Golf VI R :: Right Side DRL Flickered For A While Then Went Out

I installed LED tails without fog and used the wire harness adapters that came with them. I recoded byte 18 to 21. The right side DRL flickered for awhile then went out. I've tried recoding several times, I've checked the wire harnesses, all connections seem solid. I have the original switch which I thought was OK for LED's without fog. I will try next to take the wire harness adapters apart to make sure there are no shorts.

I installed a new ballast and bulb for an 07 ES350. Light, on drivers side, still flickered until I installed the ground screw. This is the screw behind the drivers side quarter panel and it is the only screw on the side of the headlight assembly. Once I inserted this screw, light functioned properly for about 10 minutes. Then it went out and light doesn't come on at all. The fuse is still good. I have tried switching bulbs and light still doesn't work. Also, there isn't any humming from the ballast at all.

04 Phaeton V8....Have read all FAQ's regarding bulb replacement and should be no problem... Driver's side DRL flickered and finally quit...I need a straight answer on whether their is a difference in the bulb for low or high beams....
I am aware my problem is the low beam light...However, if I relate to previous posts the only part# mentioned is Osram 66043...D1S 85V 35W.... Is this for both low & high beams????
Compatible part numbers: 66042 66140 66142 66143 66144 66145 66147 and many other 4300K
D1S bulbs.
So they all work the same ? I finally ordered the one made in 09 Part#66145 but still not sure if I did the right thing.... Had the car for three days before light fails.....bummer

Troubleshooting a headlight problem on a 2004 V8 Touareg. Driver's side xenon low beam flickered rapidly and then quit working. I replaced xenon bulb with OEM part, still not working. Swapped in known good bulb from passenger's side, still not working. Took to dealership, who said it needed new ballast, which dealer would be happy to install for a mere $900 in parts and labor. Declined dealer's offer, ordered new replacement OEM ballast (from Chrysler dealer for several hundred less than VW), installed new ballast, still not working. Cleared all fault codes using VAG-COM, still not working. Swapped in known good ballast from passenger's side headlight, still not working. Auto-leveling is still working in both lights. So...not the bulb, not the ballast. Wiring harness, perhaps?

I have Stage 2 on my MK7 GTI. I have only "gunned it" not even launching, just from rolling, 2-3 times since I flashed noting too crazy. Other than that i have been granny shifting and taking it easy. I was on my home from work and i was on the freeway, I was changing lanes and naturally i gave it moderate throttle to match the lanes speed, revs kinda jumped no acceleration and the gear indicator flickered and a second later it resumed accelerating. I tried in a few gears thinking maybe it was a tune hiccup but sadly it slips 3-5th gear, starting around 2.5k+ RPM with very moderate acceleration, nothing too crazy, the amount you would accelerate to switch lanes or merge.

I tried putting LED Parking lights in my DRLs but when i turned the car on it didnt turn on. Then when i started driving the bulb out light came on, and the drivers side bulb stopped working.
I went to work for 4 hours, and took out the LED bulbs and turned the lights on and they worked!
but then the drivers side that was out flickered during the "dance" when you turn it on.
I then proceeded to drive and then after a bump they came off again!

Have a 2000 accent with 155k on it. The other day noticed the oil light flickered on and off... hasn't come back on since... so I did some google research and saw some postings on possible oil pump issues. Another thing this morning went to go get the oil changed and they said they wouldnt change it cause iut was knocking a little.... so I have a feeling both these issues are related somehow... Last thing when I check the oil with the car cold.. I pull the dipstick and dont see any oil on it.... but when its running you pull the dipstick and it shows the oil.....

I have a 2008 Volvo S40. I bought it used less than a year ago, at around 68k miles from a volvo dealership in my area. At just before my 75000 maintenance, I noticed that my oil light flickered while I made turns. Turns out, I was 4-5 quarts low on oil- and took it into my mechanic (a certified volvo mechanic) within two days and without further driving it. Everything goes well- car looks good. Now, at my 82,000 mile maintenance, again, the same flicker of the oil lamp light on my turns- and poof! Oil is down again 5 quarts. Now, there's absolutely no sign of leakage or burning, and my mechanic thinks it's due to carbon build up around the piston rings.... this sounds like more of a result of a disguised problem, rather than the cause itself. I don't use cheap gas, and have done everything according to the service manual.

