Golf VI R :: Squeak Over Bumps From Fuel Tank

The squeak I have been hearing over bumps is NOT from inside the car but is the fuel tank. If I lay under the car and pound on the tank it does it every time. How to fix?

Golf/GTI VI :: CEL Went Off After Filling Up Fuel Tank
My CEL came on today, gas level was a little under a quarter tank.
Took it to Advanced on the way home to have them scan it quick, and it threw a fuel pressure regulator code. I stopped in the gas station on the way home and filled it up, and the CEL was gone and hasn't been on since. I'm thinking HPFP, but maybe not? Could it be injectors?

I currently own a 2007 Passat 2.0T, and I noticed that whenever I am going over a certain speed bumps I hear squeak.... noise from the front. There are times I really go over slow but i still hear the noise.. It's a noise as if the tires are touching / rubbing against the front fender or something.. suqeak... I'm not topping off or overfilling, I pull the nozzle out once the I get the 1st click/cut off whatever from gas pump nozzle once the tank is full and don't put in any extra. It doesn't do this right away (Power loss)... waits until I shut the car off for the day (after a fuel refill) and then the next day I'm driving along and for 20-30 minutes I get random complete loss of power. I don't think it's an ignition issue because it only happens when I fill the tank, but it sure feels like it. It's almost like that bad coil pack feeling. I don't know how else to explain it, just stops accelerating/cruising for a half of a second maybe once every minute or two for about 30 minutes, then it never happens again until i fill the tank.

I have about 45,000 miles in my R and all of the sudden the fuel gauge is doing funny things. It seems that when i have about 1/4 of a tank of fuel left, the gauge will bounce around from almost empty to 1/4 on perfectly flat ground. Example i get out of the car with 1/4 of tank left and 60 miles till empty.
When I come out a few hrs later. It shows 20 miles, refuel and the gauge bounces. Yesterday it did it just below 1/2 a tank. The R is going to see my local friendly Vw dealer to see if they can figure it out. A few months ago had the 40K service done and I don't think this had anything to do with it.
Volvo - S60 :: Crunch / Squeak When Go Over Small Bumps
I have 1, possible 2 motor mounts in my 2001 Volvo S-60 that kind of crunch/squeak when I go over small bumbs. Actually, the lower passenger side mount does the majority of the crunching noise. The upper mount (visible when you lift the hood) does it more so when its cold and the rubber contracts.
I'm not 100% sure the lower motor mount is what's making that crunching noise - but I'm pretty sure that's what it is as the suspension is in decent shape.
My question is, is it possible to change the lower motor mount myself? I've heard that the engine needs to be supported when doing this, but is that so when you need to only change one? Also, does it actually need to be changed or would any kind of lubricant will work?
Passat (B5) :: 2000 - Annoying Squeak When Going Over Bumps
I took my 2000 Passat in and had the front suspension checked out. Everything is fine, tight and everything it should be but something is causing an annoying squeak when going over bumps. I assume its a bushing that has dried out between the rubber and metal. Is there a special lube I can spray on the bushings to stop the noise?

My '10 Golf TDI started leaking gasoline this morning, found smallish puddle in the garage. Looked underneath and there was definitely fuel on the underside of the tank. Moved the car into the driveway so the leaking fuel can evaporate.
Not sure what happened. I did hit something on the highway yesterday, a piece of tire from a semi went underneath the car. Of course it's been really hot 100+ deg lately. Maybe a fitting has come loose?
I'm not going to risk driving it, but can't do anything about it until monday. I'll call the shop and see what they recommend, tow or drive.
Golf V R32 :: Buzzing Coming From Fuel Pump Under The Tank
I have about 500 miles on my 2008 R32, and today I noticed while sitting in the car with it running that there was a noticeable buzzing coming from the fuel pump. It sounds like it is coming from the pump under the tank itself. Hear this coming through to the cabin? Rather loud, I wonder if this issue has already been reported with other 3.2 VR6 setups.

My wife has a 2006 GLS and the top strut mounts need replacing, they squeak during the winter when i go over speed bumps. Since i drive the vehicle more than her (i have a 92 accord that i drive to work daily lol) and i have to modify every car that i own. Since i will be taking the strut assembly apart to change out the mounts it gave me a good reason to purchase lowering springs ( coilovers are not in my budget).

I had the front struts replaced. I looked at the strut diagram and replaced most of the parts associated with the front struts. The rear shocks were also replaced. New brakes were installed on the front and rear. The front rotors were replaced. Mileage 124000 miles.
I thought this would might solve the squeaking when I went over a speed bump in the parking lot. It did not. How to fix the squeaking.
Golf V R32 :: 2008 - Popping Noise Coming From Fuel Tank
I have a 08 r32, hearing a popping noise that sound like its coming from fuel tank. When sitting not running in garage, bout 15 to 20 seconds between pops. Maybe evap system? Just notice after filling up with gas.

Full tank and the gauge reads empty. Has happened to me a few times. Occurs after a fillup and disappears after the car is left to sit for a while off. I would hate for this to happen on a long drive. Dealer hasn't been able to duplicate the issue. Am wondering if this might be related to the hiccup in some way. Also, am wondering if this is a fuse issue.

I have a 2003 f150 with a 4.2 v6 2wd and about 116 on the clock.
It has this annoying, faint squeek whenever i hit bumps in the road. Sort of sounds like bird chirps. I cannot reproduce it if I bounce on it while parked.
One rainy day I tried to show a friend and it would not make the sound it seemed. Therefore I think its exterior, although it almost sounds inside.
Today I sprayed down all the rubber joints under the front end with silicone spray. It still squeaked while driving afterwards.
I should note that a ford dealer claimed the ball joints were worn and needed to be replaced. Although, would a ball joint make bird chirp type squeaks while driving at most speeds (20mph - highway speeds)? It does not intensify or change at any particular speed.
My understanding is that a bad ball joint would grind when turning the wheel or clunk while traveling over speed bumps or something similar.

2011 F150 Screw FX4 drivers seat squeaks. Its in the bottom. It happens when you go over bumps. It doesn't do it all the time, but you can sometimes make it stop by moving the seat forward or back.

So my 7.3 started sputtering and lost power, died on the side of the road. I wasn't far from home put about 8 gallon of diesel in the tank with a couple of fuel jugs and it fired right up.
Gauge was reading 1/8 of a tank and low fuel light did not come on. (low fuel light comes on when you start) Gauge came up to about 1/2 after putting fuel in.
What happened? Gauge was always reliable and low fuel light always did work. Only work done to fuel system was had new tank straps put on a couple of months ago.

This van has had a couple of fuel pumps, no surprise there, and i need to look through my paperwork and find out how many miles the current one has on it, but it has the STRANGEST habit I've ever had on any vehicle. Starts fine, runs fine, no fuel pump noise when van is running, and when you turn it off, the fuel pump creeks on and off for several minutes.
I mean a strange creaking noise almost like a shorted electrical device or a vehicle's brakes when you park it on a hill and the breaks creak as it settles into place. I'm probably doing a lousy job of describing this but i don't know how else to describe it!
ALSO, if you lay under the van and wait til it stops creaking, you can tap the bottom of the tank and it will creak for a few more seconds. You can tap repeatedly and make it creak more. Is it about to explode? Can i trust it on a road trip?
