Parking assist & sensors for back is working and show alert in screen but no sound alarm. I need to get more information about the car i just buy it....
View 2 RepliesI have a 2008 LS. The buzzer for my front parking assist sensors is significantly louder than when the buzzer sounds for the rear sensors. I have adjusted the buzzer volume to the loudest position (#5), but the volume of the buzzer when the rear sensors activate is still much lower than for the front sensors.
The indicators on the nav screen for all the sensors are working properly. Do you find the volume is different between the front and rear sensors or do I have a problem?
I am asking because I inadvertently backed out of a driveway into a car that was parked directly across the street. I do not recall hearing the sensor sound before I hit the other car. At the time, my sensor volume was set on #3. When I checked, I could barely hear the buzzer from the rear sensors, but could clearly hear the buzzer from the front sensors. Resetting the buzzer volume to #5 has worked a bit, but I still wish the buzzer for the rear was louder.
I can be driving down the road and "blam", the "check parking assist" comes on my nav screen. This message screen comes on and goes off all the time. It comes on when I am not around anything close. I had the parking assist sensors checked and every thing checked out OK. Could this a an electrical problem? If it becomes irritating, I just turn the parking assist off.

View 2 RepliesMy parking assist warning system has suddenly stopped working. (2007 LS460) I'm thinking I may have disabled it while pushing some other buttons or doing something else. I changed the distance to farthest but that didn't work. It was working perfectly last week. I did disable the auto down tilt on the steering wheel. Could this have also disable the parking assist?
View 10 RepliesWhy i dont hear the beeping sound when i am parking my car? i just bought the car 3 days ago and have read the manual and did a forum search. I have pressed the "hold" button on the steering wheel and went to the display to make sure the parking assist volume is not at zero. however, WHY can't i hear the beep sound as i get close to objects? i would like to hear it since i am still getting used to the size of this vehicle.

View 1 RepliesI've had my '09 ES 350 for a few months now. I am disappointed in the low volume of parking sensor alert. The volume is all the way up and the switch is on. Expecting it to be louder as I am or do I have a faulty "speaker"? I'll be going to the dealer next month for service and will get their opinion at that time.

View 6 RepliesMy wife has a 2012 ES-350 with the Parking Assist feature but NO NAVIGATION. You have to get within about 2-3 feet of an object before the warning (visual and audible) detects an object in front or the year of the car. Can the "Sensitivity" be adjusted up so it will recognize a danger long before 2-3 feet ? My LS-460 has a Sensitivity Setting in The GPS settings but since her car does not have GPS, I don't know how to adjust the sensitivity to give her more warning of getting too close to another car or object. How to do this ?

View 6 RepliesI just noticed this morning that both rear parking assist and BSD on my 2015 SFS Limited are not working. Other than the button near the shifter to turn off the audible alarm for parking, I don't recall any other buttons or settings that would turn both systems off. I won't have access to the user manual until later this evening. I did clean off the rear parking sensors but that didn't change anything. Am I missing something?? What's common? Perhaps a fuse?

She said the music quit playing but didn't notice anything on the screen. Is there a setting I have to change/activate to have the message show on screen?

View 5 RepliesI got an 07 LS460 without navi but it still comes with a screen. Last week, the display started to work only intermittently and got pretty pissed. Last night was driving without the screen, but when a passenger stepped in, the jolt kinda made it work all over again. However, this morning it didn't work again.
I brought it to the stealership today and they claimed that the fuses are all working and its the screen that is spoiled and has offered to replace it for about 12kUSD. What do you recommend me doing. But first I am gonna try to remove the battery for 20mins tonight to see if it gets better.
Super excited still just picked up a 13 cpo fsport awd, obsidian and cabernet. Playing with the set up and seeing some of the posts on here a couple questions I had.
#1. There's a DIY thread for changing the puddle light. I couldn't find in the settings how to turn those lights on. When I lock the doors or unlock, they don't turn on.
#2. In the phone settings, there's an option to show contact pictures for the caller ID. I tried a couple calls, but the picture doesn't show on the dash screen, but does on my phone.
iPhone 6s or 6s Plus and get text messages to show on the big screen? I was fine when I had an Android but work switched me to an iPhone and now it doesn't work. I have show notifications enabled.

I replaced all 4 sensors today with ones off ebay and I get the same thing.
Anything else I can try before I have to take it to the dealer?
The originals and my new ones all clicked when I put my ear up to them.

And there are no cars in front of me
My work truck that I drive, a 2006 F-150 Lariat 4x4 extended cab, rear parking sensors quit working. The button on the dash is lit up all the time like when you shut it off. I posted this on the F-150 section too and was able to find a suggestion that you can listen to each sensor while in reverse and if you don't hear a clicking at the sensor it has failed. All (4) sensors are clicking away while in reverse so not sure what else to check, no one in the F150 section, so that is why I put it here.
