View 4 RepliesI need to replace the center mesh grill on the front bumper. Is there anything I need to be careful with or watch out for. when I pull on the old grill or when I push the new one back into place? Does it come out easily or is it tricky?
View 4 RepliesIs there an easy How To write up on how to remove the front grill? I want to install some grill inserts I picked up.
View 7 RepliesIm switching out the bulbs on the front turn signal light today, I reach my fat little fingers in there and can barely pull off the wire harness that goes into the back of it. When I did this the wire coverings on all three wires just disintegrated I would guess from the heat inside the headlight. Wel there's a short from where they are touching and my signals don't work at all. my question is I can hardly even reach my fingers down in there too remove that wiring harness ( which is the shortest wire ive ever seen) is it necessary for me to remove the grill the front bumper and each headlight in order to access the wires better?
View 5 RepliesJust bought a new grill and I was trying to take off the original one but idk where the other bolts are apart from the 4 on top.
View 11 RepliesSo I am in the process of removing my front silver grill to paint it and was wondering do I need to drop the whole bumper to get it off??
View 16 RepliesFor those people who received a holeless grill in a 2 plate state how did you mount your front plate. I am supposed to have the holeless grill installed this Wednesday. I was thinking about using zip ties and mount it underneath it's original location but I am afraid that I will be blocking the radiator. I could do it by the side grill.
View 24 RepliesHow to remove the front emblem on a golf? I removed the four screws and tried pulling out the grill but nothing. I dont want to break any snaps so looking for pics. Also is there a need to remove the grill to get the badge out?
View 1 RepliesI have took off the screws in below pictures. But the bumper seems still stick on the car body. Any screws are missing? Or other issue?
View 4 RepliesLooking for a write up, is it just stuck on there like the back GTI or is it screwed in?
View 6 RepliesI have the grill out, how do i get to the three tabs the emblem is attached with...
View 9 RepliesI want to place my navi antenna under the front speaker grill. How to get it pop up?
View 5 RepliesCan't find out how to remove the driver side front bumper grille. I could not see any screws or tabs holding it in. I'm hoping it can be removed without taking off the entire front bumper.
View 5 RepliesI'm planning on buying the chrome grill for my 2006 and I want all the front to be chrome.
View 9 RepliesGot back from a three hundred mile trip and after washing the car I noticed that the chrome wrap on my 450h 2013 front grill is bubbling up? The last month temperatures have been around 10 degrees but no snow. Will take to dealer next time in Spokane. But would like to know how to prevent this in the future.
View 7 RepliesIs there a source for a insert for the tow hooks & between the fog lights?
View 2 RepliesWell, due to an unresolved A/C issue my dealer has had my Treg for 2 weeks out of the past 2 months and then my front grill flew off and smashed my windshield. Dealership agreed to cover the damage but managed to sell-off my replacement windshield by accident. Been driving around for 2 weeks with a badly cracked windshield, waiting for replacement glass. Funny thing is that the crack in the glass now has made my "rainsensing" wipers trigger better than before. But now I have
View 3 RepliesI have a 2002 SC430 with 130K+ miles. I have recently noticed that after some spirited driving the front of my car smells strange. I can even smell it outside of the car in the front where the radiator is. The smell is coming from the engine and through the front grill.
If I set my climate control to pull air in from the outside then the smell will get pulled into the cabin.
I checked to see if the exhaust evap hose got disconnected but it has not (can also cause smell around the car). The check engine light is not on and the temperature gauge appears normal. I've noticed my windows seems to fog up easily too now (I run the heater all the time since it's winter here), perhaps some antifreeze is getting into the climate control system? I'm hoping it's not my heater core starting to go, since that's an expensive repair.
Perhaps this could be a sign that the radiator is leaking? I got the car used and believe I have the original radiator in there.
what are some methods to have the original chrome pieces such as the front grill and window trims painted into glossy black. I called my paint guy and he told me chrome pieces are not 'paintable' and that I shouldn't go that route.
View 8 RepliesSeveral times it would have been nice just to pull the plastic grills off and clean out the bugs. What are the details on how you can do this?
Using a tube to vacuum tube through the grill holes can result in bending the fins. Attached is an example hack at a coin op on a road trip. Need a better way.
I am having trouble finding the correct part number for the Ford emblem that goes on the front grill on an 09 F150 lariat crew cab. My father in law asked me to order one since his is faded badly. What is the correct part number?
