when coming to a stop. The movement is not dramatic, but sure is noticeable and annoying. I took the car into the dealership, and they told me if this problem was not caused by the car itself and was occurring because of me, they will charge me around 125 dollars for a diagnosis charge. I took the car right out. Is it just normal wear? My solution was to remove the whole seat and see if there are any loose nuts. By the way, the seats are manual.
View 7 RepliesSo this morning, I pressed memory seat #1, and it did not move my chair to the position that I set it for. I had to adjust the chair manually. Every time, I move the chair back or recline the back, in intermittently beeped every 1-2 seconds. It does not beep if I move the chair forward. Could it be the fuse? or what could be wrong?
View 9 RepliesI got into our car (2013 RX 450h) and the seat was completely pushed back. I had been the last (and only ) driver of our car and had not adjusted the seat. I managed to reach the brake pedal, started the car, pushed the L1 seating position and my seat re-adjusted. I then put the car into Drive and when I stepped on the accelerator, it would not move.
The parking brake was not on, there was nothing obstructing the car. I turned it off, turned it on again and it was then fine. I had last driven it 3 days prior, the battery was fine, the outside temperature was registered as 30 degrees, so not excessively cold. We park in a garage although it is not entirely closed off from the outside air.
Experienced this with the car no moving despite being in drive and stepping on accelerator?
I can set my seat to recognize what key is unlocking the door to set the drivers seat to registered position (1, 2 or 3). Now when I customize settings in the Nav area so that the driver's seat slides back partially or fully when shutting down car, it no longer recognizes the keys. When I cancel the slide back option in the Nav, it quickly recognizes the keys again. I like both options and do wish that there is a way to remedy this. Is this normal?
