At random times already happened twice, when i try to close my sunroof it doesn't close all the way. Right when its about to close it just opens back up. Obviously when i try to take it to the dealer it works fine. I was able to capture a video on my phone explaining and showing whats happening...

View 2 Replies2014 Camry XLE. When you press the close button, sometimes the sunroof will make it about halfway and then go back open. However, if you press the close button quickly several times and sort of shimmy the sunroof closed, it will close. Nothing is obstructing it.
View 3 RepliesMy wife has a 08 F-150 LIMITED and at random times gets a raw fuel smell through the air conditioner ducts. It will happen after we fill it up and it will happen @ a 1/2 tank. No smell under the hood and no visible leaks from anywhere. Pretty important issue to me.
View 8 RepliesMaybe a week or so ago my F's sunroof at high speeds (65-80) has started rattling. Sounds like there is something loose, and it is clanking on another part. I will be taking it to a dealership or auto shop to have it repaired, or fixing it myself if it is something minor. And its not just a one off rattle, it is constant when at those speeds. Had a two hour drive yesterday and it was driving me crazy.
View 12 RepliesHave noticed since I had my car that I have a mild sunroof rattle. If I push on the rear right corner of the sunroof glass I have feel a little bit of play. This play is causing rattling on bumpy roads. I had the same issue on my 07 GS350 because it was slammed ( rode pretty ruff like the ISF), but I cant remember what they did to fix the issue. I am assuming it needs some insulation or tightening. Pretty sure with the way the ISF rides and the number of members we have with lowered ISF that I am surely not the only member with this rattle.
View 14 RepliesMy 2008 has about 49k miles on her and my Moonroof started acting up the other day. The tilt function works perfectly. It even slides out to max open, however when I attempt to close it, it closes about 2/3 of the way then it acts as if it senses something in the way and opens all the way back up. I didn't take anything apart, but didn't notice anything in the rails. I also didn't hear any sort of grinding or stalling on the motor. If the motor is going bad?
View 2 RepliesSo I found out this afternoon that I have a leaking sunroof. Water has been draining into the rear driver's side passenger area and has soaked my carpet under my seat. And had standing water under my rear seat in the tray next to the fuel pump access.
I found that the drain tubes can become clogged allowing for water to spill over or seep out. And sending some compressed air up the tube will clear it. But I do not know where the tube exits.
I unfortunately cannot pull the interior apart the weekend because I have drill. So it will have to wait until next weekend to gut her again. I will also pull the headliner to check the condition of the tube.
Drove my 2004 Volvo S60 today and open the sunroof this morning. I made 4 stops and shut the car off but let the sunroof open because it was a nice day and did not lock it since I was as buddies house and we were outside. Drove back home about 12 miles and parked the car and before I hout the engine down I tried to close the sunroof and nothing. Checked fuse 34 (15 amp) and replaced it and still nothing.

View 8 RepliesI have been unsuccessful in closing the power sunroof from outside the car with the key fob. In my previous VWs and my current A4 I have the ability to do it with the key by turning to the right. The manual says to hold the lock button down??!! How long do I have to hold it down??

View 5 RepliesSo my friend was driving her car and the sunroof won't close. When it gets to the end of the track, it opens itself back up again. We found a piece sitting on the right-hand track but don't see anyplace where it would fit. It's Saturday pm on a holiday weekend and no place is open.

This morning the sunroof on our 04 Wagon freaked out and now will not close, or go back into the roof. It is stuck about 1/2 lifted. Each time you move the dial it tries to close, then goes right back to 1/2 open. Nothing appears to be stuck anywhere in the mechanisms and we were driving while it happened.

I think that the pinch protection was the culprit because it started to close and would open when there was about a 3 inch gap. It never closed but when I drove away and tried it again in motion it closed.
View 24 RepliesSo it has been quite cold around here the past couple of weeks. I was driving my Tig the other day to grab some food. My buddy wanted to see how far my sunroof opens. It opened no problem. But then when I tried to close the sunroof, it got just about closed and then reversed to open all the way. It took me about 6 times of opening all the way and then trying to close until it finally closed. My thought is maybe a piece of ice got stuck and made the system think something was on the track?
