Running the A/C for 20-30, I notice the fan not blowing at all even setting the speed to high. I hear something blocking the duct work. I stopped for lunch and when I came back I notice water still pouring out from the A/C
Huge puddle, almost cover half the car. Checked the fluid and confirm it was water. Where is the drain and what can I do?
I have a 2002 B5.5 Passat sedan. 140K.
Inside my passat, when I run my heater on #1 speed setting there is a high pitched squeak but it goes away on the #2 speed setting. It hasn't been a constant annoyance but enough to want me to fix it now. [URL]....................
My water drain valve in my gas cap isn't draining and must be clogged or something. I tried sticking a paper clip down it but that didn't do it. How to unclog this or get to it?

Also my car air vents smells. Tried to clean it twice with Klimaclean foam spray but both times, no water came out from under the car.
I've come to the conclusion that the drain plug is clogged. Where he drain plug is located? It's easier for me to look for it if I kind of have a general location rather than to search the entire car.
2010 RX450h, 63k miles. Noticed a bad smell, we thought it might be spilled milk or something, but now I've found that the carpet is wet. Worst under the front seats, but also the mats and under the mats, front and back. Probably worse on the passenger side.
I've read that this might be due to a clogged a/c drain line. I've noticed, though, that there is definitely water dripping underneath the car...I think from where the drain line would be (the dripping is a bit forward of the glove compartment). The thing is, it is still dripping now some 3 hours after the car was last driven. Specifically, I drove from about 10a-11a, then again from 2:45p-3:45p. Noticed dripping beneath the car, maybe a drop every 1-2 sec, 2.5 hours after the last drive ended. Now more like 3 hours after the last drive, the dripping has slowed. I'm wondering, does the dripping mean that maybe my a/c drain line is fine? Or does is the extended dripping time unusual, maybe indicating a partial clog and water then getting into the car?
If it might be the a/c drain hose, can I access it from the engine compartment, and then how to unclog it? I don't want to jack up the car and go underneath...would rather take it to a dealer than do that.
For the past couple of days i've had condensation on the windshields during cold mornings and nights and thought something was up. I looked around and found the carpet on the driver's side of my car is damp and there was a puddle of water directly underneath the seat. I've read it might be a clogged AC drain or something like that. Some solutions seem to be either blowing the AC drain underneath the car with compressed air to get rid of a clog, or finding the tube inside the car and properly reconnecting it incase it got dislodged or kinked somehow. Or does this sound like a different problem? Again only the driver's side carpet seems to be wet.
View 1 RepliesI seem to be having a leak occuring from somewhere within the engine compartment, as I see beads of water dripping into the driver side and passenger side carpets. It only occurs when I turn the fan/A/C on.
This is leading me to believe that the evaporator drain is clogged, the only issue is: Where is it exactly located? I'm looking near the passenger side firewall within the engine compartment for a small black rubber hose, but I can't seem to find it. Is it further down underneath the firewall?
To add insult to injury, the VSA, traction control and check engine light both turned on today. I'm not sure if this is the result of persistent water leaking and causing something to short (I don't really know how water has been leaking for) but what could've caused that?
Is it true that if your drain lines are clogged water will backflow to the relay in the fuse box?
View 3 RepliesIve got a 99 F250 (5.4 if that matters), after a good long rain like the one we had this weekend, when I drive the truck I get water splashed on the passenger floorboard. It hold enough water that if I rock the truck side to side I can hear it sloshing. I am wondering if there is a common drain for these things that gets clogged. When my a/c runs I get a nice puddle under the truck so it looks like that is not clogged up, and I didn't know if they were the same drain or not.
View 11 RepliesI have a Gen II problem with my air conditioning. The air conditioning works; however, the air is stuck blowing in the defrost setting. I think there is some problem with the Air Mix Servo. In my non Prius cars they called the part a blend door actuator. Long story short, the air will not move to the front vents or anywhere else. That said, I can't hear the servo moving at all.

