On my 2015 ES350, when I receive a text message on my iPhone a message notification will be displayed on the dash and I can play the message content over the speakers in the car....but here's my question...while I am able to receive and "play" text message content via my entertainment system, I can't find a way to send text messages via the entertainment system...am I missing something?

I have followed the directions but so far nothing transfers. The other iPhone features appear to be working fine. I have activated "send Notifications."

View 3 RepliesI just upgraded my 2010 Camry XLE to the 2015 XLE Hybrid this weekend. Couple of issues... How to get the voice activated system to SEND text messages? I can receive and view them through the car display, but can't get them to respond. I get through all the prompts and then upon sending it stops and says it's not supported.
Second, what I need to get for my iPhone 6 Plus in order to use the built in Qi wireless charger that came with my car? Also, where can I get whatever it is I need to attach to my phone?

Until just about a week ago, my texts were delivered flawlessly to my Nav unit (no new software updates to car or phone). Now, nothing! My wife drives a Lexus SUV and uses an iphone 6 and the same thing has been happening to her, for roughly the same period of time.
I just upgraded my phone from galaxy s5 to galaxy s7. Even though on S5 my GS350 would display and read text messages, it stopped on my S7. I made my text messages work again.
1. Remove all linked phones, unpair bluetooth connection, and restart phone in SAFE mode
. (Google how to start your phone in Safe mode).
2. After pairing and connecting phone to car blue tooth in safe mode, everything transferred, all contacts, text messages, even emails.
You now can receive texts and use the available message replies.
3. Restart your phone to take out of safe more and you are all set.
I have a 2014 ES300H and just recently purchased an iPhone. Used to be an Android guy. Now I see a feature that says Auto Read Text Messages when using my iPhine. However, the car never does. I still have to ask Siri to read it. I have the feature turned on. How to get this to work?
View 7 RepliesI pretty much have my car all setup now, but one thing that I have not been able to do is receive text messages to where it will display on the in dash screen. I have the Solar Package / Premium Navigation system. As for my Phone, I have the Galaxy Note II with Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and AT&T. My phone still receives texts while connected to the car's blue tooth, and I can view on my phone, but I'm unable to view on the in dash display, which means I can't send out the quick replies either. Is there something in the phone that I need to set up?

View 14 RepliesThere is 68F outside and I wanted to heat up inside to 78F inside. But the climate control shows me the AC is ON as soon as I turn the fan ON. Why is that? Is the AC really turning on and stays on?
I noticed, because the air from the center vent wasn't particularly warm and the cabin didn't get warm as fast as I would expect. In other cars I would just turn the heat ON max and gradually turn it back, but it is not what I am observing here. I feel the hot air coming from the left vent only - the one next to driver door, but the center vents are barely warm. So I have 2 question here really.
1. Why is the AC indicator on climate control window showing the AC is ON when I am using the heater?
2. Is the AC turning ON always with that indicator turning ON?
A/C in my 2015 ES350 (25K miles) has failed 2 times.
1. Outside temp 92 Deg. I start the car and turn on the A/C. It is pumping hot air. I wait 5 min. It is still pumping hot air. I switch it off and start again. It pumps cold air.
2. Outside temp 94 Deg. I start the car and turn on the A/C. It is pumping hot air. I turn it off and on. No luck continued to pump hot air. Next morning out side temp 77 Deg. I start the A/C works fine.
I took it to the dealer. He says unless he can see the failure he cannot do any thing.
What are the setting to enable text message push notifications? I switched to a new phone and lost the feature.

She said the music quit playing but didn't notice anything on the screen. Is there a setting I have to change/activate to have the message show on screen?
View 14 RepliesI had an android phone prior and everything worked great. Got calls, texts, and music streaming all working all the time.
Then I swapped over to an iPhone 6 and I can no longer see incoming text messages. I'll hear the alert through my car speakers but nothing comes up on the navi screen. I Googled and people said you have to unsync it, then resync it a few times to get it to work. But I haven't been successful.
Just had my 2015 ES350 for a week. Today when I was driving on the highway, all the sudden the audio display screen (no navigation) was turned off by itself, but I still hear the sounds from the speakers. all the buttons were not working. after few minutes, the display system seems reboot itself, then it was frozen at start screen with only shows the Lexus logo on it. until I pulled over and restarted the car, it was back to normal.
View 5 RepliesI have ls 460 my rear seat entertainment is not working. i can't open the rear screen and when i hit Display button in left of the navigation screen there is no " rear " word that open the rear screen.
View 8 RepliesRecently bought the Lexus 450h and the Rear Entertainment system is an Aftermarket system. It was delivered to my wife yesterday and I had thought they were going to put in the Factory system. After looking at the current system I am kind of concerned about it.
The system looks to be an Invison SL system that is in the headrests. The concern I have is that we use the rear entertainment for our young children and they can't wear the headphones. the way it is set up the audio only comes through the headphones, it won't come over the car speakers. Plus the headphones if they could wear them are not volume limiting
Also someone needs to be in the back to start or stop the dvds. The other luxury suv we have has the factory dvd system. Audio comes over the main speakers and we can start/stop the dvd with controls from the main console in the front. this is not a knock on invision but for our setup it seems like the factory would be better.
I would like to have to the factory system because I like to have it all integrated and working together.
I have a nexus 6 with the 7" Entune with Nav but non jbl unit. Everything works fine except everything comes up unknown for receiving text messages. I played around with the settings a quite a bit. Rebooted the head unit countless times using the hold down the power button for 5 seconds trick. Totally uninstalled Entunes and reinstalled and reconnected it to the phone again and did all the updates with no luck. It does read the messages and the phone displays the contacts from the phone fine but the contacts on the SMS aren't syncing together. Since they are unknown, I am unable to do any of the quick messages thru the entune system.
