View 8 RepliesI am having trouble finding the correct part number for the Ford emblem that goes on the front grill on an 09 F150 lariat crew cab. My father in law asked me to order one since his is faded badly. What is the correct part number?
View 1 RepliesI just bought this grill [URL].... and it fits great. However, the grill does not come with a emblem so I was just going to put mine from my 06 Passat on but it is a lot smaller than the opening on the new one. Am I just missing something here, or are there different size grill emblems on some cars? Or is my new grill just messed up?
View 3 RepliesJust like our fleet of 06' F-150's, my emblem on my 2011 F250 is starting to peel and bubble up on the front grill. Every 06' had their rear and front emblems replaced close to 3 times until we just gave up and lived with it. I thought Ford fixed this problem? Going to the dealer tomorrow to get a warranty repair.
View 14 RepliesAny good way to install and mount a light bar without drilling into the front bumper or grill? I have a 32" LED bar I want to mount between the top of the bumper and bottom of the grill, but the mounts aren't ideal for where I want to put the light.
View 9 RepliesFor those people who received a holeless grill in a 2 plate state how did you mount your front plate. I am supposed to have the holeless grill installed this Wednesday. I was thinking about using zip ties and mount it underneath it's original location but I am afraid that I will be blocking the radiator. I could do it by the side grill.
View 24 RepliesMy Ecoboost emblems on the sides are starting to discolor for some strange reason. I keep my truck clean and waxed so I don't feel it's due to neglect. I would like to ask the dealer to replace them with new ones but am concerned about how they would remove them...don't want any damage to the paint etc. Can this would be "easy" for the dealer to do without causing issues?
View 14 RepliesTrying to find a local shop here that will wrap my chrome trim around my grill. I had one shop tell me that they would have to section the grill near the top and that it couldn't be wrapped in one piece. I was shown an example and it was terrible, the overlay line was way too visible. I went to another shop today that said they could wrap it in one piece but I would need to take the trim piece off and bring it to them first. Any close pics of grill trim I could use as a reference.
View 14 RepliesOdd thing happened. All of a sudden the factory emblem on my 2008 tailgate totally lost all of its blue and is now pure chrome. Happened just like that.
Anyway, is it screwed on and do I need to pull the panel on the tailgate to remove it? Here's the tailgate on my truck for reference.
My 2012 F150 has these rubber sheets between the grill and radiator. In the attached photo you can see them between the headlight and radiator.
One of 4 sheets inside the engine compartment. See the sheets just inside the headlights.
They appear to be there to direct air from the grill through the radiator. These sheets have already decayed/torn and need to be replaced.
I just picked up an 08 r32 and was wondering why the lights that are closer to the grill do not turn on. When I activate my high beams the hid's just get brighter. Is something maybe the previous owner programmed
Because I have checked out everything
My 2008 Sonata's Speaker grill at left rear door is broken. How much does it cost to replace it . From the previous posts it's like I cannot replace the grill alone. Its like something hit in the center and it got broken.
View 4 RepliesMy Ultra white IS350 is 15 months old, and when I took out the screws to my license plate today, I noticed a little bit of rust on the mounts (where the screws would go into).
I believe this is a pretty common issue for all cars - essentially, the mount was sprayed with body paint, but the paint would be stripped when you put a screw in. It's just a matter of time before that happens.
I am just concerned it would rust through my trunk if I continue to leave it.
FYI: I already use stainless steel screws
Installed the Rough Country winch mount yesterday. One hour, by myself. Used a floor jack to lift it in place.
Only problem was removing the plastic molding which came in the spot the fairlead will be. Just a small rectangular plastic molding with a couple of bars down the middle for looks. It had two screws on top edge, and two pushpins on bottom , but also was molded with two catches on each side on the back I did not see. When I figured it out, and squeezed with just my fingers, little too hard and snapped one catch on each side. They slide into a slot and catch but wont be doing that ever again. Oh well.
As for mount, solid and easy to install. I used hand tools as the air gun would only hit one of the bolts for the front tow hooks. The other was blocked by plastic molding. No big deal.

The driver side front body mount bushing on my 2014 is gone which has the grill sitting on the bumper. I started to replace it, but the bolt is sized to the nut. ran off about 1/2 inch and that is it, it will not tighten or loosen anymore.
I cut the head off the bolt, but can not get the body high enough to remove the old bushing so i can cut the nut off flush with the rad support. Now I am trying to get the air filter box out so i can cut the top of the "nut cage" off to remove the bolt and nut out the top. but i can not figure out how it is held in.
I have the intake disconnected and the filter hat off, overflow tank hose disconnected, and two bolts holding the whole thing to the fender out, but it will still not budge. What am I missing here?
I have to replace the torque strut mount in my 2008 Avalon XLS V6. I can't find the torque specs for the two bolts in my Haynes manual or at any online sites. Also, should I use either threadlocker or anti-seize on them?
View 1 RepliesI have a 2" ball mount and a 2" ball from my previous vehicle. That vehicle was equipped with a 2" receiver as well.
Recently I had been pulling a few stumps in the front yard...nothing major, but this was the first time the ball mount has been used in my '06. So I noticed that there is some excessive (to me at least) space between the mount and the receiver on the truck. This causes some rattle between the two. I know there are collars out there that I can use to remove the rattle, but my question is...have others of you noticed the same? Do any of you have excessive play between the mount and receiver?
I need to replace the motor mounts on my truck. Is there any special tools or tricks I will need before I get half way into it and find myself in a bind? Oh yeah it's a 5.4L
View 1 RepliesI'm wondering what the safe limit is for the amount of weight the tail gate can suppport ?
I need to get some 4x8 sheets of dry-wall and instead of leaving the tail gate down i'd rather have it up and support the pieces, but at 50-60 pounds a sheet I'm somewhat concerned about how many sheets the tail gate can support without causing issues.
i have a 2008 f250 4x4 i need to replace the drive side front lower body bushing and i can not get the pressed on bushing to come out what is the easiest way to get this to come apart i tried using a 4 ft pry bar and i could not get it to pop free.
View 11 RepliesMy R doesn't have a hatch emblem. I have the emblem, and I want to put it on. But how do I know where to put it?
