2011 Isf with noise coming from the driver front and both sides rear. Have Bc coilovers, and checked them but they're good. Everything tight I double checked and torqued. I wanted to say it was tierods but tierods wouldn't make noise this is more of a rubbery thump. sounds like a boot or balljoints .

I have considerable road noise coming from both the driver and from passenger sides; have done a little research and found this to be a persistent problem with most Subaru models with frame-less doors.

View 14 RepliesI installed my hks ssm yesterday,it sounded great except for a clunking noise every time i pass by an uneven road...i found out that the hks pipe was hitting "the round thing next to the shocks" ... that's why the oem muffler had a little round stopper.. I tried to wrap it with a little exhaust wrap thinking it would fix it but it did'nt, just wondering if there's a DIY or something for this problem.
View 11 Replies2011 F150 Limited 4wd 6.2 liter. I just bought the truck a few weeks ago with 26,000 miles. Late last week I began hearing a mild grind/rustling noise that appears to come from the driver's front. It's not terribly loud (loud enough to hear), but it's annoying. It happens when I slow down (on and off the brake and below 25-30 mph) as well as let off and begin to speed up. It doesn't last but a second after I let off the brake and speed up though. The kicker is it does not happen all of the time. I drove it home from work last night and it did not do it one time, but driving to work this morning it happened every time I did what I described above. I have taken it to our local tire/suspension shop and they claim they could not reproduce the sound which does not surprise me. They did a full inspection and found nothing.
View 14 RepliesI've got a 2008 santa fe limited 3.3 awd with about 170000 km on it. Lately when I brake I've been hearing a clicking noise coming from what sounds like the driver side front wheel area.
Had it in to my mechanic who checked the brakes and said that pads/calipers/rotors were all fine. They replaced the passenger side front bearing on the lower control arm a few weeks ago and said there is no play or noise coming from any other suspension components.
Where to look next? My mechanic isn't sure what it is so I was going to take it to the dealer and see if they can fix it. Also had new tires installed about a month ago
After my coilover install there is a small knock coming from both sides in the front that wasn't there before..sounds and acts like a swaybar link but they don't have play and I replaced them and the noise is still there. I also reused the the shock tops?

I have this noise coming from both sides of the rear when the car is in motion. I am unsure if it is just loud enough to sound like it is coming from both sides or if it is really coming from both sides.

It doesn't start immediately, only after the car has been driven a bit. The noise is most noticeable between 5 mph and 10 mph. It is definitely a rotational sound (I can notice fluctuations in the noise as the wheel spins). It appears to come from both sides. When the car is in the air and the wheels are spinning their is no noise (according to the shop I have been to, I have not been present when this has been done), so that would mean it only occurs when the wheels are touching the road. It does not change when the brakes are applied but goes away immediately when the car comes to a stop. It occurs no matter which gear the car is in (automatic). It even makes the sound when the car is off but rolling.
I have taken it to the dealership and several other repair shops. They all take apart the brakes and inspect the drive train, but no one can find anything out of the ordinary.
I have the Golf 2.5 just under 5K miles with the 15" steel wheels and just recently I've noticed a clicking noise on both the drive and passenger sides. The frequency of the noise increases as I increase speed so I assume it is a tire/wheel issue. Sounds like its coming from the back but hard to tell.
View 5 RepliesSo I found out this afternoon that I have a leaking sunroof. Water has been draining into the rear driver's side passenger area and has soaked my carpet under my seat. And had standing water under my rear seat in the tray next to the fuel pump access.
I found that the drain tubes can become clogged allowing for water to spill over or seep out. And sending some compressed air up the tube will clear it. But I do not know where the tube exits.
I unfortunately cannot pull the interior apart the weekend because I have drill. So it will have to wait until next weekend to gut her again. I will also pull the headliner to check the condition of the tube.
At low speed driving and hitting a small bump I hear a clunking noise in the front on both sides. But when driving at faster speeds and hitting a bump it makes no noise at all. I can't seem to figure out what it is.

View 4 RepliesFront driver side brake squeals on a stop and release. This is the only side that produces this noise. Brake clearance is still very good and this noise has been off and on since i bought the car in December. Car has about 25k miles on it and will be replacing brakes at 30k.

Having issues in the T2 with driver side front and rear speakers going in and out. Comes back on when going over bumps or making left turns. right turns and they shut off again. also seams to happen more when listening to factory installed sirius than the iPod...
I've been doing car audio installs for years and this started shortly after i put an iPod adapter and amp/sub in. the head unit was never pulled out and i checked all the connections where i tied in with the rear speakers for the sub. I really don't think it's install related.
What would cause one side to go out front and rear?
During low speed parking manuvers with the steering wheel at extreme angles, car exhibits a snapping noise from the front end on both sides while braking.
2010 SC 430 Matador Red 30,000 miles.
Got a 1999 ford f150 2 wheel drive. I have replaced both upper and lower control arms with ball joints on both sides. New shocks, new stablelizer links, new inner and outer tie rod ends. Also, a new steering gear and i still have popping noise coming from both sides around the wheel area when i enter or leave out of drive ways, turning, or running in a hole. Doesn't do in going straight. I don't know what else to do. Driving me insane. I keep spending money on this truck and still where i first started.
View 9 RepliesI gotta a roaring noise coming from my right front while turning. Planning on replacing just the wheel bearings tomorrow & not the whole hub assembly(2008 2wd). Is there a thread that lays out the steps and other parts I may need? I've seen alot different stories on the net on how to do it. Everthing from I can press new bearings to I have to do 4x4 hub conversion. Seems to be some confusion.

Something the dealer can adjust / tighten up to eliminate this annoying noise?
First off I have a 2009 F150 4wd 4.6L truck...we have noticed a grinding noise on the front driver side wheel...we have replaced the auto locking hub acuator and the hub assembly but the noise is still there....it has us puzzled now not sure what it could be. I have read many different threads on this issue an it seems that it might be something to do with the vacuum. The noise is only on the driver side and only in 2wd, when its in 4wd it doesn't make the noise at all. Also while in 2wd the noise seems to go away when we let off the gas.
