Golf V R32 :: MFD Controls And DSG Paddles Just Stopped Working

Two weeks ago my airbag light came on and I got an airbag fault message. A week later the MFD controls on the steering wheel and the DSG paddles just stopped working. I had searched around and found that some people had issues with the clock spring. I brought the car to the dealership and they mentioned that maybe it was the clock spring, but after checking everything out they told me that the horn buttons needed to be replaced and that they were causing the issue. I have a hard time believing that this is the issue because the airbag fault popped up a week before the MFD controls and DSG paddles stopped working.

The controls on my steering wheel stopped working. Last Saturday I brought car into dealer for an oil change and they did a recall on the ECM module. I wonder if this is a coincidence or if the programming messed up the wheel.

Background (not sure if it's relevant): My car was in the body shop for 13 days. I got it back on 8/24. Damage was too the bottom right side, doors and adjacent body.
When i picked up the car and drove it, it seemed fine except that the MPG average was only 25mpg. Normally for me, it's around 38 to 40. It has gradually come back up. for this reason, i was frequently pressing the Info button on the steering wheel to bring up the screen that shows the current mpg average.

Yesterday the horn on my 2007 Passat has stopped working completely. I have read the owner's manual from cover to cover and the fuse for the horn is not listed anywhere in any of the fuse diagrams - either for the engine compartment cover, or on the fuses listed in the interior by the driver's side.
In addition the MFD steering wheel controls have also stopped working, and there is also no night time illumination on those buttons. I'm guessing as these are also located on the steering wheel that the two problems might be linked. I can live without the MFD controls, but the horn is a safety issue.

The problem I am having with my 2009 Grand Caravan SE is the drivers door controls stopped working. I cant use the power windows locks or door locks and the background light is off also, the front passenger side and middle row locks etc work. On the driver door the only things that work are the 2 back vent windows.

I have a 2003 Passat W8 with the Monsoon system and today I had a new problem pop up with it. On my way to work this morning the steering wheel volume and tuning controls stopped working. I also noticed that the Heads up display in the center of the dash is now blank...it used to show the CD number and track number. I can't seem to find any blown fuses in the fusebox.. I don't have the removal tools but I was going to check behind the radio to see if there might be another fuse there...

My fuse controls cigarette lighter has apparently stopped working. I use it to charge my phone on trips. I had plugged in an inverter in an attempt to run a small fridge (for camping) and maybe that blew it out. The inverter didn't work but I could run it directly off the battery terminals. that was too much work and there were bears around anyway so I bagged the project.

On our 2007 turbo diesel auto santa fe the audio controls first and now the cruise has stopped. Had problems turning cruise on would have to press buttons 3 / 4 times to work now nothing.

Owner of a brand new '13 Prius C Two. No "Entune" system, just the basic radio. I connect my iPhone 5 via Bluetooth; it works wonderfully. I can still use the handset controls to make phone calls; I have speed dials set up, and using my iPhone 5 as a phone in the car works great.
What stopped working this morning: skipping tracks using either the "Seek" button on the Prius radio itself as well as the controls on the steering wheel. Volume controls on the radio itself AND on the steering wheel work just fine for adjusting the volume.
The "Pause/Play" button on the Prius radio does work, but only after about :04 seconds or so. A song or podcast will play; the steering wheel controls for skipping tracks does not work; same with the Seek button on the radio itself; and pressing the pause/play button works, but not immediately after depressing it. Takes a few seconds.The only way to skip ahead/backward is on the iPhone itself.
For the almost 2 months I've owned the Prius C, this is the first time this has happened. Connecting audio via Bluetooth has "just worked" every single day. What's perplexing about this is that I've changed nothing on the iPhone overnight. The Seek button on the Prius radio worked fine yesterday, as did the steering wheel controls not even 24 hours ago.
The Seek button on the radio itself does work with the radio and a CD. Same with the steering wheel controls; as long as I'm not trying to control the iPhone, it works fine.

