I have a new 2016 ES350 and I hear a strange electric motor type sound coming from the LT rear wheel /wheel well area when the car is off (was parked outside and was turned off 5 hours before I noticed the noise). I couldn't figure out what was making the noise, it lasted about 3 minutes after I noticed it before it stopped.
View 2 RepliesI'm getting a little rumble in my Lt Rear wheel bearing with just over 50k miles. I'm looking online at parts and the part number for the hub/bearing assy is 4246033030. It's showing up as a Toyota part as well.
Does the same part matches a Camry or Avalon? The Toyota version of the part is about half of the price.
I have a 2013 Lexus ES350 and the left edge of the rear bumper keep pops open during the hot summer days. The first time I saw this gap between my bumper and the frame I thought someone has hit my car's bumper. After close inspection, the bumper is smooth as butter just like the first day I brought the car home. I took the car last Saturday to a Lexus dealer for an inspection. The service guy told me there is nothing he can do and maybe bring the car back on a weekday so their diagnostic guy can take a look.

I have been looking under the hood for 2 days now and cannot seem to locate it. I have located the brake fluid reservoir which was flushed out today...night and day difference in braking btw. Now this power steering is bugging me but i cant locate the reservoir.

This weekend is the first time that I took the car out for a drive... When I got home, I noticed the left rear wheel area is covered with grease... I don't know where it came from... look like brownish goo... I splashed around the inner side of the wheel and also cover part of the rear brake caliper, brake line, and control arms.
What kind of grease is this?? Where is the grease came from???
My GS is all stock... No modification.... Currently has 62K on it.
My 2013 ES350 is 3 months old, treated like a baby, and today I noticed paint peeling on the left front rim in two places (white areas on photo below). I never hit a curb (or anything else), and there is no dent or scratch associated with this.
View 14 RepliesThe last couple of days I've noticed a metal clinking noise coming from the right front wheel area when I go over bumps. The best way I can describe it is what it sounds like when there's a loose washer and nut on a bolt. A metal on metal sort of thing. Tonight I was able to replicate the sound I heard by pounding on the tire and got it on video and posted it below. Watch in HD to hear the sound I'm referencing clearly.

1. Just had spacers installed a few days ago
2. Also diagnosed the "clicking brake while turning slowly" issue. Thread about it here: [URL] .... Wondering if this has anything to do with the noise.
I have an appointment with Lexus tomorrow morning to have the brake clicking fixed under the TSB and several other issues addressed. Mostly rattles...
My 99 F250 has just recently started making a "rattling" noise. The noise sounds like its coming from the front left wheel area. The noise is constant while driving down the road, its NOT created by bumps or anything, its a constant noise while moving.

The sound lingers for just a moment after the ignition is cut off, and sounds like a loud, very fast tatatatatatatata. It doesn't always do this - sometimes I don't hear anything. I've been commuting in the GX for four years and I've only been hearing this intermittent occurrence over the last 3-5 weeks.
What this might be? Fuel pump? Air leveling suspension pump?
My 2015 Gs 350 F sport started making grinding noise from the front passanger side wheel. The noise comes from driving and not braking so im assuming its not the brake pads and its not squeaking noises as a worn out brake will sound.

The dealer said it is normal and the auto suspension readjusting. However, it will continue for a long time but will turn off if I start it up. I am concerned this normal leveling will burn out the motor in do time. We have a 2010 premium.

I hear sometimes a tiny metallic clicking noise coming from the front of headliner in my 2013 Lexus ES350, on the driver's side. It only happens sometimes while driving over the small potholes. It can be from the sunroof mechanism, but I am not sure. What can cause it?

View 14 RepliesI have a 2002 GMC Senoma 4WD. I have recently noticed a roaring noise in the area of the left front wheel, The noise is associated with rotation of the wheel. There is no unusual tire wear or shimmy. I rarely use the 4WD however when I engage the 4LO option the noise gets louder.
View 3 Replies2000 Mercury Villager. Noise in the left front wheel area only. Listened to both sides and zero noise on the right side. It's a metallic scraping noise. It's increase frequency as you speed up much like a train does as it speeds up. And stops when you push on the brakes. Doesn't seem to be related to steering.
View 2 RepliesSo I have an 06 mercury mountaineer it was making a rubbing noise from the rear left tire area so I replaced the bearing took the merc for a test drive and as soon as I applied pressure to the accelerator the TCS kicked off all power and it left like the brakes on the front left engaged (accompanied by some nasty grinding noises). I have taken it apart replaced the hub assembly and the cv axle, nothing looks to be out of place and everything is clean I cant think of anything else it could be..

I opened the trunk to investigate where it might be coming from but it can't be heard from inside the trunk. The only place I can hear it is in the wheel well area. Any clue what this is?
View 4 RepliesTried searching, but all I found were links to fan noise in rear seat area. Yesterday my wife was in the garage and heard a fan-like noise in the right rear wheel well. The car had been parked for a couple of hours after a trip to the doctor's office. I could faintly hear it inside the cargo area when the 12v battery is located, but it was more pronounced outside. I got the key, started the car and the noise stopped and hasn't returned. I have no problem taking it in to have it checked, but I thought I'd check here before I did that in case it's normal. It's intermittent, so I don't know how easy it will be to diagnose.

However when i brake the noise goes away for the entire time im braking. What could be causing this noise?
