I have Iphone 6 and having issues with Bluetooth in the ES 350, It pairs with the phone but outgoing phone calls have to be initiated from the NAV Screen otherwise there is no sound. Well that's a problem because these cars can't transfer phone book from IOS. Hmm. This worked with Iphone 5 but seems to be broken with Iphone 6?
Dialed from the NAV screen = Sound through Car Speakers and mic. Dialed or started from the iphone = No sound on car Bluetooth, have to switch to Iphone Speaker.

I'm able to pair my iPhone 4 with my LS460. When I turn off the car or start the car the pairing will not remain.

I just bought my first Lexus. It is a 2009 ES350 with navigation. I can use the hands free with no problem and even picks up SIRI but when I tried transferring my contacts from my iphone4s to the phone book it loses connection every time. Same thing when I try to stream music.

I have a 2007 GS 350. A week ago, I deleted my iPhone from the memory in my Lexus. I tried to add it again, but I am unable to do so. After I click 'Register' on the screen (car), I then click the 'Device' which says 'Not Paired' until I push the device on the phone. As soon as I select the device, the vehicle screen disconnects the setup process.

Ok, I've had my truck for a while now and it's the first one to ever have bluetooth audio streaming. The problem I have is that once my phone links into the truck I can't hear any other indications at all......there's no sound for a text message or incoming email or anything that should play from my phone. I never had this problem with the USB link in my Chevy. It's annoying because I need to keep my phone sitting on my lap to feel if I get a text or something. it happens whether I'm using USB to charge or streaming.

I have a new 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited with the factory navigation system installed.
The car recognized my iPhone 4 and connected with no problems. The manual says that the contact list uploads from the phone to the car automatically. My contact list did upload to the car automatically, but about 20% of the contacts did not transfer. I tried it several times with the same results.

2005 Prius with Premium JBL sound system with CD Changer, tape Deck, etc. package 6 with Navigation.
Since it's a 2005 no USB input for my iPhone 4s to play music. I often stream pandora or music that's stored on my phone.
So far I have been connecting my iPhone with cassette adapter to headphone jack. The audio pretty much sucks through this method and FM transmitters are even worse!
What is the best way to connect iPhone 4s to my Prius stereo? What exactly is DICE and how good is the Audio Quality?
I do not use CD change at all! Is changer connected to an Aux. input that I can switch out for a USB input?
Can I just swap out my unit for a later model with USB input? Looking for the best audio quality option.

I switched from an Android phone to a iPhone 4 and after the switch I noticed that sometimes the bluetooth A2DP audio goes out in the middle of playing. The bluetooth does not drop connection or lose pairing, but there just no sound.
I can tap the "play" icon on the Nav touch screen and the sound comes back for a minute or so and goes out again repeatedly. If I don't do anything and just wait, after a minute or two the sound spontaneously returns and usually keeps going.
At first I though it was a problem with the podcast app I was using, but then I noticed the exact same behavior with playing music with the built-in native iPod app.

Occasionally when I start my car my phone won't connect and the only way to get a connection is to restart the car. Trying to connect through the system doesn't work.
Sometimes I have to restart the car several times to get a connection.
The phone is an iPhone 6.

My wife has a new 2015 RX and in setting up the IPhones phones the contacts were downloaded. The problem is that we both have some of the same contacts and now we have many duplicates. Is there a way around this?
I wondered if I deleted both phones then added one with contacts, then turned off automatic downloads and added the second phone. Probably come up short a few contacts but better than a mess of dupes. It also appears that the car downloads ALL contacts from your IPhone and not just the groups you may be using.

My iPhone 4S stopped communicating through the NAV system last week. I could still call out using voice commands but I could not be heard or hear the other person.
Went to Dealership yesterday thinking something in the car broke and after an hour of testing was told that the phone was too old. Apparently Apple updates the phone's OS from time to time, and this time it broke the Lexus NAV system to phone link.
So I went out and upgraded the 4S to a 6. Now it works again, so Lexus Tech was right, it was an Apple OS upgrade that must have happened a week ago.
I wonder if Lexus will now remove the 4s from its "compatibility" list.

I've got an iPhone 6 running iOS 8.0.2 and a 2014 ES300h, and the car won't read texts or even alert me that I got a new text at all. Everything else seems to be working fine, such as phone calls, Bluetooth audio, and engaging Siri.

I had an android phone prior and everything worked great. Got calls, texts, and music streaming all working all the time.
Then I swapped over to an iPhone 6 and I can no longer see incoming text messages. I'll hear the alert through my car speakers but nothing comes up on the navi screen. I Googled and people said you have to unsync it, then resync it a few times to get it to work. But I haven't been successful.

I have a '10 with NAV. iphone 5S. Bluetooth enabled on phone and syncs to car. Phone calls work great.
On the Radio function, there is a BT (among others) tab, however mine is greyed out. AUX tab lights up with the cable plugged into the port in the black hole and my phones headphone port. Whether this cable is plugged in or not, the BT tab is never accessible. My wife has a '13 Venza with NAV same iPhone and she can play music through her phone wireless, selecting the BT tab.

I have a 2010 RX350. Using my iPhone 5 with the bluetooth in the car is a little hit and miss/sluggish. When hitting the button for Siri, the car seems to struggle with the process.
I am curious if the firmware for the car is current... and if not, does a more current firmware update the bluetooth for better functionality. I haven't had it updated for almost 2 years. I do have navigation.
