Golf VI R :: Draft While Turning With The Heat On

I don't know if this is just me or not, but in my R when I have the heat on and turn it gets cold like there is a draft coming from somewhere. It happens in my girlfriends gli too.

For those of you who have the 42 Draft Downpipe, I have a weird audible vibration during acceleration and I'm assuming something isn't mounted 100% correctly.
I remember a while back I saw a post about something similar but search is failing me at the moment. So what was the resolution?

I'm new to the Lexus family. I recently bought a 2007 rx 350. It's in wonderful condition. I noticed that when I go above 60ish, I hear what sounds like a draft or a static-like sound. I've turned the radio off, air off, turned on re-circulated air, made sure all the windows are up, but no matter what I still hear it. I had a small Honda Civic before so I don't know if it's getting used to the aerodynamics of an suv? It almost sounds like there's a "crack" that's allowing air to come through the but there isn't. I don't notice it at all when I'm driving around town, only really on the interstate. It's most noticeable when in the drivers seat. I wasn't sure if it's just the nature of the ventilation system of this vehicle or should I have it checked? Am I just over analyzing?

I go to turn the heat on in my car for the defrosters the other day and the heat wasn't turning on. No the slightest bit warm, would this be a thermostat problem or a heater core?

I turn my car on. I have no error lights on my dash. The heater and AC control unit lights up. I press the down arrow on my in-dash heater/AC control unit so I can get some cold air. I hear a hissing sound for about 2 seconds, but no air comes through the vents.
I get the same effect when trying to use the heater. Quick hissing sound, no air through vents.
Both stopped pushing air at the same time (when my ac stopped working, I tried to put out heat just to check)
I have checked al the fuses under my steering wheel and in the engine compartment using a circuit tester (w/light).
There is an AC Clutch relay fuse in the engine fuse box. Not sure if I should check that.

Just noticed something funny yesterday while flushing my radiator. I have an 04 F350 with the 6.0. When I have the heat set to come out both high and low vents, the A/C compressor also kicks on. The pipes by the passenger side firewall get cold. If I set the heat to just come out high or low, it turns off. This is not with the defroster on. Why does this happen? Is it supposed to happen?

So after replacing the entire clutch assembly, coil packs, plugs,valve cover gasket, thermostat housing, blah blah blah basically a tons of new parts. I get her up and running and notice my heat only works when under throttle...yup water pump...but wait what's that milky substance under the valve cover cap now never ran hot but appears to have blown the head gasket as well. Doing compression test this weekend..

Is it just me or does the R have a tendency to get a little warm by the gas pedal feel the heat towards my leg right by my shin and knee is this normal??

Heat on HIGH
Drivers side dash vent and defrost will blow fairly warm air, but no where near the 120 it should be on high
Pass side vents ( all ) blow cold air.
Car heats up fine according to the dash gauge and doesn't overhear.
I've run VCDS and there are no fault codes pulling up, so I am at a loss. With the temp being -15 with the wind-chill, it's a damn chilly drive into work. At first I thought it might be the heater core, but that wouldn't explain the split dash issue.

So on the coldest day we have had - 22 C with the wind, all in all not that cold but my heater decides to stop working. I am talking like not even I hint of hot air. Coldest ride i have ever taking part in. Needless to say vw had a unhappy person at there door when they opened. But to my amaze there are about 10 others with the same problem when i arrive. Do i here a recall on heaters? all models were 2010 and 2011 jetta, golfs, and gtis.

Ordered my TBE couple of weeks ago, installed last week. I have been running the 100 octane tune for an entire week. Decided a couple of days ago to put it back to stock to see the difference. When I was running the 100 oct, I was pretty much on it the whole time. When I went back to stock I noticed some heat shield noise so I took it back to have them take a look. While on the lift I noticed a lot of soot in three different places.

I have a major rattling sound from under my car... it sounds exactly like a heat shield. I have been up under my car 5 times and I can not find a loose shield anywhere. the cat insulator mesh is still in perfect condition and it now seems the sounds is coming from somewhere in the back of the car, perhaps the muffler area.
This car does have the flapper mod done... could there be something inside the muffler itself? the car only has 40k on the ODO and I have not hit anything or do not have a dented muffler. As a fellow VW'er I do not want to be the only one running around town rattling...

Here's the situation: Just crossed over 30k miles and the Driver's side seat does not heat up. The passenger seat does work, and gets pretty warm when turned up any further than 1.
I did some searching and found some general info about similar problems in other MkIV's, but nothing specific to the R32 seats. (The warranty was for 4 years/50,000 miles, which ever came first, and VWoA will not cover our seats under the MkIV Recall.) Here's what I've tried so far:
1. Swapped switches - No difference.
2. Checked the fuses and verified that I have power to the switches
I tried to check for power at the Green connector under the seats, but got nothing for either passenger or driver's side. What should I try next?
If I check the resistance of the element in the seat, which wires do I need to check? Is there another connector under the seat I should check?

My R stopped blowing any air. I can just barely feel warmth coming from the vents, but blower is not working... I looked for some threads on this but nothing.

I have what I think is a heat shield rattling at around 2500-2700 rpm. or maybe not? It's not that noticeable but it's driving me mad
Is there a more simple answer that it could be? Keep in mind I claim very very little mechanical knowledge.
I am going to my dealer tomorrow for something unrelated and I kinda want to get a head start when I go to talk to the service dudes.
