I have ES 350 2016 with navigation. When you start a car, the screen always defaults to navigation mode. You must press HOME button to get home screen. Is there any way to change the default, so it always starts with the home screen ?

Today when I was driving on the highway, all the sudden the audio display screen (no navigation) was turned off by itself, but I still hear the sounds from the speakers. all the buttons were not working. after few minutes, the display system seems reboot itself, then it was frozen at start screen with only shows the Lexus logo on it. until I pulled over and restarted the car, it was back to normal.

View 6 RepliesI just got a 2014 ES350 and love it, however, I have one issue I can't seem to figure out and I have to assume their is an easy fix. When I use my phone (bluetooth via car) and I'm using the navigation system, the voice still give me directions while I'm on the phone. 1) it's distracting for me to have a conversation the same time the navigation is talking 2) the person on the phone hears it as well. Is their a way to set up so that the voice automatically mutes while I'm on the phone?
View 14 RepliesI have a new 2015 Es 350 (Great car!!). I have paired an iPhone 5s to the Nav system but have not been able to receive e-mails or Text messages on my screen. I have followed the directions but so far nothing transfers. The other iPhone features appear to be working fine. I have activated "send Notifications."

The navigation screen keeps rebooting - Shows Lexus logo then warning message, waits a few seconds and then repeats. So radio, navigation and all others functions are not working any more....
View 5 RepliesBig navigation screen it totally blank. Not able to turn on radio. When you start the car you see Lexus logo, then you get warning text after this text its completely black. Backups camera is working and small screen is working. I looked at Navigation fuse, TV fuse they all look good.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2016 LX570 with 5,000 miles on the odometer. This morning the navigation screen is blank and the radio does not work. Took the truck to the dealer, they said Lexus is aware of the problem but does not have a solution. They will call me back when Lexus figures out what is wrong. No offer to give me a loner with a functional navigation unit.

Can I change this to default to fresh air mode?
I added air to my tires today and wanted to reset the TPMS, the manual stated that the button to hold for a few seconds is located on the lower Left side of the dash below the fuel door release button area. I searched far and wide and am unable to find any button?
Where this button is or how to reset the system.
I have a new 2016 ES350 and I hear a strange electric motor type sound coming from the LT rear wheel /wheel well area when the car is off (was parked outside and was turned off 5 hours before I noticed the noise). I couldn't figure out what was making the noise, it lasted about 3 minutes after I noticed it before it stopped.
View 2 RepliesI have recently decided to not renew any XM services on my 13 GS. One unintended consequence of that decision seems to be a surprise. My slow start of the navigation system is gone. The system starts up instantly every time. I have observed it for 4 days now, and not a single slow start. Not sure if the problem is in the XM receiver, or the way the navigation tries to consume the XM data services, but it's definitely related to XM.
View 7 RepliesMy wife has a 2012 ES-350 with the Parking Assist feature but NO NAVIGATION. You have to get within about 2-3 feet of an object before the warning (visual and audible) detects an object in front or the year of the car. Can the "Sensitivity" be adjusted up so it will recognize a danger long before 2-3 feet ? My LS-460 has a Sensitivity Setting in The GPS settings but since her car does not have GPS, I don't know how to adjust the sensitivity to give her more warning of getting too close to another car or object. How to do this ?

View 5 RepliesWe bought our ES350 used a number of years ago. When we changed the battery, the Nav system no longer worked and a " A program cannot be read. Please consult to a dealer." message appeared. Am I wrong to assume that the loss of power from the battery swap caused the software to dump from the system and there was no disc installed to "reboot" the system? All I need is a disc and the system will restore? If so will an "update" disc work or do I need an original "program" disc?
View 1 RepliesAccording to the navigation manual (attached), the navigation screen should go to the home screen within 5 seconds. But my IS never goes to the home screen without pressing the home button, but it always shows the full screen map. I tried many different things including "Auto Screen Change" setting but nothing seems to work.

The start up messages take way too long to clear, during which time they obscure the top section of the backup camera? I first get "phone connection successful..." followed by "transfer complete". Between the two messages, the top 15-20% of the backup camera screen is obscured. And it's really that top sliver of the screen that allows you to see more than 4 feet behind the car. I suppose I should just be more patient, but 10 seconds (I've timed it) is an eternity to wait after starting the car before you can start backing out.
So I just back out as if I don't have a camera using my mirrors and looking over my shoulder (which I did for my previous 30 years of driving before getting my GS so I guess it's not THAT big of a deal). I just find it really annoying to put a backup camera in the car and then obscure it with messages. It's interesting that Lexus feels it's important to tell me that my phone has been connected for a full 10 seconds. It would be more interesting to know if I was about to back up into something.
I just got my 2016 ES300 and I noticed that every time I start the car, the default view goes straight to the navigation screen. Is there a way to change it to something else or to the last screen it was before I turn off the car?
I ask is because in my previous car (Avalon), if I was on the radio screen and I turn off the car and turn it back on again, the radio screen would come up.
I noticed yesterday that each time I turned the car on it would automatically be set in EcoMode. I thought our cars start in normal mode because of epa mpg testing purposes. I'm not complaining just wondering how this happened on its own since I've read on this site that the GS starts on normal. I have a '15 model.
