View 9 Repliesjust recently installed the new X force exhaust system on my 2008 ISF with 72,000 miles on it. I've had the exhaust on the car for about 300 miles it when I was driving home from work today the vsc and check engine light pops up. I turn the car off when I got home and then turned it back on the check engine light was off but the stored Code was still there when I read it with the scanner P0420. I'm thinking maybe there's an exhaust leak even though it sounds fine.
View 14 RepliesI have a 2014 F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab 8' bed XL trim package with the standard am/fm/cd without sub woofer stereo. I don't have steering wheel controls. I'm looking to install an aftermarket navigation stereo (double-din) with a backup camera. I am having a very hard time finding a wiring harness or a dash install kit. I've searched both 2013 and 2014 but haven't found anything.
In addition, the guy at my local car toys told me that the accessory power in the wiring harness is only 5v for the stereo, and that because of that they have to splice into my wires to get a true 12v accessory power for my stereo to power on. I'm not a big fan of splicing into factory wiring harness to install an aftermarket stereo on a truck that has barely 1000 miles on it.
Having problem after installing 15mm spacers. Cleaned the hub with sandpaper and re-torqued but still getting somewhat wobbling on flat roads.
View 14 RepliesI had my local race shop install my new PPE headers and how I have a rubbing and grinding sound while taking right turns. They have had the car for a few extra days and they say they cant seem to find the cause of the problem. It rattles on a pot hole, it grinds on right turns and sometimes vibrates on highway cruise control driving.
View 14 RepliesI could not find a picture of the 2013+ SFS headlight harness connector. I'm trying to wire a 6 ohm resistor across the turn signal as my LED upgrade is causing the fast flash problem(I expected this). The only place I can tap into that circuit is probably the headlight harness, preferably through the connector. I tried to measure the voltage on the connector, but the contact is too small and narrow for the probe to make physical contact. I even tried to put a cutout paper clip into those tiny holes, but still no dice. The wire colors are different between driver and passenger side, and the Sonata forum was indicating it is the top right corner for the positive lead of the turn signal. Which wire is the + & - for the turn signal.

View 10 RepliesVoice command feature not responding to your voice input. I have noticed that after send saying a few voice commands like setting up an address for Navigation (city, street, number etc) the system seems to stop recognizing that I saying a command. I push the voice command and the system will respond with "Say a command", to which I would say a command but the system doesn't seem to either hear me speak or respond to my command. It seems as if the microphone has stopped working or else the voice recognition system has hung up.
Mine is a 2012 Mark Levinson Nav system.
2008 ISF. Has made whining sound (like a supercharger) off and on since '11 and 30k miles. Clearly coming from accessory belt system.
Having read this forum I assumed it was the tensioner, and finally replaced it last week @ 52k. Spun all pulleys by hand and all felt/sounded fine. Actually the old tensioner seemed fine too, even the belt- no cracks or wear, so I didn't replace belt at first, just tensioner.
Well new tensioner reduced the sound just a little, but still there at times, so I replaced the belt with a goodyear gatorback and that made the whine worse than ever. So I put the old belt back on, and am currently still dealing with some whine,
I don't have another ISF to compare to, but it can't be normal. It's not loud in cabin, my friends don't think anything of it, but I hear it and it's embarrassing.
Since I cant hear or feel an issue with any of the pulleys, is there a logical order in which I should start replacing them? I'm at a loss as for what to do next. I can't pinpoint where noise originates since it only occurs under load while I'm driving, but it's certainly from the accessory belt system.

View 7 RepliesOver the past few days I've been working on the car, a Canadian 2014 Elantra L 6-speed, in an attempt to install the keyless entry system into it.
- I found a wiring diagram online and for the most part its been working, gotten the tail lights/siren and just about every feature working excluding the doors themselves locking and unlocking.
From what I can tell, in order to get the mechanism to operate correctly a relay is needed and needs to be hooked up into, correct me if I'm wrong as the car isn't with me currently, Plug A and B (59 Pin and 24 Pin). However no matter the amount of configurations I have tried, it just will not work.
*Do not care for the trunk opening operation.
**The system I currently have is a Spy la-3 Pke keyless system.
Installing a LCD DVD on a '06 F250 w/ sunroof? I have a F250 on order and frankly it frustrates me that I couldn't order a factory dvd player from Ford. I am hesitant to take this in and get done at an aftermarket shop since the sunroof potentially adds some complication to the install.
BTW, one of the conditions my kids (8 and 10 yr old) gave me for getting rid of my Expedition was getting the new truck with DVD.
1999 F250 ... I am going to upgrade my stock radio with a Double Din touch screen unit. I have read that there is some modifying to the dash to get these units in? What is involved?
Features I am looking for.
Touch Screen
Bluetooth
DVD/CD
Rear view camera ready
Aux jack
I have looked at Pioneer AVH units...
I installed some 5K HID's with 35W ballasts and a relay on my 15 toyota camry SE. When I start the system, it says check charging system and once the engine starts it goes away. I initially had 50W ballasts installed but I changed it to 35W as the 50W caused the HIDs to be too bright for my taste.

View 14 RepliesI have had a problematic navigation system that loses it way some times (loss of GPS signal). However it worked for sometime without problems till I dent my rear left side and had to be in the shop. I guess they disconnected the batteries and now the unit has stopped working. This is the relevant VCDS output. Most importantly I checked the adv measure feature to find the following statuses
CD ROM OK
GPS Antennae OK
Available Satellites 8
Satellites in view 0
GPS Status None
This was a clear day and so the unit is not picking up the satellites. However VCDS output shows no faults or anything.

I pushed the handsfree button on the wheel today and said "Call". System responded after a bit with "No Network Signal". I tried to dial via the nav screen and it tried connecting for a bit and then just stopped. I was streaming music via bluetooth without a problem.
