View 14 RepliesI have a 2007 Ford Expedition with approx 135k miles with a 5.4. At approx 45 miles per hours it starts shaking and shuttering. It feels almost like you ran over one of those traffic bumps. I've had quite a few issues I've been working so I recently changed all my plugs with motorcraft platinum and all new COPs.
When I am going approx 45 miles per hour it will shutter for about 1-2 seconds with overdrive on. You can almost time it that it will do it every 4 seconds. With overdrive off, you can feel something dragging down the engine and hear a light grinding noise or a mechanical sound but the shuttering is less. I feel there is something definitely cycling approx every 4 seconds.
When i am doing heavy acceleration I feel that it has adequate power and now that I've replace the plugs/cops I don't feel any significant misses etc under hard acceleration (before I changed the plugs/cops I did feel misses).
So I've got some creaking going on at low speeds only over small bumps. Sounds like it's coming from the passenger rear area. It's an 08 with just under 28k miles. I'm not noticing any issue indicating the strut being blown, it's just an annoying creaking. I didn't realize how noticeable it was outside the car until driving through a parking garage with the windows down on Friday.

View 14 RepliesI have swapped out my 2008 Headlights for 2012 LED ones. However, the LED strip is not coming on. I followed the below thread and grounded that green wire as shown, and ran the red wire to the ig2 fuse box on the drivers side and nothing. i also tested it from the battery and nothing as well.
View 14 RepliesI've had my ISF for almost a year now but I'm just now noticing that the navigation screen on my 08 does not darken the colors when the headlights come on. The map still shows up bright white and can be distracting.
Is there a setting I am missing somewhere to change this to black with orange accents instead when the headlight low beams are on, or is it just supposed to be white on the map view all the time? My wife has a 2014 ES and it does this automatically. Come to think of it, every other car I've had that had navigation did this automatically. I tried searching but couldn't find any threads on this already.
I was heading to the gym tonight and noticed that when I had my headlights on the nav screen stays white and does not go into the dark mode it is supposed to with the headlight on. I pressed the display button and there was no indication that there was an option to go back and fourth between day and night mode as usual . Only the option to adjust brightness and contrast. I do have the option to turn off the screen but this is annoying.
View 6 RepliesI don't know what's going on with my power windows control on the driver door. Auto up/down function is not working. It cannot roll passenger windows up or down. I checked the other 3 doors and the switches worked. I don't know where to look!
View 8 RepliesI have a 99 F150 4x4 it recently started shaking badly on the front end at about 40mph but levels out at about 45 to 50 mph or if slowed back down to 35mph. I can't find anything worn or loose except the sway bar bushings are completely gone on both driver and passenger sides. I have read about the "death wobble" but can't find anything else worn out! I can do most all repairs and checks myself.
View 2 RepliesNoticed the seat shaking when at highway speeds or when you go over bumps in the road? When my seats are empty, they shake and make an annoying rattle, shakey noise. I had them looked at by Hyundai and was told that there was nothing that Hyundai was going to do to fix them. After battling that for a while, Hyundai did reimburse me a car payment for me to "live with it" and, quite frankly, to shut me up.
View 5 RepliesI recently purchased a 2011 Subaru Outback and I'm having difficulty seeing out the back window when I'm parallel parking or backing up. The rear window is up high and narrow. I use the side mirrors as much as I can, but feel disoriented when I can see the car behind me. I've checked out some camera systems online, but I haven't see great reviews for them. I also contacted Subaru to see if I could get one installed after market, as they only included their rear view mirror camera on the high end Limited edition that included the moon roof which I didn't want, but they can't install it after market.

View 6 RepliesI had a question regarding the rear sunshade. Currently my sun shade is stuck in the middle position and it is very annoying and also is reducing my visibility in my rear view mirror because the bar is in the middle of my view. I took it to my local dealer and they said just to put it in the lower position would cost $800-1000. Does this seem fair ? I didn't break it, and why should I have to pay for something that is a malfunctioning part. The worst part is my rear view mirror is also turning black in the inside of the mirror also reducing my visibility ?
View 11 RepliesRecently picked up a certified '14 IS 350. Noticed a quite regular 'creak' or 'rubbing' like noise when going over bumps and such, emanating from my left ear area of the car. If i open the window slightly these noises essentially go away. I'm guessing the closing of the window tweaks the door frame which tweaks the sealing of the door... And so the noise of probably the seals rubbing in just the wrong way. (Not thrilled that this is occurring in a car of Lexus' quality reputation).

Really want to keep the lowered look and in fact I want to lower the rear 5mm more. Thinking of changing to 255 in place of the 265 for the rear.
I just picked up a 2010 f150 xtr 4x4 few weeks ago and I notice the bed shake is pretty bad when hitting small bumps int he road. I watch in my rear view mirror and it seems the drivers side is doing all the shaking, and the passenger side of the box seems solid (minimal movement like a truck should). It only shakes on bumps and does not increase with speed or anything so im assuming its Not my tires? I can literally feel the shaking in my feet in sync as i watch the box rattle in my rear view. Also look at my passenger seat and it looks like a vibrating chair, an extreme one.
I got under the truck everything looks solid, checked all the bed bolts are tight, i honestly have no clue at this point. I use to have a 2000 ranger and honestly I find the box shake on my new 2010 is just as bad as my old truck. My brother and cousin both have 2011 f150's and i find theres to ride alot nicer than mine. My truck is a supercab and theirs are crew cabs, however i don't see it making that big of a difference in ride? Checked tire pressures i have 30lbs in the back tires and 35 in the front. Like it said its only on bumps, doesn't start shaking on a smooth road, so im expecting some sort of bad suspension component?

I have a 2013 F150 with 80,000km+ Original front brakes. When I am driving around and hit any bumps, I can hear a rattle. A slight pedal will make the noise go away.
The pads still have lots of life in them, so besides replacing them, what can I do? Or, is it actually something else? I have a 100,000km warrentee.
I just bought a 2014.5 Camry SE and the day I drive it off the lot I noticed it shaking at around 40mph. I made an appt. fort the following week and they said the found all 4 tires had flat spots so they replaced all with 4 new tires. Well, about a week later the shaking started again. Now it's worse than before, especially at higher speeds. I dropped it off today.
