I have 2007 ES350. I was driving then check engine light and VSC popped on. I went to autozone then they said p0776 & P0746. The car is still driveable. I can still drive it on the expressway. The shifting from 1-3 isn't smooth. I'm going to take it to a transmission shop.

View 5 RepliesNow, I just bought a 07 Yukon which seems to be in a great condition. The check engine light just popped up so I went to a mechanic and he said the code is p0455.
He did a smoke test and showed me that smoke is coming out of the rear of the vehicle at the gas tank area and the car needs the vent valve solenoid changed, but it's only sold at dealer.
So u went to dealer and got this part and decided to change it myself which was quite easy and fun.
I went back to clear the light, then a week later the light came back on, so I went back to him thinking maybe I didn't do it right, so he did another smoke test and sure enough we see smoke coming out of the rear again, so I looked under the car and saw it was coming out of the end of the vent valve assembly which I think is a small air filter. Is that normal? Or is the part defective?
My 2007 RX350 popped the check engine light. Stopped at an auto parts store and read the codes. They were:
P0300 P0301 P0302 P0303 P0304 P0305 P0306
C0215 C1201 C01223
U0073 UI0123 U0124 U0125
I am most concerned with the P03xx codes. Could this be one common part? I'm on the road about 1500 miles from home.
My 2008 just showed the light at 108,000 kms. Its a long drive to the dealers. My old Hondas would flash a code number in the instrument cluster if I shorted out a pin under the dash. Is there a way to do this with the Fe?
View 6 RepliesI have been having this same problem over and over again. Check engine light comes on with P2127 and P2106 codes. 1st time they said they needed to flash the computer. Worked fine for maybe 6 months and then again. While this is happening you cant go over 2500 rmp with it floored and takes forever to get up to 60-80 kph which is the fastest it will go. Sometimes after starting stopping 5-8 times it will be fine. The second time they replaced the gas pedal because the sensor was deemed bad. Now about 8 months later here up it comes again. This time I was pulling my boat and I thought I wasn't going to make it up the hill. I don't trust this car anymore especially for long trips. So anyway they updated the computer again, and then 4 days later up it comes again. Also inner tie rod ends I have replaced 3, just so you know I only have 52000 kms on this 2008.

Since the RV mirror failed as well apparently the system is not getting the light sensor signal from the mirror and brings up the HL error. Where is the RV mirror fuse? I took off the fuse cover to the left under the steering column but can't find it. It's not practical to unplug and check all 26 fuses, owner manual is useless...
View 6 RepliesThe car was misfiring and the check engine light codes were all sensor coils were bad. Lexus told me that it was coil6 bad and they fixed it. I should have had no problems, I got a whole 2 miles and I misfired and engine light back on. I drove for a while and light went off and then misfired again. Before I bring it back in I was looking for some insight. I can't understand how it wasn't fixed right the first time but I don't want to go back and get a few thousand bill either. Could fixing one coil cause another to go bad.

View 8 RepliesI have a Lexus es300 1995 and lately its been acting crazy. It all started when I had to push the pedal all the way down just to get to 60 mph and when i took my foot off the pedal the car almost stopped completely, would not coast well. Then the check engine light came on. Took it to dealer got codes p0500 and p0720..they said get a new ecm and dash cluster. Got both used from a junkyard. Car drove fine, then check engine light came on again and drove crazy again.
I was told the ecm needed no programming just plug and play ..is this right? Did I get a bad ecm? Coud it be another problem?
Just popped on at exactly 97,600k, What could be some of the potential snafu's? Or is it just more preventative as it needs proper service. Will be taking it to Dealer, but just curious as to what it could be.
View 10 RepliesMy wifes 2007 Santa Fe Limited 3.3 has had a check engine light going on a year now. Car has about 122k on it now. Scanned codes about 6 months ago and had a fuel system lean code. Did some reading and ended up replacing the purge valve. The CEL stayed off til the end of the drive cycle and came right back. I have noticed when you fill the car up there is a real strong smell of gas but the car always starts right up. It now has a P0171 Fuel system too lean (b1) and P2187 Fuel system too lean at idle. Where to start. Don't have much background with hyundai. Also the ESC off light comes on randomly and goes off. Doesn't happen real frequently though.