I was on a highway on my Toyota Sienna LE 2012 today and hit a minor bump (the steel protrusions on road you feel when driving over a bridge) I first thought the tire pressure signal come on, slowed down and it seemed OK. All indicators - Check Engine, ABS, VSC, Brake, Pressure, etc were also ON, speedometer, odometer not working and I stopped under a mile at a gas station. Turned off car, checked tire pressure, it was OK and restarted car - all indicators still ON, speedometer, odometer and power window controls do not work. Steering feels tight but I can drive car - I was on my way to JFK Airport and on Beltway Pky East another 10mi to go yo JFK. Car drove fine, but with all these indicators on, and steering what felt like manual.
I plan on taking car for service tomorrow but I have never remotely experienced anything like this on a car. I am also worried I messed up the car (and dangerous if something else happened...) driving to get to the airport. What could have gone wrong?

I have a 2008 Honda Odyssey. I purchased the van used back in February with 34,000 miles on it. About a week after I bought it, the van started having odd electrical problems. My radio controls on the wheel would stop working, my rear wiper would start running even though it is in the off position. My power sliding doors would catch and close at the half way point on both sides at the same time. It is little odd ball stuff, but I am worried that the "brain" is not working properly. I have taken it to the dealer multiple times and of course they can't find the problem. They say to bring it back if it keeps happening, which I do, but every time they say it is fine and send me on my merry little way.

I have never seen a car with more electrical problems in my entire life. Everything is wrong with this thing. Driver door controls don't work. The only way to get the driver door to roll down is if i take the positive of my battery and put it back on, boom window rolls up and down for 10 mins and than stops working. It literally seems like if i take the positive off my battery it solves all my issues and everything works. The car wont even start in 15 degree weather. I don't even want to know how long it will take me to start this thing in -30 weather. Its got a very loud knocking noise in the right rear. I Haven't been able to go to school for a week cause the thing is stuck in my driveway.

08 R32. Having problems with their A/C. It was working one week an not the next. There is no sign of any leaks or any damage to any hoses or the compressor. There is power to compressor but doesn't seem as if the clutch is engaging.

My kessy key fob stopped transmitting . no more keyless entry or keyless starting. Buttons still work and i can start the car by holding the key fob on the steering column. I used my vag com to check key fob signal and there is none. Its the key fob because my wifes key fob is still transmitting and i can read a signal on it. Its annoying driving around with the key not in range message popping up all the time. This is why you can drive the car without a key fob in it. I know people were complaining about that but it makes since know if your key fob stops transmitting so you don't get stranded. Any ways a trip to the dealer and a hour and half for them to figure out what i told them, they ordered me a new key fob.not sure why they wouldn't stock a key fob but now i have to go back when it comes in for them to reprogram it. Good thing im still under warranty. I am scared how much this will cost when not in warrenty. Having regrets about the kessy system now.

I hit my panic button to located car at school and I hit it again nothing turned off alarm kept going off then I hit unlock button horn sound went away but my hazards were still flashing. As I hit it again it was a delayed reaction and finally my hazards went off the buttons ony remote were a bit delayed to work after all that my fogs stopped working bought a new relay and checked all fuses still not turning on also hooked it up to VAG and it was reading the lights

So i am looking to install a new steering wheel onto my 2009 vw tiguan because i personally love paddle shifters in cars. However, i went to the dealership and the technician told me that is was not possible to install the wheel and have the paddles work...he said that they would to reprogram the entire steering column or something.... This morning I started my car and all was well, all gauges working. Drove 2 miles and stopped to get gas. Put some gas in my car and started it back up. My gas gauge never went up. Stayed slammed down to the E. All my other gauges were working normally except the gas. My gas light was not on saying I was on E, and I don't have a CEL.

The tachometer in my 2010 golf recently stopped working. it just sits at 0 RPM's no matter what. I'm not sure if it is a fuse or something else has gone wrong. I'm not even sure which fuse to replace to try and fix the problem.

A couple months ago my Key Fob stopped working. I tried using the button and then tried to use the key to unlock the door. I'm trying to figure out if there is a possibility that the immobilizer in my fob is junk or maybe its something as easy as changing the battery (which is another issue in itself because I cant open the fob for the life of me) Once again just curious if there is something I can do to fix this issue without contacting and dealing with the dealership. Would like to be able to lock my car again at some point.
