Just purchased 5th Lexus. Still have 2004 SC430 & 2009 ES. On 2013 ES350, would like to have IPhone linked for phone only and a Samsung S4 linked as the music player. IGoal is to have both devices active at same time - one as phone and second for music.
View 13 RepliesIf the Iphone 5 will connect to the Entune Apps wirelessly over Bluetooth? I know it just came out, but would like to know before I preorder the phone. I'm using an Android HTC Incredible now, and after Toyota's last update, the entune apps have worked great over Bluetooth. Might go with the Galaxy S3 if the iphone still has to be tethered with a USB cable.
View 14 RepliesThe Bluetooth audio works fine w/ Enform for apps like Pandora when my iPhone is not plugged into the USB port on the car. However, when the phone is plugged into the USB port (so that I can charge it) the Bluetooth audio cannot be heard. The car looks to still be receiving data from the phone, as the song & album info appear on the display but there is no sound.
Wondering if when the iPhone is plugged into USB port it "mounts" the phone as a drive (for the media player) and therefore shuts down the audio portion of Bluetooth?
I just bought the new pre-owned 2007 SC430. Very happy about the car performance but very frustrated in trying to set up my Samsung Note 2 with the Lexus Blue Tooth. I checked the Lexus website and found out they are not tested for compatibility. Besides, the voice commands did not work very well.

View 8 RepliesI just got a 2014 ES350 and love it, however, I have one issue I can't seem to figure out and I have to assume their is an easy fix. When I use my phone (bluetooth via car) and I'm using the navigation system, the voice still give me directions while I'm on the phone. 1) it's distracting for me to have a conversation the same time the navigation is talking 2) the person on the phone hears it as well. Is their a way to set up so that the voice automatically mutes while I'm on the phone?
View 14 RepliesI have a '10 with NAV. iphone 5S. Bluetooth enabled on phone and syncs to car. Phone calls work great.
On the Radio function, there is a BT (among others) tab, however mine is greyed out. AUX tab lights up with the cable plugged into the port in the black hole and my phones headphone port. Whether this cable is plugged in or not, the BT tab is never accessible. My wife has a '13 Venza with NAV same iPhone and she can play music through her phone wireless, selecting the BT tab.
I have a 2010 RX350. Using my iPhone 5 with the bluetooth in the car is a little hit and miss/sluggish. When hitting the button for Siri, the car seems to struggle with the process.
I am curious if the firmware for the car is current... and if not, does a more current firmware update the bluetooth for better functionality. I haven't had it updated for almost 2 years. I do have navigation.

Until just about a week ago, my texts were delivered flawlessly to my Nav unit (no new software updates to car or phone). Now, nothing! My wife drives a Lexus SUV and uses an iphone 6 and the same thing has been happening to her, for roughly the same period of time.
Experiencing a problem with Contacts transfer between the Galaxy S3 and ES with Navigation? I get 56 out of 120 and told transfer completed successfully? Galaxy S3 is on Sprint service with Jelly Bean OS.

View 4 RepliesI just bought my first Lexus. It is a 2009 ES350 with navigation. I can use the hands free with no problem and even picks up SIRI but when I tried transferring my contacts from my iphone4s to the phone book it loses connection every time. Same thing when I try to stream music.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2007 GS 350. A week ago, I deleted my iPhone from the memory in my Lexus. I tried to add it again, but I am unable to do so. After I click 'Register' on the screen (car), I then click the 'Device' which says 'Not Paired' until I push the device on the phone. As soon as I select the device, the vehicle screen disconnects the setup process.
View 14 RepliesI have an iPhone 4S that connects to the car fine. The problem is that it randomly drops bluetooth during a call. It does repair after random periods of time. My only guess is the phone because the iPhone 4 I just traded in never had this issue. I have tried deleting the pairing from both the car and phone without any luck.
View 14 RepliesFor 2 years I've had no issues connecting my bluetooth to my Samsung Galaxy 4 phone. All of a sudden the screen on the Camry shows that it's not paired with my phone anymore. I go into Bluetooth setup and the area where you add a new bluetooth device isn't even allowed. The only option on the Bluetooth screen that's allowed to be touched is the "paired devises" line. My son's iphone still shows up and my old phone shows up. I wondered if it wasn't my phone but then when I go back to install a new bluetooth device it won't even let me.

Since it's a 2005 no USB input for my iPhone 4s to play music. I often stream pandora or music that's stored on my phone.
So far I have been connecting my iPhone with cassette adapter to headphone jack. The audio pretty much sucks through this method and FM transmitters are even worse!
What is the best way to connect iPhone 4s to my Prius stereo? What exactly is DICE and how good is the Audio Quality?
I do not use CD change at all! Is changer connected to an Aux. input that I can switch out for a USB input?
Can I just swap out my unit for a later model with USB input? Looking for the best audio quality option.
I have the SEL Premium: My wife drove the car several days ago and may have changed some settings and now the phone doesn't even pop up in the informational display. I've done my homework in the manual but can't seem to find the solution. the closest thing I can figure out from the manual is the phone package was turned off? i didn't even know that was possible. of course it says to put the key in the ignition to turn it on or off which as you know you can't do.
View 6 RepliesI have recently leased a 2014 VW Wolfsburg Edition Passat. It has the carnet feature on it. I am currently experiencing that my phone is not playing through my Bluetooth setting. I will listen to either spotify, or Pandora. When listening to the streaming music the car will play one song and when it goes into the next song it stops playing all together through the Bluetooth, however it is still playing on the phone. I took it in to the dealership where I got it to service this issue and was given a loaner car. I could play the Bluetooth in the 2013 passat with no issues....but get in my car and it will wither play one or nothing at all! They are saying that there is something in my phone causing this issue. For it to work in my old car no problem, which was a 2011 Jetta, and the 2013 with no problems. So I have a hard time seeing it has to do with my phone. So ok n my phone I did a factory reset....and went back out to the car...and it is still just playing one song and then stopping.
