While driving home from work today all my control functions stops working. All the steering wheel buttons, radio functions, and the center display screen all froze up. It wasn't until I restarted to car for everything to work again. What all that components have in common?
View 10 RepliesHave an '07 ES350 non-ML audio system with navi. When out to the car today and found out the radio turned on when the car started but most of the audio control buttons on the center console no longer work. They worked fine the previous day. Here is a brief list of what does and does not work.
Power/volume : pushing it in to turn the radio on/off no longer work but rotating it does increase/decrease the volume
Tune/file : works fine
All other audio control buttons on the center dash for cd/am/fm/track control no longer work.
Sound from the speakers is fine.
The mode selector on the wheel works fine.
Navigation works fine.
As it is now, I am unable to turn the radio off since the power only responds to volume control. I am able to switch between radio and cd using the mode button on the wheel and the sound is fine. Could this be a fuse issue perhaps?
I've owned Acura's for 15 years total and now own my first Lexus. Loving it so far. Just bought a used 2013 GS350 luxury package with only 12,000 miles believe it or not. Spectacular condition. Loving it so far after 4 days!
Quick condition, is there a way to permanently display the digital clock somewhere on the nav screen or is the analog clock the only option? Not a big deal, but prefer digital clocks.
I got an 07 LS460 without navi but it still comes with a screen. Last week, the display started to work only intermittently and got pretty pissed. Last night was driving without the screen, but when a passenger stepped in, the jolt kinda made it work all over again. However, this morning it didn't work again.
I brought it to the stealership today and they claimed that the fuses are all working and its the screen that is spoiled and has offered to replace it for about 12kUSD. What do you recommend me doing. But first I am gonna try to remove the battery for 20mins tonight to see if it gets better.
I have a 2013 GS 350 and I think the display is kind of wasted space most of the time. The default view is to show the map which is in terrible resolution and the navigation is too cumbersome to be useful. When I need navigation I use google maps which obeys voice commands, is always up to date and has traffic flow information.
Is there a way to hack the nav screen to be more useful? Perhaps display items from the phone? Maybe some other use while driving?
Just had my 2015 ES350 for a week. Today when I was driving on the highway, all the sudden the audio display screen (no navigation) was turned off by itself, but I still hear the sounds from the speakers. all the buttons were not working. after few minutes, the display system seems reboot itself, then it was frozen at start screen with only shows the Lexus logo on it. until I pulled over and restarted the car, it was back to normal.
View 5 RepliesI am trying to troubleshoot why my heater blower, cruise control and info center above my rear-view mirror has stopped working. I am trying to confirm power to an orange wire next to the driver-side fuse box. I have confirmed no power at the fuses. I am hoping the problem is the wire box below the fuse box and not the ignition switch. I have a wiring diagram and the power feed to these three fuses is via an Orange wire. There are two Orange wires in the box, I am trying to determine which one feeds the fuses for these three devices. I have a picture of the fuse box.
View 2 RepliesI can be driving down the road and "blam", the "check parking assist" comes on my nav screen. This message screen comes on and goes off all the time. It comes on when I am not around anything close. I had the parking assist sensors checked and every thing checked out OK. Could this a an electrical problem? If it becomes irritating, I just turn the parking assist off.

Anyway, I accidentally pushed the key button and now the sks functions don't work. Car still (un)locks by pushing buttons on key fob. Car still starts by inserting fob into slot.
I have a 2013 elantra gt. Recently my steering wheel controls just stopped working, I'm over miles on the warranty so if I take it to the dealer it'll cost a fortune. I looked through the manual to see if I can find what fuse the controls would be on but I can't seem to figure it out. I'm hoping it's just a fuse issue not electrical. How to fix it.. My ocd is kicking in cause I can't change the trip back to miles to empty. What fuses to check. My next idea was to beat up the steering wheel...

The 2nd hand multi-information display panel is from a 2004 RX330 and what are the socket behind the display panel meant for.
what is the 4 socket connectors as indicated in the red circle in the image should be connected to?
So I've noticed that when I am stopped and press the brake pedal all the way the traction control light comes on.
View 4 RepliesIs there a possibility of the radio itself overheating causing this issue. I experienced this the other day, was driving around and the volume control on the radio no longer worked. Could turn it off and all other functions worked but the volume could only be changed from the tracer buttons on the steering wheel. Shutting the car off and back on worked but for how long? Seems that this should be a recall since several owners have experienced this issue with the jbl stereo.

View 7 RepliesOwn a 2011 6.7 diesel, 59K mileage, short bed 4 WD. Was driving at 70 mph and noticed my instant mileage display read 0. Usually I see a instant mileage reading of at least 16. No regen was in progress. Steady gas throttle. Display could be changed to other screens. After a few minutes it came back. But it jumped to 16 and did not ramp up.

View 6 RepliesI have a 2011 Limited Edition Sonata that I had for 4 years now. My audio system completely died. Does not turn on, thus no sound. Buttons don't work either.
On top of that, the display screen (that shows what track/radio station is playing, and clock) is dead as well. I checked the audio fuse, and it looks fine (U shape).
Before both went completely dead, it seldom came on but would die on me again. Now gone for good.
I was driving slowly with cruise control on when the check engine light came on, a few restarts and it still didn't go away. All fluid levels are OK, no other errors show up on start-up or driving and the car drives fine on both ICE and EV modes.
I'm bringing the car in first thing tomorrow. I called my usual Lexus guy and he didn't know what the problem could be either. I'm a bit freaked out, to be honest. Wish I had an OBD dongle to use with Carista.
Had to get a replacement battery for my 04 GX470. The garage replaced mine with the same model. Turns out the model changed, poles were reversed and I hooked it up backwards. Realized I did something stupid so I took it back and got another replacement. It cranks over now but I have no display screen, radio, climate control, power windows, power seats, and I'm guessing more. I am guessing a few in my engine compartment as well as the drivers side kick. Thing is, not sure how to tell if the engine compartment fuses are blown or not.
View 7 RepliesI have a 2013 RX350 AWD, purchased new about 8 months old. Today for the first time, the navigation/audio system joy stick stopped working while I was driving. The display froze and then had just lines of pixels and very small font. Moving the joy stick had no effect. There was also no map displayed. The display was basically "messed up".
Once I got home, I turned of the car and then restarted. The display and joy stick was fine. I never saw this in all 8 months I've had the car. I am just about to schedule my 10,000 service.
