I'm the proud owner of a 08 ES350 with 104,000KM on the clock. I am looking for info on how to remove the sunroof/ dome light panel, I removed the two screws in the sun glasses holder so the front is released but the back seems solid. I removed the bezel around the garage door opener buttons, hoping to find more screws but no. Is it held by clips or is there something I'm missing?
View 3 RepliesI studied various email threads about replacing the internal light bulbs with led and I was able to replace all but the front dome light (not yet attempted rear dome). When I tried removing the front dome panel using a credit card I couldn't insert it. On the side toward the sunroof there is enough room to insert the credit card but it has only one tab. The other sides are so tight that I couldn't get the credit card in.

We all purchased convertibles to let the sun shine in so it seems sad that on those rainy days or snowy days-20 + inches is too much, to not be able to let the light in. Is there any way to add a glass panel to the removable roof? I would even consider putting it longitudinally like the new Nisan Maxima.

View 5 RepliesNothing is more annoying to me than constant rattles and noises in a vehicle. My 2012 Limited Elantra makes a couple of noises that are really annoying. The first is a constant light rattle the seems to come from the dome light area or the sunroof. I haven't been able to pinpoint it, but it drives me nuts. The other noise comes from the back doors area, or maybe the pillars. It happens on both sides, but mostly on the drivers side, and it only happens when the car goes over certain bumps, or when I take a curve a certain way. It almost sounds like a cracking noise. I've heard of glove compartment rattles, but that doesn't seem to happen with my car.

View 1 RepliesI was to leave tomorrow for a trip with three horses. Last night when I parked my truck the dome light went on and off and there was a noise (like a relay opening and closing?) coming from the area. (I have been having issues with the turn signal getting "tired". At times they would only come on solid then other times try would quit after sitting at a long light.)
Checked my manual for fuses to this issue and I removed the fuse in the spot indicated for the "dome and courtesy lights", number 14. Actually I had removed spot number 15 (5amp). This ended the noise. Drove the truck after and all seemed in order, cruise control, turn signals, interior lights! This was the incorrect fuse according to the book! This event occurred with the ignition in the OFF position. Not wanting to start my trip before I get this in order.
I am getting ready to install DVD headrest players in my RX400h. I am stumped on how to remove the read shield of the seat if that makes sence? I believe the are held in by clamps from middle to top but not sure what needs done at the bottome. And I can also feel two straps at the bottom.
How to remove the back so I can run the wires down the seat from the headrests? Pictures? Diagrams?
A couple weeks ago I went home sick from work, doped up on medication. We ran through the drive through for dinner, and it was really cold out. Woke up in the morning to find ALL my windows down and the sunroof open.......and it snowed about 1/4 inch. My wife went with me and she was sober, and swears that all the windows were up when we went in the house. Now, I am at work and had a customer come in and tell me that my windows were down, and the sunroof was open half way. This time I KNOW FOR A FACT that they were up and the sunroof was closed when I parked it.

What caused this leak this is the first time my son said it has ever happen.
View 4 RepliesA few days ago, the dome light stopped coming on when I open any door. If I manually turn the dome light on, it works fine, but of course stays on until I turn the "ON" switch to "OFF" or "DOOR". When in the "DOOR" position, the dome light will not come on. I have checked all the fuses I can find and non are blown. Is there a diode in the circuit? (My KIA has a diode in the door circuit which was bad). Is there a wiring diagram available on line?

View 2 RepliesI have a 2007 Hyundai Accent. The interior dome light won't turn on, the trip mileage recycles every time the car turns on, the feature that won't let the locks lock while the key is in the ignition and the car is off doesn't work (what's that called), and the dashboard clock is dead.
The visor fell off and the two wires that provided the lighting for the visor mirror touched something, and I guess, shorted everything. Is there a fuse(s) I can change or do I need some serious electrical repair?
I have a weird situation with my sf. I start the car normally put in gear then back to park and have radio on and when shutting the car off and removing the key from the ignition. Normally everything goes out and doors unlock, But the radio, clock and dome light stayed on even with the door opened for about 10 to 15 seconds. Then it shuts off completely and unlocks the doors as usual. Did unplug the battery for 1 minute to see if the BCM could be reset and restarted with no avail it keeps acting up. The only thing that I did yesterday was to install the front left rail cover which required some fiddling with the headliner and its dome and vanity lights.

View 8 RepliesSo I noticed I had some wind noise on the highway coming from my sunroof. It was actual wind coming through the dry rotted seals around the glass. Well I got really lucky and a truck kicked something up on the highway and it went right through the glass. Called the insurance company and since glass is covered free in Ma, they shipped an OEM sunroof to the local shop. Got it put in this morning, and it is all quiet again.

View 6 RepliesBefore you all say it, yes I have made sure that the "door" button has been pushed. The front done light will work when I turn on the individual map lights. However when I open the front doors they no longer automatically come on. I am going to bring it to the dealer ( I am assuming it is a faulty "door" switch) just wanted to see what you all thought before I bring it to them.
