has run the 4th wires from the taillight plugs to the control module. Which route did you take from the rear to the front of the car? I assume you took both down the driver's side.
View 24 RepliesI have a '99 Rodeo 2.2L, 2wd with 60k. Time for new plugs and wires. Any engine diagram? I haven't found the Distributor Cap.. AND... my Haynes Repair Manual mentions coil packs... when I went to AutoZone for Spark Plug wires, they didn't say anything about coil packs.
View 2 RepliesMy 2005 Camry LE four cylinder is past due for plug wires. I have tried Googling the correct part number for either NGK or Denso. The newest ones I can find are from 2001. What are the proper part numbers? My local parts store claims NGK and Denso does not make them for my car. I have a hard time believing they don't make plug wires for my car. If nothing else what is the correct Toyota part number?

View 5 RepliesI've never replaced those and I have about 250K miles on a 18 year old car. I do replace spark plugs every so often. I've heard that if the o2 sensor goes it can screw up the catalytic converter very quickly.
If the cat WERE screwed up, would the car still run or would it also need to be replaced? If so, I would think that an o2 sensor would be kind of a maintenance item, ie spend regularly to avoid a huge expense if the converter goes. or maybe catalytic converters aren't that expensive on this car?
My park lamp circuit is dead. I have tested with a multi-meter and there IS power at the fuse. However, no power at the plug. I have pulled the bumper and found the plug for both the rear taillights (the park lamp circuit WORKS in the taillights) and the trailer wires. Confirmed it is dead there as well.
Both bundles go into the frame rail at the fuel tank, but I not sure which is which where it comes out at the firewall. A web search did not reveal a diagram and the Ford repair CD I have does not list Excursion diagrams.
Would someone with a 00-07 take a picture of there 7 pin power/signal/heat/ mirror plug for me? I need the pin location of each of the wires because my aftermarket ones do not have the same colors as the factory plugs.
View 1 RepliesI removed all the spark plug wires for testing/cleaning and install new spark plugs, but stupidly forgot to mark the wires where they came off at the Coil Pack. yes, Now I cannot find a diagram for the Driver's Side wire positions at the Coil Pack.
(The Passenger side wires are 1-2-3, starting from the front of the engine, simple enough); The Coil pack itself has numbers stamped on it, so I have the Passenger side done correctly.
But the Driver's Side wires are not in a Sequence of 4-5-6, instead they are 4-6-5 (or something like that), and I can't remember their positions at the Coil Pack. Looking for a drawing showing the Driver's side Wires as they connect to the Coil pack?
Example:
Front Driver's side plug wire connects to which coil pack position? (Front, Center, or Rear?)
Center Driver's side plug wire connects to which coil pack position? (F, C, or R?)
Rear Driver's side plug wire connects to which coil pack position? (F, C, or R?)
I replaced the blower motor and the resistor. I just replaced the resistor again only after only a couple weeks. I noticed that two resistor plug wires (orange and black) were burnt. what can be done to fit this problem.
View 1 RepliesMy F150 with 175,000 miles on gave me a the ol' P0305 code indicating misfiring in cylinder #5. I changed the plugs and wires using Motorcraft wires and Motorcraft AGS34FM plugs.
Now the truck idles fine, does not give a OBD code but runs rough at 2,000-2,500 rpm. Tried it out on the highway and it started "bucking" a bit. Not sure what to try next.
I got my LED DRL kit today, the harness has 3 wires red(+), black(-), and white(for connect to (+) of headlight so when headlight on the drl will go off). So I will connect black wire to negative of battery or ground, red wire to ACC or ign. So my question is how can I find ACC and how can I connect white wire to (+) of headlights? View 1 Repliesrunning aftermarket speaker wires through the door boots? I tried attaching the wire to a cable but the boot is so narrow that only the cable comes out of the other end.
I think the kicker cable im using is thicker than the normal 16 awg so it doesn't work either.
So I go install my led tails and only one damn tail light up. Any problem when installing these tails? I followed the steps and also the ghetto harness made.

View 9 RepliesJust installed my Euro switch from USP Motorsports, When I have the DRL's on with fogs whichever side the flasher is activated on dims the L.E.D DRL instead of shutting it off or keeping it at full power. Is this normal?
View 3 RepliesI had oem LED taillights installed to my car. Dealer coded the car to avoid error lights on dash. The problem is now the city lights under xenons look dimmed. Not as bright as before. I asked him why did it happen and he said that it's normal as it needs to balance the current flow to supply enough power to the LED taillights. I'm not satisfied with this answer though.
View 3 RepliesSince the first time I saw the OEM LED taillights I knew I wanted them and I knew I didn't want that turn signal glitch when braking. There is, of course, the option to wire the LED tails the OEM "proper" way, but I wasn't interested in running multiple wires from front to back so I came up with another way.
All of the wiring to make these work without error* (This method will make the inner LEDs work as brake and Running lights, opposed to just running lights) is confined to the hatch and outer taillight areas.
The main thing that I knew I had to avoid was using the current Pin 1 wire to power the Pin 3 turn signals. For some reason unknown to me the Pin 1 wire wants to be a brake light even after the brake light coding is removed from the adaption channels relating to the pin out. So if that wire wants to be a brake light so badly then that's what I would let it be.
The idea behind the wiring is to use the power from the running light on each side of the hatch to power the turn signal on that respective side (hatch and outer amber signals) and then re-power the inner running light by using a jumper from the outer taillight power.
Now some illustrations to clear that mess up:

I have led bulbs in the stock tray Because I can't find red bulbs to fit these tails. Can't put white bulbs because my brake lights will be white and NYPD will be on my case
1.w euro switch turned off one bar in 3rd brake light on and top two bulbs on but dim
2. When car is turned off switch off top bulbs stay on but dim but they turn off after a few minutes
3. Replaced both license plate bulbs and only the left side bulb will illuminate but if I turn the euro switch from on to off quickly the right bulb will Flicker as if it had a quick jolt of power to it.
4.turn signals are led ambers they blink way faster than stock is this normal?
Having a few electrical issues lately, that are really starting to irritate me. This is pretty random. OCCASIONALLY, not all the time. When I turn my euro switch all the way to the right, my windshield wipers will go across the windshield twice. Obviously the wipers aren't on. And I don't accidentally hit the stalk. This just random and annoying when it smears stuff across the windshield. I don't even know where to start.
View 2 RepliesOk, so I installed my euro cupholder today, and I love it. Simple, yet so pleasing! So just for those interested in possibly installing one, but worried about the work, I'm not MKVI inclined whatsoever, so I figured if it would take someone who knows their car well an hour and half, it'd take me 2 and a quarter. I went slowly and as I took the console apart, I meticulously cleaned all the crevices and it only took about 1.5 hours, and that was with some re-fittting and tweaking to make sure everything was perfect. So with my first dive into takng apart the car, it was fairly painless and I love the outcome....except:
For some reason I get an Airbag Error and a warning light. The passenger light works well and goes off with a passenger in thier seat, like its supposed to. I only unplugged, then replugged in 5 things: Passenger Airbag on/ off light, ESP on / off button, 12 V power, Light for shifter (auto), and I Pod (well just an aux line in).
Had the tail lights coded for at a local shop.. realized as I was leaving that the reverse lights are throwing an error. Can these be coded for? Now that the car recognizes the tails as LED, is the error coming from the incandescent? Should I replace the bulbs with low pulling LEDs without resistors? As for the fog, do I have to replace the bulb as well? No euro switch or wiring done. Basically, how do I get rid of the error.
