The clear cover on the directional signal on the right rear view mirror was smashed in a parking lot. I have purchased the replacement part but am looking for instructions as to how to replace it.

I have a 2007 Prius, a replacement mirror, and the desire to fix it myself. I just do much better if I can visual the job at hand.
View 4 RepliesWe were following an RX350 the other night, it was a later model as the rear wiper was hidden, and I noticed it had turn signal lights at the outboard edge of the side view mirrors. Is this a 2015 thing or something we missed on the 2014?
Might not be enough to trade up for but something I hope continues into the Gen 4 models as it is a feature I like.
The plastic cover on the left front interior light came off; it is mostly intact but the small plastic tab in the inside (where the lightbulb is) is broken. It seems to be attached to the whole mechanism.
View 3 RepliesNot the typical "why don't they drop down" question. Mine do drop down in reverse. Any way to only drop the passenger side mirror? I strongly dislike my driver's mirror dropping down.
I frequently find and park in a space with a curb to the right of the car. And I park close to it to leave maximum space to the car to my left. In order to minimize the door dinging potential. I like the RH mirror to drop so I can put the tires like an an inch or so to the curb.
But I very rarely ever curb park to the left side. It makes it too difficult to get out of the car.
That being said, I look for obstacles out my LH & rear view mirror. I can't see obstacles when the LH mirror is pointing at the ground. Yes, I look at the screen in the car also.
Any way to change this? I have not found a setting in the customizable setting menu for this.
How to access the bulb that is under the under side mirror. The puddle light I believe?
View 3 RepliesWell I took the GX into a rough part of town in and literally left the car parked for 30 minutes, and I come back to find the drivers side mirror missing. Good news is, the thieves unplugged it, dare I say professionally and I have no ripped or spliced wires, everything is in tact. I found a mint condition mirror on ebay and bought it for a fraction of the cost the stealership would charge, however as simple as it looks, it is a bit difficult to snap the mirror onto the white plastic piece. I do not want to apply too much pressure and crack the mirror from the front. Any hacks on an easier way to put it in?
View 7 RepliesWhen i first got my rx350 the auto angling side mirrors always worked, When i put the car in reverse it would automatically go down, so i could see where the curb was. Now after a couple of months it stopped working, every time i went reverse the mirrors won't angle down. What's the problem?

Do I have to replace the entire housing? The mirror still tilts and moves properly.
The side passenger mirror on my 2008 Lexus LS460 will not unfold once the car has been in Park. The mirror still tilts but I must get out of the car and walk around to "unfold" or straighten side view mirror when I put it in Drive.
View 1 RepliesCame out to find my drivers mirror had been ran into by someone walking by and now the mirror won't retract. You can hear the gear moving, but the housing doesn't move. The mirror works just fine, just the folding action is not working. Before I remove the door panel to remove the mirror assy, can you replace the gear inside or do you have to replace the entire assy?

On a 2007 Camry CE i4. My air intake box broke, either age or the mechanics that worked on my car broke it. And ones on ebay cost 100+ dollars. Either a customer cai will be cheaper, or the junk yard. I know a cai does nothing but changes the sound of your car.

Not sure what the proper name for the part is, but it is the clear plastic signal cover that has broken in half. the light still illuminates properly, but the cover is broken. I only need a driver-side, and I would like it to have the convex outside portion like it does now. That said, I wouldn't mind getting new glass for both sides.
View 24 RepliesI have a new 2015 RX 350 and the side view mirror quit folding when I turn off the car. The auto light is turned on. It will work when I utilize the manual switch and it will open when I use the auto switch, but it won't close when I park the car and shut it off. Is there something I'm doing wrong or some other item I need to set?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2009 Honda Civic with powered retractable side view mirrors. Unfortunately one of the mirrors is broken and is perpetually trying to retract (or unfold). Aside from the motor constantly running the mirror functions fine. I looked into replacing the mirror assembly with a new replacement part but noticed that none of the replacement parts feature a blinker on the front cover of the assembly, as the original does. I assume that the wiring is not present in the replacement part so swapping in the old cover would not be sufficient.
Is the scrap yard route for finding a replacement part my best option? Is there an easy way to disable the motor without disabling the other features (the blinker and power tilt adjustment)?
