Wheel alignment for ES350? I have negative camber on all four wheels (picture below has a view what it is).
Also I just made an appointment with mechanic, and he said on the phone that for car like that you can not do alignment with negative camber. He said that likely I have bad bearing or shock, or something else. I hope he is wrong..
I have a weird problem with my alignment. I have had this car about a year and in April put my summer wheels on. I have a staggered set of rohana's 20x9 up front and 20x10.5 in the back. When I took the factory tires off I could see inner tire wear. I figured just needed new tires cause I don't feel any pulling or known alignment issues.
After a few months I started getting a little wobble in my wheel and more road noise on the summer wheels. When I finally got it looked at just the passenger rear tire had inner wear. I took it to get aligned and the alignment shop said this thing is really good it was all in the green. They did do a little adjustment but nothing major. Showed me the print out and everything. My car is not lowered at all. I've attached pictures......
On my 10 LS460 swb am contemplating cleaning the MAF sensor.
As the battery is in its own corner, I'm not too sure how to disconnect the negative terminal so I want to know, if I clean the MAF sensor and leave the battery connected, will that have adverse affect?
I think pulling and re plugging a specific fuse will also work?
I just bought a 2006 LS460. It's pulling strongly to the left (this is a UK RHD car). I'm assuming this is just a wheel alignment/tracking thing, but just in case it's not, are there any other potential causes that I should be aware of ?

I was told there is nothing that can be done to adjust camber for tire wear on the cars with stock air. However, I have seen online that it can be adjusted with a smaller drop on the air. What is true and what isn't?
View 14 RepliesI have been hearing this somewhat loud rolling sound lately for my 97 Acura Integra, it usually occurs when it reaches a certain speed on the high way, say around 55/60+ MPH. It seems to be coming from around the wheels. Could this be due to unbalanced tire pressure for the tires, or do I need a new alignment? I did recently poured some generic Power Steering fluid as my PS tank was getting low, could this have caused the rolling sound, that perhaps I should have only used Honda/Acura PS fluid? I had replaced two axles last year, so it is unlikely it's due to that.
View 6 RepliesMy Outback gets the DTs in the steering wheel. 2003 with 300K highway miles. New tie-rods, brakes, brake master cylinder, alignment & balance (all from great shop with great rep) have failed to eliminate the problem. It comes on suddenly at highway speeds, usually in cold weather (below 20); but not necessarily in snowy conditions. Slowing down to 30/20 mph does not stop the shudder (though it slows and reveals itself as a fierce twitch to the right). Eventually the shudder is accompanied by a rhythmic scraping sound somewhere in the left front wheel well, which maybe is there all along but inaudible at higher speeds.
View 5 RepliesI just bought a 2007 LS460L. 've noticed a squeaky sound coming from the wheels at about 10-20 MPH but then it goes away. I bought this car from Land Rover Cerritos so i can't imagine that they sold me a car with worn brakes.

It also doesn't happen when I pick the car up slowly. If I go even a bit fast I hear this rotating like noise and vibration. What it could be?

2006, 4.7L V8 is bulletproof, but with 165k miles already, what should I look for when inspecting the vehicle?
It's been dealer serviced. Is there anything other than normal wear and tear items that might be negatively impacted by doing so many road trips (lets say 300 miles at a time) That would be around 550 trips of 300 miles in 6 years.
The reason I ask this rather than just looking at the truck is because I'm in Dallas and the truck is at a Houston dealer... So before I drive out there, I wanted to "assume" what affect this kind of usage would do to an engine.
Putting 17-inch wheels on an LS460/600h (without sport brakes)? The rotors are the same size as the IS350 which comes with 17-inch, but the calipers are different, just curious if it's ever been done. I know most people go up in size, but maybe someone has done it for winter tires or something.

Before taking it in for an alignment, need to know whether or not both the front toe and the camber are adjustable on this vehicle?
I just got new tires and had an alignment done. The values for the rear were off ... not too much ... but the tech said the rear suspension of the Prius isn't adjustable.
View 1 RepliesRecently I took my '07 Camry Hybrid for a free alignment check since I had never gotten an alignment done before on this car, which I bought used an year back. They found the Left Rear Toe at 0.01 which their system showed to be out of spec. They fixed it and gave me a print out with the before and after as usual. The "after" numbers read:

My question is: is it alright that there's a mismatch between the right and left values? Is there something in the suspension that makes things even even when the right and left individually are at different angles?
I took my 2009 Santa Fe Limited in to Firesteone last Friday. After the oil change and alignment, I drove out without any issues. Current mileage is 61k+.
I was running some other errands and drove about 20 miles to the next destination and parked. Came back within 45 mins and started the car when 2 lights came up on the dash - malfunction indicator lamp and engine oil pressure warning light.
I called the Firestone service center who suggested another location closer to my current position. The guy at the other location checked the error codes with the scanner which came up with P0021 and P0022.
Now, I am not very handy with anything car related and my vehicle is just out of factory warranty by 3 months and 1200 miles. I am concerned that these error codes point to expensive repairs.
Are these issues common in my model? The car seems to run fine. Could this only be the sensors or oil valves?
Assuming the worst case scenario, how long should I be able to drive before immediate need for repairs or without making the issue worse?
Problems getting an alignment AFTER lowering. seems no one in my area has the old fashioned machine where it clamps on the wheel edge,they have the ones that clamp on the outside of the tire,which limits the rotation of the wheel if the body is too close. I am on rsr downs with Vossens,which wont work at all, so hoping the stock wheels will.

I went to go get a wheel alignment (when driving my car starts drifting to the left hard/ also when my hands aren't on wheel) and they discovered that my front left tie rod is wobbly (also said lower ball joint is suspect). I was told they couldn't perform a complete wheel alignment until fixing the front left tie rod first.
Overall to fix/part/wheel alignment, the quote is

My place did an alignment and got all the numbers back into the green. What could be the problem that it is pulling to the right. Also the steering wheels turns a little the the right as well. The tire pressure is perfect and the tires I am running are nitto 555.
View 14 RepliesI got my alignment done today and everyone went into factory specs but the front camber. Both the front left and right are at 1.0. But the thing is that the car pulls to the right and I have to turn the wheel a little to the left to compensate
I have a tanabe spring install with 20x9.0 in the front with nitto 555 245/35/20. And 10.5 with 275/30/20 in the rear.
Do your cars pull to the right? Will the tires wear wrong? The car was back into specs except the cAmber in front.
Parked my car at work and some jackass hit my car and left, fender is the only part showing damage, but somehow my check vsc lights are on and the alignment is way off. Is there anything behind the passenger side fender that would cause this? I'm getting it taken in Monday morning to get it assessed and fixed
