View 14 RepliesLike the title says I have some pretty bad condensation in my passenger side headlight, i have the LED headlamps. I'm bringing the car in for its 6 month service next week so the problem should be fixed then. I'm interested to see what happened, You'd expect headlights that cost over a thousand dollars a piece not to be having problems like this after only 6 months.
View 14 RepliesMy father recently bought a used 2014 IS250. After washing the vehicle there was a significant amount of condensation (water) in the passenger side headlight. After visiting the dealership for window tints the dealership denied to fix it warranty due to the fact that it was involved in a accident with the previous owner which is completely understandable. I recently bought a replacement new oem headlight to replace it. Would it be too difficult to install myself, is it just plug and play?
View 3 RepliesSo now that heat of summer is here, I have been running the AC and noticed a problem. The carpet under the floor mat on the passenger side is wet. It is not from the rain but only after I run the AC. There is a good amount of water in the carpet. The condensation also runs out from under the truck like normal. Any fix to keep me from spending money at the dealer? 2011 F150 XLT.

Recently discovered condensation in my front passenger headlight. The Lexus dealership initially scheduled me for a repair and indicated that my Platinum extended warranty would cover it. However, later received a call and indicated that it would not.
I see that a class-action lawsuit was filed for a similar issue with the 2nd generation (2004 to 2009) Rx series and recalls were eventually sent out.
I do not want the condensation to progress and short circuit my headlamp.
I have condensation inside my driver's side headlight on my 06 Passat. fix? New seal? Etc....
View 3 RepliesAfter detailing my car and prepping for winter I noticed moisture in the driver's side headlight. I know this is a common problem with many makes and models besides Lexus and I've done quite a bit of research to re-seal the light. I want to start with the basics first such as checking the vent tube for clogs. Need to point out that vent tube in a photo? I've looked all over and cannot seem to find this tube.
When I was detailing I was using a high-pressure washer. There was quite a bit of moisture and it dried within a few days. I was hoping it was from the high-pressure washer but now it came back. It seems to have come back just from using the headlight washer when I used my windshield washer.
I double checked the dust cap and o-ring seems to be fine. My next task is to remove the headlight assembly and reseal. I've read that some people have luck with just applying a bead along the seal without completely disassembling the lens and resealing (baking method). I'd rather not have to do the entire baking method although I know that can be more thorough.
Am I missing anything here in terms of other known causes? And would a clogged vent tube really cause this?
I have always seemed to have a moderate amount of water condensation on the glass inside the driver's side headlight. How does it get started and how do I rid myself of this small problem?
View 6 RepliesI have a 2008 Solara Convertible. My passenger low light headlight has been flickering on and off for months now and it has now reached the point of just staying off most of the time.
So I went to a auto parts store and the guy said the bulbs were special and I needed to take them to a mechanic. So I did and that guy told me that I can't change my own headlight bulbs because they're HID?? And if I try, I'll electrocute myself. Is this true?
Also, if this isn't true, how can I found out how to change the bulb and what brand/part is in there so I can buy them online? Does the instructions in the basic owner's manual work for HID bulbs (unscrew, pull out, replace)??
I just replaced (or almost replaced) the bulb on the passenger side of my 2008 prius. It is a HID bulb. I got the old one out, the new one in and connected and verified it is working. Now trying to get the cover back on that provides the weather proofing and unless im wrong... the braided wire that connects to the back of the bulb is in the way. It looks like it has to go thru the opening that the cover is supposed to seal... Imagine a rope hanging over the edge of a bucket you are trying to put a cover on... Am i wrong here? did I miss something?
View 1 RepliesLast night I noticed when I got out of the car my drivers side headlight was off while my passenger side light stayed on for about 20 more seconds.
At first I thought I just needed a new bulb, but tonight I saw both headlights are working when the car is on or when I turn the headlights on manually, but when I shut the car off the drivers side goes off immediately and the passenger side turns off in about 20 seconds.
I really like my auto-off after a little bit instead of it turning off immediately.
I haven't changed anything recently. Other than that I can't see any other problems. I swapped out my 08 headlights for 2014 headlights about a year ago and haven't had any problems.
I have a Subaru Forester 2006. This year, noticed condensation in driver's side headlight after a heavy rain. Not too long after, the headlight blew. (My headlights have been blowing at a frightening rate, but that might be a different thread for another time.). We changed the light and did our best to dry out the inside of the housing. We also checked for leaks by blowing air into the housing, with no luck at finding anything obvious. We put a little flashing on the inside, thinking there might be a problem with the rubber gasket.
Next rain, same problem. We also noticed in a parking lot another Forester, similar vintage, with condensation in both of its headlights. Is this a known problem...
I've noticed a noise in my '09 when I first start driving it after being parked at night. I believe it started about a week or two ago. After getting about 50 feet away from the drive way I hear a metallic ping from the passenger side, I'm guessing front. Then nothing else until later in the day when I leave for work. I travel about the same distance from the parking spot and I hear the same noise. Doesn't happen again until the next day. What it could be or how to test to determine the source? I usually engage the emergency brake when I park the truck. I'm going to hold off on doing that for a few days to see if it makes a difference.
View 12 RepliesI have a 2010 F150 Lariat with dual heat controls. The passenger side has no heat, blows cold air. Doesn't matter if it is defrost, vent, floor and recirculate.
Search online, it appeared that the blend door actuator motor would be the problem. I have put in a new one, but nothing changes. What to look at next?
The other day my father and I were driving around town in my pickup, he kept looking in the side view mirror and finally he told me he thought that my bed was not exactly in-line with my cab. When we got to our destination we both got out and looked, and sure enough the bedside protrudes maybe 1/2 a centimeter out on the passenger side where the bed meets with the cab.
This isn't really a great big deal, I mean I've owned this truck for just a hair over two years now and I never noticed, That's how unnoticeable it really is. And do you think this is worth taking it to the dealer for?
I mean, I feel like I'm being a stickler here...It's not noticeable unless you are really looking hard for it as in staring directly down the length or the pickup, and even then the bed looks lined up except for the slight protrusion on the passenger side.

View 14 RepliesI had this plastic on plastic sound on the passenger side dashboard...this started last weekend when it was cold outside and drove me crazy, I looked around and came up with this piece of foam under the hood and windshield bezel next to the hood hinge....After a few field adjustments on this piece of foam I took my truck for a test drive and its gone....for now!
