Just want to make sure that this is the right bulb.

View 8 RepliesSo I bought a set of Phillips XTreme Vision bulbs for my GTI VII S. Problem is that I cant seem to open the rear housing of the headlight on the drivers side to gain access to make the switch. The gearbox is right behind and there is barely room to get my hand back there. Is there some trick I am overlooking?
View 3 RepliesThis just started happening a few days ago. The right bulb will turn on normally with the rest of the car, but as I'm driving it will randomly turn off for a second, then power back on. Some nights I won't see the issue at all, other nights it will be doing this every other couple of minutes or so.
View 10 Replies2002 Jetta, how do you remove the cover over the blinker bulb on headlight? There is a rectangular black cover with a tab at the top. I have tried everything, short of breaking it off, to get the tab to release the cover. What is the trick?
View 1 RepliesA cab light (OEM) has burned out. I'd like to replace it. What style/part number bulbs are used?
The closest tangential reference I can find is to 194, with additional references to 168 and 912. A Google Image Search of makes it seem like I'm getting warmer.
So a couple weeks ago my passenger headlight started flickering. After a couple days the bulb was out. I bought a new bulb and opened up the headlight to install and found the bulb melted into the igniter. Ok, bought a new igniter. Installed everything. And still nothing. Checked the fuses and wires, nothing loose. Headlight still didn't turn on. Went to my mechanic and he said it's the ballast. I buy a new ballast and he just called and said the ballast I bought was defective. The light was turning on, but no high beam.
Does the ballast control the high beam? If it's not the ballast, what could be the problem?
I have a 2009 Camry LE V6, unmodified, bought new from the dealer.
My driver's side headlight burned out. I also noticed my driver's side high beam was burned out as well. This is unusual as I never use my high beams. The main headlight was an Osram Night Breaker Unlimited. I swapped in my spare Philips bulb and all was good for a 3-4 days. The spare is a few years old that I kept when I installed the Osram.
Today I noticed the backup bulb has burned out.
So it's either a coincidence that 3 bulbs have burned out in the driver's side assembly, or there is a greater issue. My worry is that I will install a new bulb and it will burn out in a few days. Is there anything I can do, short of taking it to the dealer, to try and troubleshoot this?
Passenger side light is not working. When the regular lights are on the bulb is not working, when the high beams are on, its working fine.
I guess this is called the headlight (H11 bulb).
Have had my '11 Tiguan with 46K miles on in it into the dealer twice now for this issue. The first time they diagnosed the issue as a faulty control module, ordered one from Germany, installed in and the issue went a way for a while...
Over the past week the problem has come back with a vengeance. The Tiguan would complain that various headlights, fog lights, blinkers and backup lights were out. Sometimes turning on the lights and turning on the high beams would fix the issues, other times turning off the car and starting it again was necessary. Went into the dealership today and the issue was diagnosed as a burned fuse block.
Passenger side parking lamp burned out in the headlight assembly. Have tried to pull rubber boot off the back of lamp assemply but I can't get my hand back in their to reach the parking lamp. If I have to pull the headlight assembly out from the car.
View 3 RepliesThe left side light bulb on the overhead reading light console is burned out. How do I remove the lens or open the cover to replace this bulb?
View 3 RepliesThey sure don't make bulbs like they use to and whats with the high damn prices for halogen bulbs.
View 11 RepliesLooking for instruction on how to change the headlight bulb?
View 14 RepliesMy headlight bulb is out on the left side. Tt's just a regular bulb, not HID's or anything. I got a new bulb and it still doesn't work. I checked the wiring and it seems intact. The other lights which are connected in the housing work fine.
View 1 Replies2008 Santa Fe. Removed 2 bolts and 1 nut as shown in manual. cleared the clip at the bottom outboard corner. What else am I missing? I'm still Unable to remove the headlight bucket. It will only come out about an inch or so then feels like something else is holding on.
