Golf V R32 :: Only FM Radio Band Appear On Factory Nav
Mar 7, 2011
At least once a week, only the FM band appear on my factory nav. My sat 1, sat 2, and fm2, and am1 band all dissapear. I have to turn the car off and back on to get everything to work again.
The cars currently in the dealer for an other issue and they are looking into this one also. Seems not much is going to happen as it's unduplicabale. I even showed them the videos I have take of it happening. Call VWOA and they said they will look into it.
I had the sirius module replace once, new firmware twice, and in the dealer another time and they couldn't replicate the issue.

Have a factory touch screen radio (not sure which one it is) no Navi, but its a 2010 Passat, mine sounds like crap, especially when playing though an IPOD. Put the same music on an SD card and it sounded much better. I literally have only had the car less than a week, and am contemplating going and taking out all the speakers and replacing them with aftermarket stuff.

I have an 09 Camry LE. When driving, the volume is consistent until I begin braking. It then lowers the volume itself. When I accelerate, it ramps back up.
Also on the highway, the bass is excessive. I usually turn it down to -1 or -2 depending on the track. The car is completely stock. I've had the car for a few weeks now.
This is the only factor that may lead to me replacing the stock radio. I don't want too, but if this problem can be solved by that, than I will.

I've been having trouble with the stock radio in my 2011 SF. It randomly turns off, then turns back on by itself, 5 to 10 minutes later. It comes back on in whatever mode/ station it was on when it turned off. I've pressed every button, tried to insert a cd, and tried the steering wheel buttons. The USB power goes off too.
The station memories stay, so I don't think it's a power issue, at least at the fuse level. The battery is fairly new. I've cleaned the fuse and both ends of both ground wires in the engine bay. When I cleaned the fuse, I lost station memories, is there two fuses for the radio, perhaps? Or does the memory power and radio power split after the fuse box?
have a GPS and don't use Sirius/XM anymore. I've read part of the radio/ nav system sticky, wow, is it long.

I have searched online for a week a now and I can't find a simple description of wiring scheme for the factory radio. I have remove it and I am try to install an aftermarket unit. I count 22 wires coming into the factory unit and I cannot assign a function to all of them.

So my son cut the factory speaker wires on his Explorer. I bought a new radio for him prior to the "CUT" and the new radio comes with a simple wire harness (2 green, 2 purple, 2 white, 2 grey). The picture shows the factory wires attached to factory module. The "New" speaker wire harness identifies which wire is for what speaker but I need to know what factory speaker wire would attached to the new wires. Based on the picture, how to identify the speaker wires and determine which wire goes to which speaker?

Plain and simple. 97 F150 with factory radio and cd changer. Just wanna know what wire to cut on the factory harness to make the radio not dim when I turn on the headlights. Or is there more to it than that?

Adding a sub and put it under the front seat? I know a lot of people put it under the rear but i don't want to sacrifice cargo carrying space under the fold up seat in my 2012 Supercab. I was considering a Kicker 8" Hideaway. I don't need pounding base. Just more base.

We have the basic stock CD / radio model number A518A1 and the XM Radio module with the fit kit installed in the passenger side wheel well in the trunk in a 2010 Corolla S.
Installation of the XM Radio & fit kit was dead simple and we're using the built-in OEM antenna on the roof of the car.
The problem we're having is the dreaded NO SIGNAL message when trying to listen to XM Radio.
I have the Lynx portable XM Radio installed in my car and when both cars are in the driveway, I can get the signal all day long and in her car she gets the NO SIGNAL message.
We've already called XM Radio and had the signal resent to the radio numerous times with no success.
I've gone to our Toyota dealer and the only thing they can recommend is to replace the OEM roof antenna. That part alone is $80 and you have to completely disassemble the headliner to get at the antenna.
Wiring up an actual XM antenna to take the place of the OEM roof antenna? I've searched the web and can't find an adapter plug.

Today while driving around on the back roads the radio signal faded in and out quite a bit. I don't remember it happening before like that. I was curious if a Pioneer head unit would have the same issue due to using the same antenna or if it's just the factory head unit causing the bad reception.

My factory radio will not work. The person who had the truck before me installed an after market radio and it works fine, but the factory radio will not power up when I plug it in...is the radio shot or is there a way to fix it.

My dumb self cut my factory harness to install a radio and after hooking up said radio (which I know how to do) it popped a fuse. So to avoid any trouble I need to put another harness in but again with my stupidity I cut the wires too short. finding the correct harness

My 2013 gti has 2077 miles on it. Today I pulled it into my bay at work and checked its oil level while cold, it was at the min line. After my ~ 15 minute drive home i checked it again, and it was about 1/3 up between min and max...... Are they typically at "max" from the factory, or just varying in between? This is the first time I've checked the oil in it since i got it...

My wife and I were on a road trip today about 120 miles from home. During some city driving I noticed a rubber band popped out from just above and behind the steering wheel airbag cover. I had no choice but to continue driving and as I steered through some turns I noticed it not only came out more and more but then started to get twisted up around the steering column. We were able to make it all the way home without an issue but the steering wheel is making a noise due to the rubber band/gasket whatever the heck it is which is now all twisted up behind the wheel, however I am unable to see it anymore.
I am not going to drive the car until I am able to get it in next week to the dealer and my car only has 7000 miles on it, it's a 2013 Sonata GLS.
I know it will all be covered under warranty but my biggest concern now is making sure the dealer is able to hear what I am able to hear since the rubber thing is no longer visible.

I have a 2000 Camry, 4 cyl. It was in an accident on the front right before I bought it. I took it to Sears for alignment and 4-6 adjustments were made to pull it to within spec. One evidently is not correctable (the caster). After I bought it and after the alignment, I replaced the sway bar link, as the upper ball and socket was very loose. The problem I am trying to solve now is when I turn at low speed, I get a sound like a plucking of a large rubber band. (BUNG) I jacked and blocked up both sides and turning both ways all the way made no sound or play, and nothing is touching like the wheel well plastic or other parts. Then, I lowered the front right (where the accident was) to put weight on it, and it no noise when turning. When I lowered the left side also, there was still no sound. No sounds or shaking at 50-60 mph.
