What is the problem and fix when you have a check air conditioner msg scroll across the GPS screen?
View 1 RepliesWhat is the problem and fix when you have a check air conditioner msg scroll across the GPS screen?
View 1 RepliesI had a new compressor installed on '07 ES350 and now every now and then the AC button light blinks, the cool air shuts down and I get a message on the screen saying "Check Air Conditioner".
It only occurs occasionally --maybe not at all one day and two or three times another day. I returned to the shop that installed the compressor and they don't seem to know what is causing the problem. (They said maybe a freon overfill and adjusted that --but it's still occurring.)
I have a 2003 GX470 with 174,000 miles. It continues to be a great vehicle.
Recently my air conditioning system only blows warm air in both the front and rear. When I start the vehicle, the Navigation screen flashes the message "Check Air Conditioner", then the A/C button on the Climate screen flashes.
I have searched the forums and read every post regarding this issue, and it seems that one possible fix is the "magnetic clutch relay", but the link to Sewel Lexus lists this part as belonging to the ES330, and NOT the GX470. There is NO such part listed for the GX470 on that website.
One other post suggested that the author pull the AC error codes, but I don't know how to do that on the GX470.
I recently purchased a used 2004 GX470.
Everything on the Info/Nav Center screen seems to work, at least as far as I know so far, except when I push the "Climate" button, I get the blank screen with the exception of the "Check the connection of the air conditioner" message.
When I got it, the A/C wasn't working, but it was trying. Today I added gas to the system (it was a bit low) and cleaned the cabin air filter (disgustingly dirty, with next to no air movement through it). Now A/C is there! (it is 100+ today!)
To get around the missing climate control screen (and what I assume are controls thereon) I turn on the recirculation button and also the "auto" button, and raise or lower the temperature controls. Heat works when I turn the temp up, A/C tries when I turn it down. But I still get the message on the control screen.
I assume that the control screen for "climate" also includes some widgets for controlling and/or setting options, such as (hopefully) just running the fan without A/C with external air (should I so desire on a cooler day) and stuff like that.
I have seen others fix the similar problems by reconnecting some clips behind the screen, which I can certainly try out, but seems like the other similar problems, when the issue was a wire loom connector behind the screen, that they had other problems, such as the A/C not working.
I THINK all my systems are working, I just can't see the climate control screen. All the other systems (audio, settings, maps (different subject later *L*), etc. all work and seem to display OK, so I don't think it's the screen.
I have a 2006 GS300. Changed out the battery today, and immediately after the AC quit working. Pushing the climate control button reveals the message "Check the connection of the air conditioner".
View 3 RepliesI'm having a very strange problem with my air conditioning unit that the dealer has never seen before. Each time I start up the car, the air conditioner initially fails to turn on. It seems to try to start up for about a minute. The green A/C light comes on, but no air blows out. Then, after about a minute, a message shows up on the nav screen saying "Air Conditioner off". The green light also turns off.
If I then press the A/C button again, the green light comes on, and after about 15 seconds, the air starts to blow and the unit appears to be fine.
This process happens consistently, each and every time I start up the car. The only time it may not go through this cycle is if I just turned the car off within the last few minutes and then start it up again, in which case the air conditioning seems to work fine.
I suspect when I went to the dealer, they did not pay much attention to what was happening the first time they started the car, and then on each successive restart, the symptom failed to reappear because the A/C unit seems to start fine if it was just running within the last few minutes.
Any way to disable the initial start up screen on a 2013+ that tells you "Drive safely and obey traffic rules....." then has a "continue" button to select?
View 5 RepliesAfter installing new battery, I have no functioning air conditioning or heating system. When I select the climate button I get a message (check connection to air condition). What is going on?
View 2 Replies1. I think my battery is getting weak.... when i cranked it, it didnt sound strong and the original battery eye says to add distilled water. I am thinking about getting a replacement battery at Costco.
2. so right after it started, the message of "Check Brake System" shows up. Tried to restart but no go. Drove about 15 miles and all seems fine but message is still there.
* is it OK to replace with a Costco brand battery (they have a great returns policy) and is there anything i need to do before or after replacement?
* could the Check Brake System be due to the weak battery? How can I reset it?
* Anything else that can cause this error message?
Started the car this morning- and got a message. "Check parking brake system" .
The Auto button for the parking brake seems to flicker, and the park light on the dash blinks. Car make ding sound while driving.
2008 LS460
I can be driving down the road and "blam", the "check parking assist" comes on my nav screen. This message screen comes on and goes off all the time. It comes on when I am not around anything close. I had the parking assist sensors checked and every thing checked out OK. Could this a an electrical problem? If it becomes irritating, I just turn the parking assist off.
View 3 RepliesYesterday after coming to a stop and pressing the start/stop button, the vehicle wouldn't turn off. Eventually I got it to turn off (by pressing the button).
After I got it to turn off, I pressed the start button and it does not turn on. I get a message saying "Check VSC" . 1 click from under the hood and that's it. All power is there. Radio/AC/etc all work. Not brand new, but the battery is fully charged.
Trying to diagnose and fix the issue myself before calling for a flatbed to come and pick it up.
I dont think its the starter since I've had issues turning it off. What it might be? Its an '07 with 65k miles.
I am having a gen 3 prius and yesterday when I am driving on a humpy road.(village side road) i got this message on the prius hybrid indicator screen, with orange color engine light and orange color triangle warning light. But still i can drive the vehicle and it charge the hybrid battery and everything going OK. I got really got fuel economy too after getting the warning message. Only thing is the message is appearing every time at the screen, What should i do now.
View 5 RepliesOne of my taillights stopped functioning last night on my drive home. The "check lights" message came up on screen, accompanied by a loud warning chime. However, it wouldn't stop. It kept flashing "check lights" over and over, and kept repeating the chime every few seconds for my entire ride home.
This morning, everything seems to be OK. The taillight is still out, but it's not chiming repeatedly (at least for now). What caused my Phaeton to freak out like that?
A mechanic at the Lexus dealer showed me how to reset (remove) the oil change warning message on the gps screen. It has something to do with pushing the A/B odometer buttons when the engine is not running. Unfortunately I did not write it down nor do I remember it.
View 10 RepliesI have Lexus 460 LS L 2007. Few months back changed the battery and every thing was ok. 2 months after I had problem in the sound system ( radio and dvd ) which was on and off. One month back suddenly I had all the warning lights in the dashboard on with massage saying that that the brake system is malfunctioning and check the ABS system.
I took the car to LEXUS dealer and they reprogrammed the computer abd then every thing went back to normal and the problem fixed. Two days after I had these warning lights again with the same massege. I do not know what to do ??
I have a 2004 rx330 and it's recently been acting up. Sometimes the heat and air won't work, there is a noticeable difference in the way the car drives too.
I hit climate and it shows check air conditioner connection line and nothing works, it's making for very cold drives to and from work.
I have an issue with my a/c. The left side blows out air but it is not cold. The right side is cold. The whole front dash has 4 vents total so the left two does not blow out cold air at all.
View 14 RepliesSo i just bought my lexus es350 2007 and I just realized that my driver's side doesn't blow cold air unlike the passenger's side i tried to google it and then i believe as i read on here its the blender door.
View 5 RepliesSometimes when I startup I get the message "Air Conditioner Off". This has only been happening for the past few weeks and never before. I wonder why now and not before. Have 22,600 miles.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2003 GX with DVD & NAV. The DVD gives me a message on the rear screen that says "Disk Check" and then never plays the disk. I tried multiple disks and am pretty sure the DVD unit is toast. Looking forward to replace the DVD unit in the center console?
