There was an android OS upgrade last week, and now my phone won't pair to my F. It won't pass phone or media. I tried deleting and requiring, no luck. What to do?

View 1 RepliesI've had my '16 GTI for about a month now and the Bluetooth is driving me nuts. Every time I get in the car, the radio initiates a pairing request to my phone and I have to manually acknowledge that the PIN matches and hit Allow a few times to exchange contacts and other messages.
What am I missing? When I turn the car off, the VW radio immediately disappears from my phone's list of paired devices.
I'm about ready to go back to the dealership and demand a new radio. This is nuts.
I'm actually fairly pleased with Android Auto, but I think this flaky BT issues is disrupting my AA from connecting smoothly.
I have an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6 that is about 3 months old.
We have a 2010 IV and a 2012 pip. My Android phone will pair and connect with the 2010. It pairs with the 2012, but the 2012 will then say "Connect Failed" when my phone is selected. My wife has an iPhone which pairs and connects to both cars. My phone uses Bluetooth 4.0 profiles. And after pairing I've limited it to telephone audio only. I've deleted and repaired countless times with the same result.
View 2 RepliesI have had the same android cell phone for over 3 years and have had my 13 GS350 for the same with no problems before..
In the last month whenever I get into my car the Bluetooth in my car does not recognize my phone. I have to turn off my Bluetooth from my phone and turn it back on. No problem then for the rest of the day. Everything works ok until the next morning.
Is the problem with my phone or with my car?
I have an android phone (Motorola Atrix 4G), and it bluetooth syncs fine with my Prius C One, however when I am driving on the freeway, it will occasionally disconnect for several minutes, then reconnect. It's annoying because I use my phone as my personal Ipod and I can't stand listening to the radio, and without fail, every-time I drive in heavy traffic, it will disconnect and I'll have silence for a few minutes till it reconnects. I can't upgrade my phone till February and I plan to get an Iphone, but for the time being I guess I'll have to use an Auxiliary cable instead of bluetooth.

View 7 RepliesOk, so I just purchased my first Lexus (2008 GS 350 - 46K miles) and I'm having issues syncing my contacts with the car. The phone syncs. What am I doing wrong, is there some function on the phone I don't know about?? I've also read there might be issues with the Galaxy S4, is this true, if so, how can I get it to work?? Short of buying a new phone!!
View 12 RepliesI'm not fully satisfied with the quality of sound - especially from rear speakers. The sound from rear is much inferior to the sound from front speakers. I'm NOT looking at replacing the factory stereo.

View 14 RepliesI have the standard Audio (not Mark Levison) and want a little more mid and highs out of the side door speakers. I've already maxed out the audio settings for treble and the dash speakers are doing their job to my taste. I just think the side speakers can do just a bit more.
I don't want to replace the head unit, ad additional amplification, equalizer, nor any custom fabrication, at least just not yet. Thought starting with the door speakers would be a 1st step.
I'm presuming the FRONT door speakers are 6 1/2" (at least the mounting holes) so a common 6 1/2" aftermarket speaker would work. Just swap out. Correct? I'm thinking of something like the Infinity 6502ix co-axials with adjustable tweeters for all four doors.
I recently went up in size on my tires after installing a Leveling kit. Today for the first time since I had to take a long trip and was checking my speed against what the GPS was stating.. there is about a 8mph difference.
So if the truck says 65, the GPS was saying 73/74, and the faster I went the bigger the difference got.. so if the truck said 70, I was going closer to 79/80
I know that there needs to be some adjustments made so it read correctly again, just wondering if there is also some adjustments that can be made to get the RPM's down at cruising speeds also..
In the past when I would do around 70 or 75, the RPM's would be around 1500 to 1700, now im staying steady at 2000.
What am I looking at to get back to somewhat normal again?

View 14 RepliesI have recently leased a 2014 VW Wolfsburg Edition Passat. It has the carnet feature on it. I am currently experiencing that my phone is not playing through my Bluetooth setting. I will listen to either spotify, or Pandora. When listening to the streaming music the car will play one song and when it goes into the next song it stops playing all together through the Bluetooth, however it is still playing on the phone. I took it in to the dealership where I got it to service this issue and was given a loaner car. I could play the Bluetooth in the 2013 passat with no issues....but get in my car and it will wither play one or nothing at all! They are saying that there is something in my phone causing this issue. For it to work in my old car no problem, which was a 2011 Jetta, and the 2013 with no problems. So I have a hard time seeing it has to do with my phone. So ok n my phone I did a factory reset....and went back out to the car...and it is still just playing one song and then stopping.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2014 Passat S 2.5 that I drove for a few months before I bought a Tahoe and my wife now drives the Passat. While I had it, it was paired to my phone. However, now that she drives it, every morning when she starts it, my phone buzzes because it's trying to make a connection. I read the manual back and forth, and I found out how to remove it, but unfortunately the MFD display in the middle of the instrument cluster isn't showing any phone info like the manual suggests. I also only have one set of steering wheel buttons, not both. So with this limitation, how in the world do I remove my phone from the stereo pairing?

View 3 RepliesSince yesterday I have no longer been able to stream Pandora. When I try to load Pandora it just buffers endlessly, finally saying Pandora was unable to load. So tried to just stream it off my phone through BT, Pandora failed to load on my phone. Thought maybe the app on my phone broke, but it loads on my phone just fine when not synced to my car.
View 3 RepliesI have a Galaxy S5 (Android 5.0) phone that I've paired with my 2014.5 Camry SE and it generally works fine for playing audio, making calls, etc. But I've found that if I turn the car off while Bluetooth is connected, and then come back to the car shortly after, my phone is basically locked/frozen for a couple of minutes. The bluetooth connection light shows up on the Camry touch screen and I can select and play other audio inputs, but my phone is completely unresponsive and for all intents and purposes looks like it's shut off. After 2-3 minutes the phone will reboot itself and after it starts back up I'll get the 'Phone disconnected' on the audio system touch screen. At that point I can unlock the phone, re-enable Bluetooth and it connects/works fine with the car.
I originally thought it was a problem with the phone, but after some hard/factory resets and OS updates, it still does the same thing. Additionally, I cannot recreate the issue with the phone when it is paired with our other car (Honda Pilot) if I replicate the same sequence of events, so I'm assuming it's something to do with the Camry's bluetooth/audio system.
So my girlfriend got a 2015 IS250 and for some reason, her phone call history is not transferring correctly. When I connect my iPhone 6 (Verizon), the phone call history transfers correctly. When she connects her iPhone 6 (AT&T), all the numbers and names transfer distorted. Both of our phone call histories work perfectly on my 2014 IS250.
