View 8 RepliesI have the windows/sunroof close via rain sensor enabled through vagcom. I go to the MFD but every time I select it on, it'll reset and turn off when I turn the car off and on. Why? Can't get it to stay on.
Also, to not start a new thread. What the Manual Door Lock option in the MFD does? It gives you the option of all doors or individual. I looked in the manual but still don't understand what it does.
My sunroof will vent open and close by its self randomly while driving. Same problem occurs with my girlfriends 08 Passat. She said the dealership couldn't duplicate the issue, and when asked me about it I just laughed, shrugged my shoulders and said its probably just loose wiring.
View 2 RepliesIs this something that can be done with the remote? Does it have to be activated by the dealer? I can open/close windows/sunroof with the key but not with my remote.
View 8 RepliesI was trying to close my sunroof just now and it starts to close but it stops just before the end and opens back up again!! What do i do about it?
View 10 RepliesMy sunroof opens and closes correctly. but when in the closed position it will be sunken into the cabin of the car a few MM not sealing to the body of the car tightly. how do I fine tune the sunroof to sit flush with the body when closed? some kind of adjustment screws?
View 4 RepliesDrove my 2004 Volvo S60 today and open the sunroof this morning. I made 4 stops and shut the car off but let the sunroof open because it was a nice day and did not lock it since I was as buddies house and we were outside. Drove back home about 12 miles and parked the car and before I hout the engine down I tried to close the sunroof and nothing. Checked fuse 34 (15 amp) and replaced it and still nothing.
View 1 RepliesI have a 99 Passat with about 65K on it. The sunroof will open sporadically and not necessarily close right away with the switch.
View 4 RepliesMy 2010 Sonata has a sunroof which I did not mean to open. I touched the button by mistake and the sunshade and sunroof opened. I have tried what I think is everything to close it, but no luck. How to close it?
View 8 RepliesI have been unsuccessful in closing the power sunroof from outside the car with the key fob. In my previous VWs and my current A4 I have the ability to do it with the key by turning to the right. The manual says to hold the lock button down??!! How long do I have to hold it down??

View 5 RepliesIi have a '98 sc2 and its been sitting in my yard for a while. It started out one day when i got in it, turned the key and then it turned over but wasn't starting. We hooked it to a computer and it showed no bad signal so we bought a new computer for my car and that didn't work either. We changed the coil packs and the crank sensor and still nothing.
View 2 RepliesSo my friend was driving her car and the sunroof won't close. When it gets to the end of the track, it opens itself back up again. We found a piece sitting on the right-hand track but don't see anyplace where it would fit. It's Saturday pm on a holiday weekend and no place is open.
Here's a picture of the part (with a pen for scale) [URL] .....
Is there a way to force this thing to close so the car doesn't get ruined by rain until she can fix it?
This morning the sunroof on our 04 Wagon freaked out and now will not close, or go back into the roof. It is stuck about 1/2 lifted. Each time you move the dial it tries to close, then goes right back to 1/2 open. Nothing appears to be stuck anywhere in the mechanisms and we were driving while it happened.
View 1 RepliesHaving sunroof not closing problems? It tilts up but wont close down, Car only has 18xx miles...
View 2 RepliesI had my first potential problem happen yesterday. I parked my car in a parking lot and my sunroof wouldn't close. I think that the pinch protection was the culprit because it started to close and would open when there was about a 3 inch gap. It never closed but when I drove away and tried it again in motion it closed.
View 24 RepliesSo it has been quite cold around here the past couple of weeks. I was driving my Tig the other day to grab some food. My buddy wanted to see how far my sunroof opens. It opened no problem. But then when I tried to close the sunroof, it got just about closed and then reversed to open all the way. It took me about 6 times of opening all the way and then trying to close until it finally closed. My thought is maybe a piece of ice got stuck and made the system think something was on the track?
View 5 RepliesI used VAGCOM to turn on the automatically close windows/ sunroof when rain is sensed...I also checked the box under MFI/ Convenience but cannot get the windows/sunroof to close with rain. How to get this to work?
View 22 RepliesHave sunroof vent open and close by itself while driving down the road? mine did it about 6 times yesterday during one trip but hasn't done it again since....
View 5 RepliesWhen you use the key to lock the car door, you should be able to hold the key in the lock position on the driver's door and the car will close the windows and sunroof, right?
For some reason, this is not working on my car. The alarm sets and that's it..
2014 Camry XLE. When you press the close button, sometimes the sunroof will make it about halfway and then go back open. However, if you press the close button quickly several times and sort of shimmy the sunroof closed, it will close. Nothing is obstructing it.