So I noticed the other night that one of my LED's on my headlamp flickered while they were on, with the key in ignition. As of today, the driver's side LED light went out. Where to to tap into to make an attempt to figure this out. Wires and connector seem to be all in tact.

The dash brightness dimmer pot. The roller doesn't have much tactile feedback or resistance, so when I rolled it just beyond maximum brightness, the dash lights flickered and went out. [Of course this could also be a feature I'm not aware of... ] Fortunately, dash lights came back on when reducing from max. Best to just find a comfortable setting below max brightness and leave it alone. - IMHO.

This morning I went to start the car, the lights flickered and then everything went dead. The car has been acting up a bit, spurious warning lights, etc. so I thought the 12v battery was failing. This seem to confirm.

94 Blazer 5.7 liter ... Headlights won't come on... They flickered then went off completely. Check EGR light comes on occasionally. Lower 30 amp breaker on fusebox is extremely hot. All other lights work.

I was driving home just a few minutes ago when my headlights flickered and then cut out for a few seconds. They came back on, but I hadn't driven another 1/2 mile when they flickered again and went off for a further few seconds. This was repeated once more about a mile later, though when I pulled over (first time I was able to do so), they stayed off til after I restarted the car and banged on the dashboard.
Further symptoms: running lights, brake lights, and tail lights seem unaffected. Turning the switch for the headlights off and back on does not affect the issue.

I wanted to share my current ordeal with my ES 350. I was driving my 2008 ES 350 on freeway when check air conditioning words flickered on my NAV and started getting warm air. Not sure whats going on, i switched it off. After few minutes i got Check VSC and the sign for VSC lit up on the display.
At this point I called my lexus dealer while driving. They told me that i should bring the car in etc. After few minutes, the check engine light came on, then i pulled over on the shoulder and called Lexus again. Then I thought I should at least get off the freeway. But when I tried to start the car, nothing happened. Brake pedal was stiff and nothing when tried to start the car.
I just called AAA for tow, called Lexus dealer again and explained to them that i am bringing the car over. The dealer called back and said engine overheated and needs to be replaced and possibly transmission too. I was really surprised.
My car has 86K on it and all services performed as expected.

I was driving and instrument panel flickered on and off a couple of times then stayed off. Also now battery, about 1 year old, doesn't stay charged. Would it be short in wiring? Or what?

Last week a warning light appeared on screen. It flickered on and off for a minute, and I think it was going on more when I was cornering. Then it stayed on and has been on ever since.
I did a search and read the post about the clock spring recall. But it is not a recall in the UK. I'm in the UK where they sold this model from 2006. I guess I'm going to have to take it to the dealer and get them to read the codes.
Is there anything simple I can check myself first, like for a lose connection under the seats of anything like that?

I noticed the second night driving our new Touareg that the compass light flickered from dim to bright and back. A few minutes after the display went completely off. Haven't noticed it since but I have seen a few posts that suggest they turn off after 30 sec. and can be adjusted with VagCom. I called VWoA and they had no info on it yet. The other issue was the engine cover that was on the demo Touareg with identical options other than the color, is not on our new vehicle. Our vehicle we bought was delivered the night of our demo ride, so it is a late build...small center rear head rest...etc. When I questioned the dealer they said the engine cover was discontinued recently and is not installed anymore. I wish it was there, looks clean. Other than that my second vehicle is an '04 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I love to drive the VW over the Jeep. They did an excellent job on it.

I have a 06 sonata v6 with 120k. Today while driving the car started to lose power then the lights on the dash board flickered radio went nuts and the car lost all power. What could be causing this? Moved battery a little bit and got power back but then started driving and it did the same thing. I did have the heater on 2. You can feel it lose power while accelerating.

What is the common cause of brake light failure? I drive a 2005 F150 Lariat 4X4. When i started the lights flickered until they completely stopped working. To me it seems like a short, is there a specific, common place where a wire is not properly mounted or rubs on something?

My passanger side blade has been hitting the side of my windshield randomly since the car was new. Wasn't able to replicate the issue at the dealer so I was pulling the blade off last night to investigate and broke the small square retaining clip (Red arrow). Do the clip assembly (Blue arrow) can be purchased separately or if I have to buy a whole new wiper.
