My windows does not all go down when I hold unlock on my fob and how can I change setting for the car not to unlock when putting in park and when opening the door manually all inside locks would open too. My 2011 didn't have a manual.
View 3 RepliesI just bought a 2008 Passat last week, and am still learning all the features in the car. I previously had an '05 Jetta, and I was able to remotely open all of the windows by holding the key in the unlock position.
My manual says that I can roll down all of the windows from the remote by holding the unlock key on the remote, but it doesn't work. I have even checked the settings to make sure that the "Convenience" option is set to "All" windows. Am I missing something? What do I have to do to get the windows opened / closed remotely?
I am another "got explorer totaled and bought an F150" story. Picked up a 2013 FX4 eco. What a difference 10 years in technology makes, from a 03 exploder to this, wow!
Is there any way to program a 2013 FX4 to honk once with the door lock and twice with unlock? It ahs option pgk 402A with perimeter alarm.
Also does Ford sell a siren add-on so I can tell if it is my truck in trouble? I found DL3Z19A361A Can't find the contents on line and the parts guy does not know what it contains.
When holding the key to the lock position the windows should go up and if held to the left to unlock they go down. This rarely works on my car, i can sit there for 10 minutes and try it 100 times but it will only happen twice.
View 6 RepliesI was minding my own business when my 2002 Audi A4 started acting up. All of these issues occur on an intermittent basis.
First, none of the windows roll down.
Second, the interior lights come on and stay on even when the doors are closed.
Third, the obnoxious seat belt warning beep stays on even when my seat belt is on and the doors are closed.
Fourth, the remote control will not lock the car (although the key works).
Fifth, the remote control will not unlock the trunk.
All of these seem to happen at the same time. My car is silver color.
Is there a way to mod the automatic windows up and down. What I mean is that If i arm the alarm with remote, all four windows will automatic roll up. The honda accord has the function which will roll down the windows by the remote before you enter.

View 2 RepliesI have an 08 Sonata that just failed inspection due to the parking brake not holding. With the lever full up the E brake doesn't stop the vehicle at idle.
The rear wheels have disc brakes. How do I adjust the cable to remove the slack. I believe there's a center drum so I suspect there's a star wheel that must be adjusted. If so, which way does the star wheel need to turn, up or down. Is it the same direction on both the left and and right side of the vehicle?
I have a 2014 IS350. Is there a way to roll the windows up and down with the remote? My friend has and Acura that can roll the windows up and down with the remote. He holds the lock or unlock buttons to adjust them.
View 5 RepliesAnyway, just bought an 09 Expedition EL Limited. I ran through every button and function I could find at the dealership and it all worked great.
The next morning I went to roll the driver's window down and it makes a noise like it's going to start, but barely moves - if at all, then stops. Same with the front passenger. Rear windows worked fine. It was freezing and snow-covered at the time.
Yesterday (warmer and sunnier), all windows worked perfectly fine - just like they did at the dealership. The only thing that changed was the temperature.
Windows won't roll up or down in my 2004 F150 , could this be a fuse and where it's located? I can't seem to find it in my manual.

Driver door lock: (OK)
- Opening door when in locked state by using latch, works
- Manually toggling lock/unlock on the door works
- Power door lock switch locks and unlocks door
Front passenger door lock: (Issue)
- Opening door when in locked state by using latch, works
- Power door lock switch on this door or driver door, does NOT lock/unlock door
- Manually toggling lock/unlock on the door works
Rear right door lock: (Intermittent Issue)
- Opening door when in locked state by using latch, works
- Power door lock switch on driver and passenger doors intermittently fail to lock/unlock this door
- Manually toggling lock/unlock on the door works
Rear left door lock: (Issue)
- Opening door when in locked state by using latch, does NOT open the door
- Power door lock switch on driver and passenger door does NOT lock/unlock this door
- Manually toggling lock/unlock on the door works
What specific parts would need to be replaced?
I was driving down the road and an m3 came up next to me. I was chewing on my fingernail and my girl says o this guy wants to race "heard him down shift". I drive in sports mode a lot and was in it at this time. cause I was chewing on my finger nail I didn't downshift via paddle, when I heard him hit it I hit it as well he took off a car and a half while I was waiting for my tranny to drop into the right gear when it did we were at a stand still he wasn't gaining and neither was I then my girl yield cop so I let off lol he was sitting in a field off to the side.
is there anything I can do to get the tranny to act faster? or is it a case of down shifting first is a must before racing from a roll?
but then you have to keep the bottle temp/pressure up and full and on all the time. why o why cant they hack this ECU so I can turbo this thing
My boyfriend has a 2008 Kia Spectra that appears to have developed a mind of its own! The doors randomly lock and unlock at very odd times - usually when we are trying to enter the vehicle. We click the key fob "unlock" and the car unlocks and then immediately locks again. It has become a game of "how fast can we get the doors open"! Sometimes it goes into what we call "fits" and will click click click click - open/close open/close, etc. This will go on for nearly 10 to 15 seconds as we just sit in the car. He has taken it to the dealership on two different occasions, but OF COURSE, it never does any of the things I've just mentioned! I think the dealership thinks he is crazy. What could be causing this weird "ghost"???
View 6 RepliesWhile on a recent vacation, my sister-in-law, trying to do a good thing, washed my clothes but neglected to remove my FOB for my 2008 Prius. I returned home only to find that the FOB would not lock/unlock the doors.
I replaced the battery (the old one was reading only .03vDC) but still no remote lock/unlock.
How can you tell if the FOB is working since there is no "little red light" like I have seen mentioned by other owners
It looks as if the FOB should be watertight, is it? Any way to clean inside the FOB in case there is some corrosion? What should be my next step?
Want to figure out if the 2015 has this feature where you hold the key fob down and the windows roll down. Can't seem to figure out if this feature exists.
View 14 RepliesMy keyless entry didn't work this morning on the way to work....the parking lights came on and stayed on awhile but no dice on unlocking. I figured no biggie and tried to unlock the door with the key...the door lock won't rotate. I went in the house and tried keyless again with the spare keyfob....still nothing. I didn't have time to keep messing around so I just drove my car today. It's a 2012 F150 w/ a little under 6K miles.

So today, I purchased a Prius V (three, I believe). Very happy with it in general so far, but incredibly disappointed to discover that some of the features I have most enjoyed about my 2nd generation don't seem to come with my version of the Prius V.
On my Prius (2nd), I can unlock the hatch (and all other doors) simply by depressing the rectangular button with the key FOB in my pocket. That does *not* work on my Prius V and everything in the manual and what I can find online says that it *should* work.
I had a 2008 focus that had the parking lights flash when you lock and unlock the car with the key fob just wondering if the windstar does the same and if so how do you enable it as if you push the lock button 2 times the horn beeps and that is the only time i know the van recognizes the lock command i know that dodge's you push the lock button for 4 seconds but not more that 10 seconds then push the panic button but i didn't see anything in the manual unless i totally missed it.