Recently there has been a series of problems popping up with the Prius. Its a 2003 model year.
- About four nights ago the warning icon and check engine light (picture below) popped up upon engine start-up and i noticed a weird idle. It seemed to idle rough. After about 20 seconds of idling the engine would shut off. After about 10 minutes and 6 or 7 attempts to restart the engine the warning lights disappeared and idle seemed to be restored.
- The afternoon after that the same warning icon and check engine light popped up along with the rough idle. After about 10 minutes and 6 or 7 attempts to restart the engine the warning lights disappeared and idle seemed to be restored.
- After this incident it seems like the vehicle is getting bad gas mileage. The picture below shows me getting an average of 25mpg. I was driving very conservatively. Driving the same way i usually do, i usually get 45-50mpg. The vehicle seems to be charging the battery more than usual.
Have a 2001 V6. Notice a check engine light popped on and thats the code I got. I do have a custom cat back exhaust. Left both cats on there just took out rear muffler and resonator and then put in glass pack. Wondering if this is something that is cause by the catback exhaust? I have had the exhaust on for some time, few hundred miles. How to replace this?

View 1 Replies2 days ago my 2000 Hyundai accent Gl 1.5 stalled while driving i lost no power to my electrical system all my lights and stereo stayed on but i lost all engine power the check engine light popped on and i had to have a friend tow me home this has never happened to me before. I had sat in my yard for about a year before i started driving it again due to money problems. I did a tune up on it before I took it out anywhere and ran some lucas injector cleaner and changed oil added some oil additive and changed my air filter spark plugs seemed fine so I didn't replace them and it ran for almost a month just fine i have about 150k in miles on it then suddenly just died while driving home from work I am thinking its in my fuel lines filter or pump are clogged up but I am not sure. I am going to start diagnosing it tomorrow. I can't get the check engine light looked at cuz I can't get it started.

It is stock and i recently had the check engine light pop up as well as "problem" when car was started and 2 lights with exclamation point, one on a car and ones in lil brackets. I believe it is called a "hybrid malfunction light". Well one day they all pop up and about 3 days later theyre gone. Only thing i did was fill up the tank, when they came on only 1 bar was left on the tank. My question is should i still take it in to see whats wrong with it? and what could of caused both lights to come on?

I usually get about 300 miles to the tank, but now my miliage has dropped significantly. The check engine popped on and off for awhile and now its on steady. The computer reads the error of "Insufficient EGR Flow". My mileage has dropped down to about 240-250.
I've already put a brand new EGR Valve in it. That's the only code the computer reads.
I know my mechanic cleaned out the valve part itself I don't' know if he did anything other then that.
When he put the new valve on the car ran without the check engine light for a day then came back, and if I am not mistaken my gas mileage was back to normal, but since the check engine light has come back on the mileage has dropped back down again.
2005 Dodge Neon SXT 2.0 engine
At first I would have an intermittent jumpy speedo then today it got worse and all of a sudden the check engine light popped on. Got it scanned and had three transmission related codes come on including the gear one incorrect ratio code (can not remember the other three). My first suspect was the VSS output. Replaced the sensor and took it for a test drive; no speedo no shifting. Took it back and and got a new one same issue with the replacement.
The tranny fluid was recently changed just after 203,xxx miles. Believe I am the third owner of this car. Seems to have been well cared for in the past. Recently also did some other work that was not transmission related when I first purchased the vehicle.
I have a 2001 Prius with 210,000 miles. The inverter and traction battery were replaced last year. I started getting triangle and check engine lights about a month ago and the scan tool read p3191 p3006 p0300. The car would barely start in the mornings and the dash lights would be dim. I replaced the 12v aux battery today and all the symptoms went away. Driving home the triangle/check engine light popped on again and I stopped at Orielly's to use their scan tool. It now only reads P3006. I called a local mechanic who suggested to drive it a bit and clear the codes because the battery needed to equalize. Is this true?