View 19 RepliesI have a 99 Olds Intrigue GLS. Going on 163k miles. She has been pretty good with the common fixes for this model. I decided to replace my upper and lower Coolant Hoses before I took a long trip. Everything went OK until I tried to use my AC later that day.
During my Coolant change out I did indeed start the car multiple times and eventually I disconnected the battery to reach a hose.
Now, when I turn on the AC, the Blower motor does not directly respond to my dash board speed control. The little bars indicating higher speed changes up and down as normal, but the blower doesn't change with it. Also, I can SOMETIMES get it to change speeds by turning the speed all the way up then back down a few clicks etc...Currently, when I turn on the car the AC does kick in under the hood, but the blower stays off.
Something fishy going on. I decided to disconnect the battery again and see if anything "reset". No Luck. I think it coincidental that it happened during my Coolant change out...
About 11 months ago I had hard shifting with the 2000 Intrigue.. Local Tranny shop diagnosed P1811 and replaced the pressure control solonoid. Then about 10,000 miles later problem occurred again. Transmission shop said they would either redo the solenoid or rebuild the transmission. I asked for a new solenoid.
Now today I'm having P1811 again. Clear it for a week and it comes back. Transmission is going into high pressure mode making driving very harsh.
PCS Solenoid shows operation at 60% duty cycle with approximately 1 volt signal. Shifting times are about 0.4-0.5 whenever I have a scan tool on it. What is reasonable shift times for the 4T65E?
2008 6.4L .... My ECT 191-197 and EOT 220-230 high side on interstate no load on truck air temp 70 degrees. Is this a sign thermostat failing. Is there a certain temp to determine if your cooler is fully clogged or just partially clogged? I plan on doing a flush with restore then restore plus. Is there any point in using restore with temps this high. Or do I have to break down and buy the half kit to bypass OEM oil cooler? I need this fixed ASAP hauling the RZR to arkansas in a week. I know ill mess something up if i try to pull a load with those temps.

View 10 Replies2002 Dodge Ram 3500 van (engine unknown, but I think it doesn't matter). Blower operate only at highest speed setting. OK, that's the classic symptom of a failed resistor. Replacements are readily available at chain parts stores.
Where is the resistor located? This video shows me for a 2002 Ram 1500 van. Will it be the same on the 3500?
I've learned here that sometimes resistor failure results from bearings going bad in the blower, causing excessive current draw. Is there a way to test that other than with an ammeter? What's the correct current?
2a. If the blower motor is going bad, is that something we'll be able to replace ourselves? (Yes, I should tell them to get a Haynes or Chilton.) I don't like the idea of taking off dashboard panels.
2b. Is there any other "prime cause" I should look for if the blower motor seems OK?
Are there any other parts (other than the switch) whose failure would also give that symptom?
When I have the A/C blower going at 5 which is high setting the Airflow Makes a swooshing effect. it still blows air and is cold but fluctuates to a swooshing effect. Also when the car is at idle I hear a faint thumping sound that comes and goes from the passenger side under the dash?

View 13 RepliesI've got a 2006 SD Lariat, 6.0. The fan only comes on when turned to high. The display moves when the fan speed button is pressed, but nothing from the fan until high. I don't really know anything about the operation of these things, whether they run on a vacuum, or electric, or??? I'm not sure where to start with it.
View 14 RepliesI have a 1990 E250 and the heat does not blow. I have only had the van a year and it somewhat worked when I got it, but at the end of least winter It stopped blowing. It does not matter what setting I have it on low or high. if I turn the defrost on and put my hand on the dash I can feel warm air but it does not blow. It is the same for the vent, I can feel warm air coming out but does not blow. Sometimes if I hit a bump it seems like it will blow a bit harder but not like it should. My question is, should I just replace the blower motor, or is there something else I should check first?
View 4 RepliesMy 2010 Expedition Limited AC seems to be stuck in the highest fan speed setting. Changing the setting on the panel control do nothing to change the speed. But you can adjust the temp and it will respond. It is a dual control unit. When I try to turn the system to off completely it will go to what I believe is the vents and stay on full blast. If I turn the truck off and on again the whole system remains off until I turn it on again. The only way to turn it completely off is to turn it to off mode and turn the truck off.
