May 28, 2016
I'm going back to my stock exhaust and was wondering what to do with the air hose that was cut off from the stock exhaust.

View 3 RepliesNot sure if this is inherent to the exhaust setup on the R32, but had I noticed quite a bit of carbon build up on the driver's side tip versus the passenger side tip which was nearly clean.
This morning, I had it idling to warm up and with the exhaust vapor visible, there seemed to be about 3 times as much coming from the driver's side. Is this normal or should I get it checked out? I know that it's not gonna be exactly even, but it's exhausting probably 75% from one side...
OK, my stock exhaust would rattle when I shifted UP with the DSG, seems to be a fairly common thing. I got the EJ exhaust and it STILL does it on occasion, not as bad. Is there a loose heat shield or something? If I rev the car slowly while driving (not standing still) and get it to red line there is no metallic rattle. If I rev it fast and shift, it rattles
View 8 RepliesI have had the raspy sound both from stock exhaust and TT exhaust. Is this cat related? heads related? anyway to avoid it?
View 22 RepliesI was running errands yesterday, left the car for an hour, then got back in and noticed that the deep rumble of the exhaust that I love was suddenly gone. The car seemed fine when driving, but the wookie growl only showed up for a few moments. No CEL. What could be causing this?
View 1 Replies. What would happen if I had a muffler shop turn my stock exhaust into a true dual exhaust system with 2 magnaflow mufflers on my 6.9L N/A diesel?
View 5 Repliesi cant find the dyno post but didnt the isf make more power with headers and stock exhaust?
View 6 Replieswhats the size of stock exhaust? Is it 2.25"? Also what type of flange does it use in the axle back exhaust?
View 14 RepliesLooking for if it would be okay to tune my 6.0 with the SCT SF3 tuner with the stock exhaust, I measured it and the stock exhaust is 3 and 5/8 inches...
View 5 RepliesI have a 94 f150 with the 351 and i was wondering how loud it would be with that huge stock muffler cut off and jsut the two cats still in place. I heard the cats will still quite it down a little bit cuz I don't want anything obnoxiously loud...
View 1 RepliesI want to get rid of the stock exhaust and run a 4' or 5' exhaust all the way back. Will I still need to use DEF? Completely remove the whole system.
View 9 RepliesHow will a muffler delete on stock exhaust sound? I don't want to remove the cat because I don't want it to be too loud. I want it to sound good but not too much whistle (considering my truck is a 2003 the whistle would be very loud) Should I just to a delete pipe on the stock exhaust, or do a cat-back 4 inch straight pipe? what will sound better? Also doing the cat back exhaust will cost a lot more.. but is it worth it? What I should do.
View 4 RepliesLooking for aftermarket headers for a 2011 f250 6.2l gas job. I have the famous leak and I want to put something in that isn't going to warp. I was told shorty headers typically match up with the stock exhaust. Eventually going to put in a cat back also so true shorty headers would be sick.
View 14 Replies i just got a 2008 FEH 100K paid 11500 out the door 12800 is that a good deal? everything is clean. It has the upgraded sound system but i noticed that some feh have the mpg displayed on the screen it look like the feh with navigation not sure if this is seperate from nav or just part of touch screen. in any case is it possible to just install the stock dvd/nav stereo to get the mpg avg screen? if so is ther a guide
also is there a good read around here for new feh owners? looking to get the most mpg out of this ride.
my (mostly) stock suspension is squeaking at 45k and overall is a bit louder than it was. I do have VWR F&R sways installed as well as the tyrolsport deadset subframe bolts, but everything else is stock. I was considering the VWR springs but have held off so far...
Objective: maintain ride comfort while getting better performance than stock. Ride comfort is key as I travel on quite a few harsh roads out here in the Northeast. I was fairly happy with stock as is was lower/stiffer than the stock GTI suspension that I was accustomed to. For the most part, I actually like the GTI's comfier ride better in commuting/road trip scenarios (which is the bulk of my driving). Bottom line, I want something durable, comfortable, and better handling than stock.
At 45k should I replace the struts as well?Could the squeaking be from something other than strut mounts? Are there coil-overs that would achieve my objective?
What the spring loaded valve is for in the stock air filter box is for? I replaced the air filter with a K&N and found the valve in the box. My guess is to open with the engine air draw with a dirty filter.
View 15 RepliesMy r does not have the stock seats in it due to theft. Now, my question is how can I get the air bag light to turn off?? I cannot get the seats for another month and need to have the car inspected !!
View 2 RepliesI need to test the stock fuel pump. Best way of doing so?
View 8 RepliesI called 2 VW dealerships but they couldn't give me an answer on how much adjustment for camber is possible. I did the search but only found rear camber adjustment info.
View 2 RepliesI installed my coil overs this weekend and it took some work to get my passenger side sway bar end link on. It was too short it seemed.the mod ts on the coil overs are I. The same place on both front coil overs. I had to put A LOT of force to get it on there. I'm wondering if other have had this issue and or what did you do? Is it putting a lot of stain on the sway bar or end link. By the way its the stock sway bar as well.
